Beware of this company! In May I began a kitchen remodel & flooring job. Went to 5 different places before I found what I liked at Price Floors. Had their employee come out to measure & I bought it. Their contractors came a week later and started installing the floors up to where kitchen area is & stopped. Cabinets were delayed until last week. The contractors at Price couldn't come back to finish installation for a couple weeks due to being booked so I hired someone else to finish it. I had 5 boxes left so I went to return them for a refund. First they are going to tell me Im lucky that im even getting a refund cause its over 60 days. Nobody told me that! Then they charged me a 20% restocking fee! If their guy was competent & gave a accurate square footage I wouldnt have to return anything! I got ripped off royally! I got a refund but it was not anywhere what I spent! Rude and unprofessional in my opinion. Should've gone elsewhere! read more

Terrible experience. Measured flooring for 4 rooms and quoted a price and when they didn't have enough tiles for the last 2 rooms they said they made a mistake and charged again. The story gets worse the original flooring was priced at $4.19 a sq ft but we changed to a different flooring because we didn't like the flooring delivered. The flooring delivered was only $2,69 a square ft but they kept a 35% restocking fee even though the order say 20% restocking fee. read more

Next, a delivery scheduled for 11:30 arrived at 4:30 because their driver was unlicensed and denied entry by security. Next flooring installation crew takes off w/o leaving ant materials in the event of unforeseen problems in future. The in store sales are what you would expect but their 3rd party installation crew, at least their carpet installers, are mean, disrespectful, have no customer service skills and show no respect for the property of the homeowners. They only have one set of carpet installers that they use and you pay the installers directly - not to Price but in the name of the installers company. One of the installers became belligerent when he came in and saw a room full of furniture to be moved. Mind you this is an occupied house and the invoice clearly states furniture to be moved, as we paid extra for this service. He asked who is going to move the furniture? His demeanor went down hill from there. He then proceeded to place furniture in a bathroom which had recently been totally rehabbed. We told him he could not place an armoire in the bathrom as he would damage the entry. He stated "don't tell him how to do his job"! It became necessary to call the store before he would follow our direction. After he left we found numerous scratches on the walls of the bathroom that I am still fixing. He broke a phone line to another room and now we don't have any way to fix this. When he put the furniture back we asked him to move it one half of an inch and his response was "no this is where it was, I measured". There are other examples but this illustrates the situation. When I went back to the store to discuss the job the salesperson was very nice and apologetic but of no help. There are to many floor covering and home rehab stores to count in So. Fla. so I would take this into consideration when making your selection. As the saying goes, "let the buyer beware"! read more

I researched my options for the flooring and could not be happier with our choice. Nicole and the rest of the gang are fantastic. Lee came over to measure the home and his and advise was extremely helpful. They are warm , friendly ,professional and competitively priced. They were happy to work with me on pricing. Terrible service. Salesman told us one thing but after we paid they didn't do many of the things they said they would they don't pull permits which required us to hire a contractor a separate plumber and Sheetrock guy. These were to be included but they couldn't do without permits. They didn't order enough tile for shower floor and we waited months only to learn they couldn't get more. They made us pay for new tile and would not credit us for orig tile that they made mistake with. A nightmare to deal with. They don't do their own installation. My husband & I are remodeling our 2 bathrooms ourselves. I live in West Palm Beach & so, naturally, went to the nearest tile store to my home. I was ignored for the first 10 minutes after entering, then coldly told I could not only NOT get price ranges on tile nor even SELECT a tile unless I was a licensed tile contractor. Fine. (Having been in the trades over 30 years, I knew she could SHOW me tile & quote LIST price but not "my contractor's" price. I advised "we" were our own contractor & she stood firm....no sale! Now, to get to my main point. I then drove to DELRAY BEACH (where I had other business that day) and stopped into Price Flooring. From the greeting when I walked through the door, to the product selection & array of pricing to suit any budget, and the patiently delivered knowledge of their field, this is now "My" tile store. It is a pleasure to do business with people you feel you can trust. Prior to going to Price Flooring, I had read some not-so-great reviews and had to see for myself. Again, having been in the trades, I knew a difficult customer comes along now & then & perhaps they were an ok place to shop. The only thing that's gone according to Price's commitment was the purchase and payment. A simple tile shower and floor job has taken 2 weeks to be half done, with the current end-of-job commitment to be 5 days from now. The problem has been with scheduling the installer, who so far does good work when he works. Lots of down time and days off has turned this 5 day project into 2.5 weeks. read more

Floors were supposed to be in on a Monday, then no it was going to be Tuesday, then no it was not coming in until Wednesday, oh wait it will be in on Thursday! None of this would have been known without my calling daily to find out where my floor was. Peter promises to call you with an update on the floor but never does and when you call him he is conveniently always busy so never speaks to you. The carpet installer left a mess in my house, leaving a pile of trash on my living room floor after installing carpet in my bedroom closet. Unfortunately I have to join to the rest of the people that wrote bad reviews about this business. I bought from Price Flooring on two occasions, First time was Laminated Engineered Wood for my previous home over two years ago and everything went nice and smooth. On the second occasion was a total disaster. I bought different type of tiles for two bathrooms and also some laminated wood for one bedroom. On the first delivery everything went wrong. All the material were wrong and we returned everything. My wife had to deal with this return and she was treated very rude by one of the ladies that work there, she told her in a very rude manner that this was all our fault. Then I went to the store and talked to the owner about this treatment, he ask me not to judge a whole business by one person. He was very polite and professional. On the second delivery everything was correct except for one of the tiles that were in back order and then we realize that they also included 20 boxes of a similar tile that we never ordered and were back order as well. Then we went to the store for a refund of these 20 boxes that we never ordered and payed. This time another lady photocopied the invoice and told my wife she will call us back. We never received this call, so once again I return to the store. After dealing for awhile with the same lady she asked the warehouse manager if they have these 20 boxes in stock and he responded that all 20 boxes were in the warehouse. I asked to talked to the owner. This time he was very rude, he didn't accept their fault on this and told me that these 20 boxes were a special order from California and they don't accept returns on special orders. I told him that we never ordered those boxes, that was their mistake and I wanted a refund. He told me that he was not supposed to but the only thing he could do is to make a refund minus a 20% restocking fee. I accepted but I told him that I would never buy from them again. After I told this he ask me to leave the store on a very violent attitude. To make long story short, I ended up paying $335 for something that I never ordered and never received. They stole $335 from me. This is an extremely unprofessional and dishonest business. Some of the employees are very nice when you walk in, after they close the deal everything changes. I encourage everyone to shop around, there are many different good businesses to deal with and most of them have better price and very good customer service. If you want to be treated honestly, decently and respectfully, do not deal with Price Flooring. Avoid this store at all cost. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! I purchased carpet from Price Carpet because I wanted to support a small, locally-owned business. The employees repeatedly lost my order once it was placed. I was told the padding they use would be an upgrade. This was certainly not the case as, following the installation, I found dust-like flecks of padding stuck to the walls, furniture and baseboard. The day before installIon, I had called to confirm and discovered they didn't have me on the list! They scrambled to get someone to install as I told them I had to leave two days later. There were also other problems with the installation that I called and emailed the owner about and got no response. This business advertises on TV. Don't be taken in by their ads. This company contracts out for the worst installers ever! We had laminate floating floor installed after our tile all tented and cracked. The man who redid the floor after removing the tile was completely incompetent. He had no idea what he was doing. Now, 3 years later, we had to replace the kitchen laminate due to a leak. The new installer after removing the laminate found they had never removed the thin set and even left pieces of tile underneath making an uneven install. We still have area that crackle when we walk. We had the whole main area of the house done. Despite our constant complaints while the job was being done they refused to send a different installer. Now we have to have the floor in the kitchen all smoothed out with cement to have a smooth install for an additional cost if $1000. The new installer was appalled at the horrible job. AGREE WITH BUYER BEWARE. I agree with all the negative comments about their tile having spent almost $7,000 dollars on the bathroom the work was done very poorly and it took a month and a call to the owner for a fix but every time I use the bathroom I look at the poor installation and bad grouting of the work. When I purchased there they assured me they had their own contractors that did great installation work not true. They left many chipped tiles in the wall that had to be repaired and numerous other mistakes as in wrong tile when they came to install. Steer clear of this company no matter how nice they seem their installation is not good. Should have wrote this review last year at the time but just got to it. Our salesperson Peter was lovely and quick to accomodate us. Thats where the kindness ended, Once the sale was made everything went South !! He overestimated the amount of flooring we needed and we are now stuck ( and paid for ) 3 extra boxes of flooring!!! The installation was a long drawn out process and still not rectified. The workmanship is below par. The men who layed the tile are not true professionals. The grout lines were crooked, skimping on grout gave the appearance of missing grout between tiles on walls. One corner was chipped and needed to be replaced. The edges on the decorative insert were cut poorly leaving jagged rough edges. I surmised that the saw blade needed to be replaced. I was told, " its not our cutting, the edges always turn out that way". I would not recommend Price Flooring to anyone. FOLLOW UP : I was upset when told I was "too picky" by first installer. After I wrote this review and follow up phone calls - Different installers came back and fixed all the errors. My bathroom looks great. We primarily worked with Lee, but when we needed help choosing grout color, we enlisted the entire staff. DO NOT EVER BUY CARPET FROM PRICE FLOORING IN DELRAY ON THE CORNER OF ATLANTIC AVENUE AND CONGRESS. I've purchased both carpet and tile from them over the years with sub-par customer service, but I wanted to support local family-owned business. I was overcharged for my tile and they promised to make good as best they could if I bought my next carpet from them. SO I go to buy carpet a THIRD time last week and no they did not save me a dime or even try. The carpet took a week and was slated to be installed the following Thursday. On Tuesday their contractor, Pepe, calls me saying the carpet may come in early can he come in the afternoon the next day. I said yes but is the carpet already here? He says he won't know until 10 I said well call me then. I have to make special arrangements and get the cash to pay him, etc... I got stuck in meetings on Wednesday and didn't get a chance to call him back until noon. I said you'll have to wait to tomorrow (Thursday the original date it was scheduled). He said can you just have someone let me in I"m already on the way. I said well let me see what i can do. He then calls me again while I'm furiously making calls. I call him back and said someone will be there at 1:30 he said I'm already here can I go in through a window or in back? I said can you just wait until 1:30?! He said okay. I'll call you if I get in. I said yes please call me but someone will be there. Two minutes later he calls me back from INSIDE the house and says I got in, someone needs to come pay me and oh it's going to be $25 more because part of the floor is ceramic. I said don't do anything let me call PRICE FLOORING! I call and start telling my story to the lady and then the contractor calls them on another line. I'm on hold forever then finally the lady comes back and says I should have told them part of the floor was ceramic. HOW IN THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW TO TELL YOU THAT, YOU DIDN'T ASK? You were too worried about closing the sale! AND BY THE WAY, YOUR CONTRACTOR BROKE INTO MY HOUSE!! HOW UNPROFESSIONAL IS THAT?! She says he said you told him he could go in ma'am. I said the house was locked I didn't think he would break in. She said, he says the door was unlocked ma'am. I'm sorry, HOW IS THIS STILL OKAY?! She says, "Ma'am I'm not sure what you're trying to do here..." WHAT I'M TRYING TO DO?! I'M THE CUSTOMER and she is accusing me of trying to do what? NOT ALLOW SOME STRANGER TO BREAK INTO MY HOME?! Perhaps I was unclear with Pepe and I made some assumptions, but he was talking a mile a minute, pressuring me to let him in my house somehow and being completely unprofessional. What's worse is the way I was treated!!!! I'm beyond angry, I'm beside myself that someone would actually treat a customer this way regardless of what their contractor is telling them. Unbelievable. I was referred to Nicole Lemelin at Price Flooring by the contractor who was renovating my condo. I walked into the store with very little idea of what was available or what I wanted, and I was totally overwhelmed by the extent of the choices available to me. All of that changed when I met Nicole. She patiently asked me many questions and listened intently. Slowly, she started showing me options being very sensitive to my budget. We worked on one room at a time. She suggested that I take samples to the condo to see how they looked in the light there and to also show to my kitchen designer. When changes were needed, she welcomed them with no problem. In the end, my condo is beautiful and even better than I imagined. Price Tile has completed 3 projects for me this year. A master bathroom, a guest bathroom and a kitchen backsplash. Peter Price provided very professional consultation to bring my designs to life regarding design and material, Price Tile provided all the material and installation.. These installations involved intricate work with glass mosaic tiles and porcelain wall and floor tiles. This included a corner shower, vanity wall and a tub surround. Also the floors of each room. The installation involved using metal accent strips which were precisely set within the tile work. The kitchen is a beautiful white subway tile. The projects were completed in three phases over 3 months. This was as planned. In each case, the crews arrived on the scheduled day at the appointed hour. They immediately began demolition and when this was complete, the plumber was there to install the necessary valves without causing any delay in the ongoing work. The reconstruction of the walls which had been removed was seamless and work progressed as expected. The plumber returned to install the trim as the tile work was completed without any delay in the process. In each case, the jobs were completed within 4 days (the kitchen in 1 day). No need for any call back for any repairs. As they had properly covered and sealed areas to avoid dust and to protect my wood floors, little evidence they someone had actually done such a massive job was evident. They left my home as it was when they arrived. In each case I asked for the same installer, Marcos. A great guy who does great work. I have recommended this company to all who have seen their work at my home. I think that says it all. They are GREAT!! to work with! read more

Price has done several jobs for me. They did a flawless job installing 24"x24" rectified porcelain tile throughout my whole house. This is particularly demanding and I am very happy to have it done so well. Price has also installed baseboard and laminate in several rooms in several homes for me. They have installed floor and 24"x24" tiles on the walls of a small shower. Again, this was demanding and also required flexibility. Price delivered beautifully. With the volume of work, there were things that needed attention but they were few and far between and addressed quickly and professionally. Nobody is actually perfect all the time, but Price has been five-star for me during all of the several jobs they performed. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars! One of the worst customer service experiences I ever had to deal with. They were so nice when I was purchasing, however, after the install and I had a few issues NO ONE would call me back or return emails. I wish I would have read all the issues before I walked into that showroom. Beware- they hire outside contractors for installing-if something goes wrong, Price flooring says they have nothing to do with the install when THEY hired them! This is why people go to Home Depot.
