We had a mixture of "yours, mine and ours"beat up cheaper furniture so it just didn't make sense to move it with us. One of the first places we stopped was Ethan Allen. At first I was overwhelmed and I walked out of the store telling my husband, "it's nice, but it's not my style." Fast forward a couple weeks and looking at numerous stores, we went back to Ethan Allen. Renae helped us and she was a godsend. My husband and I aren't into interior design. We don't really identify with a particular style, but instead we know things we like. We walked around the store pointing out the things we liked and why plus the things we didn't and why. She came to our house in Marana, measured everything, and then gave us a proposal a week or two later. Her proposal was BEAUTIFUL. She nailed our style and it was so impressive. We ended up ordering a lights for above our kitchen island, a new buffet, liquor cabinet, dining table with chairs (some custom), and a rug. Delivery was great and always communicated. Everything was delivered by when they said it would. It's been a few months and we are still in love with everything. The buffer was delivered with the slightest damage on the bottom leg. I didn't notice until later that night. They had somebody at our house the next week to fix it. It looks good as new. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Their pieces are pricey compared to something like Sam Levitz, but the quality is worlds higher.

Their team is terrific too. Nick is affable and so easy to work with -- he is knowledgeable and makes sure work onsite is done correctly. We've worked with other companies where the field supervisor has "checked out". Not Nick -- he's dependable and responsible, characteristics you need in a project manager. Carrie, their office manager, is organized and kept us updated in a timely manner. Sometimes things go awry, but they made sure we were taken care of. They stand behind their projects and make sure any subcontractors warranty their work. Case in point: our bathroom remodel was completed 3 years ago. There was a breach in the wax seal in the toilet. Nick brought the plumber by and they took care of it. That's customer service! Because they are so good they are in high demand. You might have to wait several months as they have so many on-going projects, but as long as that expectation is there it's worth the wait.

I met with Kathy Nieto in May of 2020. I had hoped to have our whole house remodeled by October…read more2021. By October of 2020 she still had not provided final plans. I had repeatedly expressed to her that I had never worked with an interior designer before and that she would need to guide me through the process. She did give me the run down of what to expect 'overall' but nothing more than that. When I asked her for a open concept she told me it couldn't be done and that 'you can't always get what you want', when I suggested adding some columns to open up the space, she said 'ya we can do that'. With the years of experience that she has I would have thought that she should have made the recommendation. When she provided costing for the remake of our Master Bath/Master Bedroom/ Master closet it seemed extremely high considering we were using existing plumbing and drainage that was already in place, I asked her to see an itemized list to verify the costs. Her reply was 'I don't itemize, I ran the numbers again and they look good.' It would be weeks on end before I would get a reply back from here and I almost always had to be the one to initiate the contact. I was extremely frustrated with the whole process and actually dreaded working with her. To this day I still don't have final plans, but had to let her go, because I realized that we would not be a good fit. So I just have to just chalk up the $3,000 I paid for the plans as a learning experience. But on a good note, I did find another designer that is AWESOME. Very responsive, very budget conscious and just a joy to work with.
