After an unpleasant experience with the service department at the local (Dover) dealership which sells a major import brand, I called Price to ask if they could do the periodic maintenance (timing belt change and attendant items) the car needed. I was immediately advised they could do so, and was given an appointment for two days later (the other outfit could do no better than two weeks). After arriving at Price, Dayna (the service rep I dealt with) quickly took care of the paperwork for the work to be done, and arranged courtesy transportation for me to my home, as well as pickup to get me back to pick up my car. A few hours later, I received a call from Dayna, telling me that the tech performing the work (Mike Davis) ascertained that the car needed a brake-related issue corrected, I asked if this could possibly be completed that day, and was pleased to hear say, "yes." A couple of hours afterwards, she called to tell me the work was completed, and sent the courtesy vehicle to pick me up. Nowadays, many regard their car like an appliance - toaster, refrigerator, or some such. There are still people that don't, and I am one such. The car went into Price in pristine inside and outside condition - and was returned to me in exactly that condition. Also - and this is important - all the work was done exactly as tech data specified, even though this is a non-Honda vehicle. I could easily tell that by looking at items and areas not ordinarily examined by car owners. The bottom line for this picky guy is that Price Honda did it all, and did it all perfectly. read more

Price Honda went above and beyond for me. I have a 2007 Honda civic which I had taken in for an oil change and for tire rotation on a May 15, 2019. There was a error regarding my breaks so I left thinking they were in good condition bases off the paper work I had received. After I left I noticed a my breaks were making very loud noises when I would drive and didn't have this problem prior to, so I called Honda to set up another appointment for that Saturday to have my breaks checked. I was told my caliper had frozen up and the back breaks needed to be replaced because the pads were worn down to the end due to the caliper freezing up and if I continued to drive the rotators would need replacement. I was very upset and overwhelmed because I had just taken my car to Honda two days prior and was never told my breaks were bad. I contacted the general manager and told him my concerns. He finally realized what had happened which turned out to be the paper work I received was from my previous visit in 2018 and was not the up to date version I should have received which was noted on there that my breaks needed to be replaced. The general manager did everything to make things right regarding my concerns and I left a happy customer. I will continue to go price Honda for services because it shows how much they really do care about their customers. Thank you so much again! I got there a bit early and I walked in and it took a while for someone to recognize me, but it was busy, so ok. The tech was nice for the most part. I tried to explain that something may be wrong with the car, as it is my car and I know its sound. He kinda brushed it off and told me it was something else. Of course, it was something that would need to be done and cost a lot more. No big deal. I told him I would wait in the waiting area for him to update me. Two hours later, he finally came out and said they would need to keep it overnight and I could pick it up the next morning. I was never offered a rental or anything, but no big deal. I was more frustrated with waiting that long. Come the next day, it was about 3:00 PM and I hadn't heard anything, despite being told it wouldn't take that long. I call and they say, oh it's been done a while. So, why didn't you call? This has happened a few times when I have taken my car there. I go to pick it up and they are going over the paperwork and the girl tells me, as part of the service, that my car was washed. Ok, I never asked for that, but sounds great. I have been a loyal customer and this is my fourth car from Price. When I go to leave, you can clearly see it hasn't been washed. Did someone forget that? Did they just lie to me? Either way, I was not pleased with this visit. I think I will take my car elsewhere and hope to pay less and have someone who will listen and give me the courtesy to call and not misinform me of the services that were performed. read more

August 9, 2016 My wife and I just purchased a pre-owned 2013 Honda Pilot from Price Honda. I am not sure which we were most impressed with, the high quality, smooth & quiet riding Pilot, or the fantastic personal service we received. We were interested in the Pilot and asked to discuss the vehicle further with a very personable sales person we had purchased from in the past, Dwayne Stevens. I won't include all the details of our experience working with him, but were once again impressed by his professionalism, knowledge of all the vehicles we considered, and the high level of comfort we felt as he answered all our questions and provided further insight into our decision making. During some of the few down times throughout the purchasing process, Mr. Stevens assisted us in addressing some actions we needed to take with two of the other Hondas we previously purchased at Price. It was evident that he was well respected at the dealership and had an excellent rapport with all of the other staff we had the opportunity to meet. Because our "new" Pilot is so road worthy and ideal for our needs, it may be a little while before we meet Mr. Stevens to purchase another vehicle, but we will be recommending his service and Price Honda to everyone we know who is looking for a reliable vehicle and the best experience possible for their next purchase. My Pilot was due for the B1 maintenance service and when I checked in I was asked if I wanted the interior vacuumed and I answered "that would be great". I was then told cars were no longer driven thru the car wash by staff, but I would be given a code to take it thru myself if I wished, I responded that would be fine. When I picked up my car I was told it was parked out front of the dealership, and that I would be glad to hear - the service personnel had time to both vacuum and drive my car thru the car wash. I thanked her over and over, got my keys, paid the bill and then found my car was not in front of the building, in fact I had to walk through the parking lot of Tractor Supply to the rear of the dealership to locate my car. On first inspection I thought my car hood did not look very clean, but it was getting near dusk so I couldn't really tell. Then getting into the car I realized the car had not been vacuumed & it had probably not been washed based on closer inspection the next morning. I realize these services are above and beyond the maintenance - but if it is offered to customers, then it should be performed. She was friendly, polite, and worked out the details to meet my needs since I was coming from Baltimore. She remained in contact with me until I could come and see the car. Here are the issues I had with Price: - They did not clean out papers and plastic ties from the interior. There is some sticky stuff in cup holder area I need to clean. - They said they would transfer my plates but they didn't. I have a temp plate and I do not have my old plate. I'm not sure if they will surrender to DMV or what so I guess I'll call DMV to find out. - I sent many emails and did not receive replies to most. Either the sales rep fault or their email system. Email should not be that hard. - Many of the features were not as described. Fortunately they were better. For example auto high beam turns on and off not just on as described. I have auto dimming mirror but was told I did not. Maybe they tied to upsell that? Just didn't seem to know the car I was buying very well. All these things seemed to demonstrate a lack of interest in me. They are lucky that they are selling great cars like Honda. I am very happy with the car. I also liked the fact that they offered a fair trade in. This is my 4th Honda but my most disappointing buying experience. I left very annoyed. read more

I have had great, great service experience with Price Honda over the last 13 years with my 2005 Odyssey so I decided to buy my 2019 with them. I did not know any of the Sales people but I lucked out with Justin Silva. He is a young man in his 20's (I'm old at 69) but he is on his game and knows EVERYTHING about Hondas. He spent a LOT of time with us going over everything about the new Odyssey and there is a lot to go over with all the safety features with Honda Sensing. I realize that vans are not a sexy vehicle but our former Odyssey is by far the BEST riding vehicle that I have ever owned and the 2019 is even better. Justin was very knowledgeable, did not pressure us into any options and was very personable. I would recommend him to anyone (including family) interested in buying a new Honda. I recently saw a Honda CRV-touring online and it was located in Dover, DE. I live about 1 hour away and the staff were all so accommodating, especially CJ! Originally, we were to be meeting with Glen who called me to confirm my time of arrival so that he could have the CRV ready for us to test ride. He was with another customer and asked CJ to help us. Greeted with a smile CJ was terrific. We test drove the CRV and bought the vehicle. CJ offered snacks and beverages while we waited. He also knew that we lived far away and arranged for 2 financial people to work with us so that we could complete the process faster. The price of the used 2016 was the best around. This is by far one of the best Honda dealerships around. I moved to Delaware from New Jersey and this was the most relaxed & no pressure sales. They far met my expectation with monthly payment. Having very good credit did help. My sales person took time (when it was clearly lunch time ) to show us the features in the car. They finance office was a great experience also. They didn't push for me to purchase all of the extra options available in the finance office. I highly recommend this dealership even if you have to travel from neighboring towns. I have been a loyal customer to Price for over twenty years, and have bought four cars from them. But they seem recently to charge very high prices for car maintenance. My last bill was a shocker. My bad that I did not ask for an estimate. But I guess trusting them to do you right is a mistake. Loyalty means nothing to them. It does not matter to them if you are a long term customer. Every interaction with them is a brand new one so they will never give you a break. They charged me $9.53 to change a light bulb. If they said, its on us, and let's knock 10% of your bill, it would have been different. No more Price Honda for me, they are not really the place you want to do business with. read more

Had an excellent experience at Price Honda! It was my first time there and Jenna was my service advisor. She answered all my questions and even found me a coupon online I didn't event know about. The mini-van was taken at my appointment time and was done about in an hour like she said. Just had an oil change. The only improvement I have is that I saw my car was done and in the pick up lane, but no one said anything to me for about 20 min. I guess check out was busy or they were finalizing paperwork, but it would have been nice to know why. They had snacks and drinks and a nice room for my 3 yr old to play.
