I honestly don't know how she thinks she can talk to customers the way she did to me and stay in business. I have never been treated or spoken to so poorly by anyone! I reluctantly left my dog there but was shaking with anger about this interaction. When I picked up my dog from Clean Paws Morgan couldn't have been nicer to me. I don't know if she had some insight into how she treated me when I initially arrived or what but I will never return to this grooming business ever again. If you make an appointment with Clean Paws grooming do not book with Morgan. After the appointment I walked directly to the store part of the business and spoke to a manager and let them know of my very poor experience.

When my family decided to get new pet birds there was only one place we wanted to go! All around the store staff was amazing. We knew quite a bit about bird care already , having raised plenty of birds in the past but the young ladies in the bird room were helpful, enthusiastic, knowledgable. Their attitude was something you don't find in retail anymore. They were a pleasure to work with and talk to. We also took a trip down to the aquarium and reptile room. The lovely lady who worked down there essentially gave us a tour of all the fish. She had extensive knowledge of the care for the fish, and their mannerism. When we were trying to load up our new bird cage they never got annoyed at the multiple trips I had to take inside for the proper tool. My only regret was that I didn't get the names of all the people we worked with. I know one's name was Victoria. I should have asked for their names. The management and owners should be very proud of their staff. If we didn't live so far away we would frequent this store regularly. In the end we walked with 2 new birds, a new cage, a couple of toys, and smiles all around. I am genuinely impressed and touched by the kindness, professionalism, and knowledge we experienced here. That type of interaction and customer service is something rare these days, and something I've only Coke to expect in Disneyland. Thank you!!

I had a sad experience today visiting Lebanon Pet and Aquarium Center. This is a store I've been…read moregoing to on and off for 30 years and today it was in the worst shape I've ever seen. The fish tanks were dirty and had very few fish in them. Many of the tanks had a sign saying the fish were being treated for "ich" due to stress. The tanks had blue-green algae, black beard algae and brown diatom algae with dirty glass and lots of debris on the bottom. The fish were listless and unhealthy looking and most of the live plants were pale or decomposing. There was not a single tank in the whole shop that was pretty or inspiring, not even the "show tanks." Upstairs in the bird and small animal room the rabbits and guinea pigs were in enclosures with dirty blankets as bedding and lots of droppings spilling out onto the floor. The saddest part was the birds, especially the parakeets who were huddled in one corner of their pen, all subdued and slightly fluffed up. None of them were moving around or eating or playing or even chirping like normal healthy parakeets usually do. I'm not sure what was wrong, but after observing for a while I noticed that the air conditioner was right over their heads, blowing a cold draft. Perhaps that was what they were trying to avoid by clustering together in one corner. The employees in the store were all very nice and doing the best they could. However they were all very young, some perhaps just teenagers and they seemed overwhelmed. In the fish room I learned that the "main guy" (who knew about how to care for fish) had quit his job there recently so no one left really knew how to keep the tanks in good condition. Upstairs in the animal room there was just one worker with the responsibility for all those animals and customer service too. My hope in writing this review is that someone in charge of this store, the manager or owner, reads this and is concerned enough to address these issues. The store definitely needs some employees who understand fish keeping to get those tanks up to some level of decency and they also need more help in the animal room. Overall the place really needs some positive leadership on site to raise morale as well as overall standards of care for the fish and animals.

It has been a week and I am flabbergasted that not once did they offer their condolences or sympathies on the loss of my dog! This is soul crushing that an organization working with animal adoptions has no empathy for people who lose a beloved family member. This action is so contrary to what I experienced 13 years ago when I also lost my dog at that time. Perhaps the UVHS can conduct staff training on how to offer condolences, and be more sympathetic towards donors who lose a cherished family member.

When someone says, "I think I made a friend," when talking about one of the birds who she permitted to step up into my hand and the bird let me stroke it behind its neck, you do not give a disgusted expression when questioned why she was giving that look, and you don't respond with, "I'm not going to say anything." Beyond rude. She needs a good talking too about customer service and how to talk to people more nicely. Edit:: First and foremost, I asked for permission. I didn't stick my hands unnounced in on my own free will concerning the conure enclosure. I asked, "Would it be okay if I tried--" Your employee said, "That's the only bird (conure) that will probably let you handle it." Her choice of words strongly implied that the other birds were unfriendly, which is not true of the Senegal. She did not explicitly state, "Do not touch any other birds," despite your sign. At this point, our employees had the authority to ask me to leave the bird room. Not only did she fail to do that, but she also permitted me to continue holding the bird. Your employee needs to improve her communication skills. As someone on the autism spectrum, I require specific, direct instructions to understand what is permitted. She did not provide that clarity. Her comment about the concur being the only bird likely to allow handling suggested to me that I might try interacting with another hookbill, with the caveat, "Don't be disappointed if you get the same results." This misunderstanding arose solely from her failure to communicate effectively. A simple statement such as, "I'm sorry, but only employees can handle any of the birds unless someone is very interested in adopting one," would have sufficed when I inquired about handling a conure. Her inability to communicate is not my responsibility--it's your employee's oversight and a failure to train your staff to engage with customers in a friendly and informative manner. Furthermore, she did not explicitly instruct me with the words, "Do not touch any other birds," despite your signage. If she claims she did, then I regret to say she is being disingenuous to protect herself, which is common behavior to avoid accountability. I have visited your establishment multiple times, and in the past, your employees had no issues with me handling your birds, regardless of what the signs stated. This inconsistency has led to my misunderstanding of your current policy. Your employee should have approached the situation in a much more welcoming and helpful manner. She didn't even bother to greet me when I arrived with my advocate, instead acting as if she detested her job and did not want to be there. About the sanitation station and the sink: I asked if there was anywhere I could sterilize my hands because birds are highly likely to carry salmonella. Your employee said you did not have anywhere for me to sterilize my hands, not even a mention of rubbing alcohol you pump from a dispenser, which is mind-boggling especially since you own a pet store. I'm sorry my wanting to prevent the risk of procuring the possibility of salmonella was such a problem and put you out so much that you dared to mention it. Your business and in the manner which you manage it and your staff are a joke.

The smaller birds have large open cages where safe to do so and the parakeets especially love being together. Theyve been great help in setting up our new planted aquarium. I highly recommend making the drive. It's a locally owned business also that's been around for about 50 years I think! We drive 45 min to get there. worth it!
