Easy appointment set up to look at the job. He was patient and explained what the job would entail. He put his bid in writing and there was no pressure. We had enough time to make an informed decision. He and his crew showed up within the window of agreed upon and finished 2 days earlier than the promised completion date! The crew was polite and punctual. They were careful and made sure our outdoor furniture were out of the way. The clean up at completion was very decent. Eddie made sure the our irrigation system was working properly and did a walk through with me prior to taking the final payment. She talked down to me, belittled me over the communication gap, and made it very clear she wanted me to feel small over my financial timing. Let that sink in: I was considering paying this company $80,000, and this is how I was treated. It was arrogant, cruel, and completely unacceptable. No customer should ever be chastised or made to feel "less than," especially while dealing with a life-altering medical crisis. Ended up with Encantada pools because we liked the pool designer we started working with and he…read morestarted working there. 2 months after the contract was signed I texted the designer and was told he no longer worked for Encantada pools and needed to talk to the owner DJ. 5 months after the contract was signed and multiple attempts to reach the owner, excavation for the pool finally started. I would leave messages with the office person Allyssa and DJ would say he never got the messages. A new project manager showed up who was professional, responded to calls or text in a timely manner and explained the process. Before the pool was finished, this project manager also left the company. When the hand rail was installed incorrectly with some of the bolts sticking out of the concrete, DJ attempted to blame us for the placement. The pluming for the water features stuck out of the pool decking at different distances from the edge of the pool. DJ also made up conversations he said we had with him in which choices were made that never happened. Overall a sloppy job with lots of headaches. I would suggest going elsewhere.

We contacted a few companies for estimates on landscaping, and Sonoran Gardens immediately caught our attention. Matt, the Construction Manager, was very responsive and came to our home with Allen Denomy (Owner and Principal Designer of Denomy Designs) to walk the backyard and hear our ideas. Both Matt and Allen were extremely professional and helpful in offering suggestions on how to make our ideas come to life. We worked with Allen to design the backyard and were blown away at how quickly he put our designs together. He was very detail-oriented and offered a lot of creative ideas that we would have never conceived on our own. The design process was iterative, and we felt Allen heard and implemented our feedback so we always felt comfortable that we would end up with a design that would actually work and look beautiful. Once our design was finalized, Matt scheduled and coordinated all of the materials and labor. He quoted us 3 weeks to finish the backyard. To our pleasant surprise, everything went according to plan (and budget!) and they finished everything on the promised date. Matt was very communicative throughout the construction process, and it was easy to get ahold of him if we had any questions. From start to finish, the entire process was so smooth, and we are so happy with our backyard.
