Ok, I'm from New Orleans, so I'm hard to impress with food. Having said that, my Reuben sandwich was pretty damn good. Maybe I went at an off time, it was about 2:00, but the service was horrible, as was the ambiance . I was sitting at the last booth, the farthest from the kitchen. I was all the way at the other end of the dining room, and the server was using her "outside" voice to talk with the kitchen the entire time. I could hear every word she said. She didn't shut up for like a half hour. I finally put my AirPods in to drown her out. When it was time for the check, she was way too busy talking to check on me. We came during Happy Hour and our sever was super friendly. However, once the food started coming out it was very apparent that's where the quality stopped. My sandwich was cold, including the fries and it lacked any strong flavors. The meat was very dry. It seemed thrown together and left out to sit for 10 minutes before I got it. I was staying in Monroeville and I was out getting gas. I put 'Primantis" in the phone and this location was 2 miles away. Lunchtime is here. I order a Yeungling tall and grab a seat at the bar. Only a few people in the place. Bartender Christina serves the beer and asks if I want a food menu. Sure...this time it's the kielbasa sandwich without the tomato. I have never been to this location but it still has the Pittsburgh artifacts of pictures, jerseys, other assorted Steeler/Pirate/Penguin items. After a bit I get my food and order another beer. Service is very good and order is accurate. Very tasty, cooked to perfection. I recommend this location as there is parking and it's bigger inside so you can bring your friends or lady. I was born and raised in the 'Burgh, so when I have to come back to the area, I ALWAYS get me a sammich. But I would honestly rather drive to the Strip or fly back down to the one in Fort Lauderdale (where I live now) to get one. This location was ... icky.. and not in a good dive bar kind of way. Honestly, I'd say save your money. The sandwiches here are ridiculous. Between the thick ass bread it's on, and the pile of fries on it. You're looking at your weeks quota of carbs. Fir me, these sandwiches were more novelty than anything. I think they are just too big, and I got the regular sized one. If you are big eater, you'll probably be ok, but there is no way I would ever need or want a sandwich that thick. I had the kielbasa sandwich, and I basically had to deconstruct it only to end up eating the kielbasa. The kielbasa was ok, but could have been cooked a little more to get a little char on it. I went with the sweet heat, the sauce that was recommended and was satisfied. I am not a huge fan of blue cheese but enjoyed of over the ranch. Both taste like they are made in house. I was not a fan of the pizza. It was bland and lacked in flavor. It some sort of combination of garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, oregano, and Italian seasoning on top. I'm glad I only order one slice. The drink was okay. I asked for salt on the top and there wasn't much salt to help cut the sweetness of the drink as I would have preferred. I've only lived in PA a couple of years and promised my Pittsburgh native friends I'd try Primanti Brothers most ordered sandwich the Pitts-Burger. To get the most authentic experience I ordered it without changing up anything. If you're not familiar, this classic sandwich includes two slices of Italian bread, grilled hamburger patty, melted provolone, vinegar-based coleslaw, sliced tomatoes, and, french fries. Sorry local folks I can only give this sandwich a 3 out of 5 rating. The Italian bread was good but too spongy for such a large loaded sandwich. I would have preferred it to be toasted, better yet grilled with butter and garlic. The fries were too soft for a sandwich. I didn't care for them as it was just short of having mashed potato on your sandwich. I would have liked to see a crispy seasoned fry on the sandwich instead. The beef patty was commercially compacted. Nothing special about it. Sorry Folks this particular sandwich was a miss for me. Now dessert was delicious! I had the Reese's Peanut Butter Pie. OMG loved every bite. This is a 5 star dessert. The restaurant has a sports bar atmosphere. Plenty of seating and TVs. I was there during a Penguin's game dinning amongst the fans. Even with a large number of people we were seated right away. The noise level wasn't bad. Heck you expect noise at a sports bar and grill. Our server was friendly and attentive. Had the same atmosphere as other bar/pub style restaurant in my opinion. Ordered a sandwich and it was good. I honestly wouldn't say that it was the best I've had, but it was good enough. It fell apart because it's so big. So ended up eating it in pieces. The flavor was just ok to me. Grabbed a very late takeout dinner here as we were driving into Pittsburgh for Memorial Day Weekend. They do curbside delivery although we got impatient after a couple minutes and just went inside to pick it up. At 11:30 pm on a Friday, there were only a couple people at the bar. We drove the our hotel 15 min away and had our food, so no doubt I think things would have tasted better when it was fresh. We ordered the crispy zucchini planks, a grilled chicken salad, and a New Yorker with an egg added. The zucchini planks were ok, probably would have tasted better fresh since it got a bit soggy, but I also thought it tasted too oily and greasy for me. the batter around the long zucchini slices could have been lighter in my opinion (maybe because I'm used to eating it tempura style). The grilled chicken salad consisted of iceberg lettuce with some corn, carrots, tomato, cucumber, and grilled chicken. The chicken was ok, a little overcooked. THe New Yorker sandwich looked pretty epic, but we were surprised there weren't that many fries in there. The meat was good. The bread slices were super thick, we had to take one off because it was too much. But overall, pretty good. We definitely want to try the original location to see if there is a difference in taste. read more

I'm pretty sure they sell stuff besides their sandwiches, but that's of no mind to me. Pastrami and cheese man here.
