Since these are winter clothes and the size was clearly too large, I wouldn't be able to use them anytime soon. When I went to return the items, the sales associate, Shaneen, told me the jacket could not be returned because the tag had been removed, even though I had the tag and the receipt with me. The interaction felt rude and unhelpful. She eventually said she would process the return "this time," as if she were doing me a favor, and even mentioned that I could speak to her manager, Kristen. She also did not review my receipt and refunded me based on the current sale price instead of the price I originally paid, which meant I received less money back. , I've been a longtime customer and have purchased many items from Janie and Jack. Mind you the elderly lady had a capable assistant, I think a granddaughter who was college age that absolutely could've helped her fix that box. I don't think that if an elderly person actually has help with them that you should take over the whole process making five other people wait 20 minutes until you finish wrapping her gift for her with her assistant right beside her. As soon as that woman and her niece walked away a new cashier came up and started helping. So basically she saw the line, she saw her building presence for other people and she still just stayed back in the back room not helping. Terrible customer service, bad form, that's not their job to put together a shower gift for a person when you have a line of five or more people waiting and you were the only cashier. It was ridiculous and I know that in these times that things have definitely changed but professionalism, it's not that hard, you can do it!!
