When you take her class, you get a dog training manual which is really all you need from a training manual. Also, her class incorporates real-life lessons that are practical for life outside the classroom. I'm almost done with her adolescent level 1 class and I couldn't be happier. We're going to take her adolescent level 2 class. Cons: NONE. Dee is clearly the local dog expert; it shows and her reputation is more than deserved.

After only a few minutes of having her in our home and observing the dogs and us she was spot on with where our challenges are. Before today this review would easily been 5 stars…read more It has been a week now since the owner of honeydog reached out about my dogs groom. And I received nothing in return. Brought my dog here on March 21st 2023 My dog is an adorable 6 year old Labradoodle whom we've been bring to Honeydog happily for over a year now. Up until now they've done a great job with my dog. But regretfully this past visit was absolutely horrendous. The groomer was Sam that worked on my dog. I told them to leave his hair normal just trim and for a Labradoodle it should not look like a poodle. Not only was the cut a 7 blade super short cut but it was completely botched all over. His tail was cut so short it was only skin in sections making him look like he has a rat tail. His face was uneven. His coat completely different lengths. His butt area was shaved down so far you could see everything on his backside. Not to mention my dog was completely miserable for about 2 weeks since the cut and now that is growing back in a little he seems happier. The excuse I heard from the groomer Sam is that he had dry patches of skin "all over his body". I brought him to the vet and only areas that were a little sore was his posterior due to him rubbing his butt on the ground often. The owner Kerri reached out and made no effort other than trying to cut him shorter which would of been far too much. I feel ripped off. After getting my dog countless grooms over his life this has to be one of the worst cuts he's ever gotten. Friends and family said he looked like a stray dog And instead of having my opinion heard all I felt was excuses of how he has this body wide rash that wasn't even true in the first place. When I expressed my concern I got nothing in response. No I dont want him cut shorter he's already cut way too much. Its unacceptable. I hope they mediate the situation and don't continue giving awful cuts like my dog received. Its not acceptable as a paying customer to be given this type of service. Especially paying over 110 dollars from his groom with tip. I feel absolutely disrespected

I recently adopted a rescue, Teddy that was in desperate need of grooming, as he was filthy and…read morematted. Our regular groomer, Nancy was unable to fit him in, so she suggested Hair of The Dog. I was thrilled when Melissa called to say they had a cancellation and could fit him in. I was so impressed with everyone! The staff was professional and truly cared about the pets they were caring for. Teddy immediately relaxed and settled in. I was shocked when I went back to pick him up! He looked like a new dog! The staff is super nice and I never worry about leaving our girl there. They offer many services from flea baths to nails/specialty grooming and even colors! Holly comes out happy, smelling great and looking beautiful every time. We have gone to another place but they never got the "traditional" golden cut to look right but Hair of The Dog nails it every time!
