Occasionally you find kids shoes (since kids grow way too quick, perfect!) and decent cookware, making this a fun , well, find. Aldi itself deserves 2/5 stars for staffing, but the cashiers here were quick as always, and more pleasant than I'd be if I was the only one up front. This shiny new Aldi has it all, so bring your bags and a quarter, as always, and get your veggies first thing.

So, we made our first visit to the Outlet in Southington today. The differences between the two locations were striking. Southington is much larger and seemed to have a greater variety of products. It was more like a mini supermarket complete with produce, frozen goods, refrigerated goods, and a dairy case. Another difference is their 50% off room, where all sorts of non- foods items were half price. We used to pick up coffees, teas, frozen goods, and boxes of cereal at the Canton store. Just like Canton was, you have to check the pricing carefully because pricing is a real mixed bag. The Outlet is lower on some items and quite a bit higher on other items when compared to supermarket prices. We did find a few good buys- two squares of frozen jalapeno cornbread and two mini packages of frozen chocolate chip pancakes. How does $1.16 sound for all four? Yes, I thought you'd be as pleased with that as we were.
