When I made the appointment with them they told me that they wanted to do another Coronavirus test and I informed them that I had just had one the day before that came back negative. They insisted that I have another test and to drive in the back and someone could come out to swab my nasal cavity and do a rapid test.. In the back there was potholes, the place looked like the back of any crap hole that you might see anywhere, no signs, cones, no cameras etc. did not feel safe... actually thought I was in the wrong place so called and they said oh no, you're in the right place. Glad there were no car Jackers nearby. Anyway, the rapid test came back negative so they insisted that I take another test that they could send off for results, yeah another drive behind the business looking at dumpsters and homeless people, no offense. I told them that what if this is not what is wrong can you just see me and help me relieve my symptoms. I had to insist on a strep test which they finally agreed to. Even though the lady that swabbed me was very nice, as well as the one who took my nasal sample, she did not do an effective swab, when you swab for strep throat you swab the throat and the side, not run the swab back-and-forth over the top of the tongue which made me gag... and I did not have strep. The doctor did prescribe me two pills, but nobody came out to tell me what they were for, what the side effects were etc.... I just wanted to tell them I do not have a goddamn coronavirus! Unfortunately, they only came up with a pre-diagnosis which they thought was coronavirus and was not! But they would not let it go ...it's almost as if they wanted it to be that. I have an idea, since I passed the rapid test, why don't I just come in and get a real exam! I did pay for an office visit and never stepped foot in the damn place! I will not go there again, they might have some great reviews from people that felt better after they left there, but I felt like they were just trying to take my insurance companies money by offering test after test after test. What a disappointing visit! Not everybody that is sick has Covid!!!!!! It was literally like the McDonald's of urgent care, without the hot fries. UPDATE.... After I complained to the front office, the owner of the business contacted me and have me call one of the employees there named Dr. Romeo... Now HE was a pleasure to speak to... he acknowledged my concerns, and he listened to what I had to say. He was not belittling, or patronizing, he seem to take to heart what I have to say about my perception. I was having basic flu symptoms- nausea, dizziness, fever, aches, etc. I went in to get a prescription for THE FLU. While I did get in rather quickly, the positive stops there. Once the doctor came into the room she ordered a urine sample (?) and said that I would need a pelvic exam (???) while rudely pushing my husband out the door. She then told me that I needed to be STD tested and proceeded to take all kinds of blood samples. When I told her I was simply there to cure the flu, she shushed me and said that I had something much more serious. While giving the urine sample, I noticed a newly forming rash on my left leg and she told me to ignore that, it wasn't a concern. Lastly, she instructed me NOT to talk with my HUSBAND about the testing, because it would probably cause conflict in my marriage, and she wanted to be able to sleep at night. She sent me out of there with nothing. ....Fast forward to the next day~ rash has broken out all over, and I go to the ER. Sure enough, I was having something more serious than the flu- a severe allergic reaction. This quack should not be in practice! For those of you who go to these Doc-in-the-boxes on a regular basis due to low cost~ STOP! I found an awesome general physician with the same copay as the clinic. Insufficient seating for the million clients coming in and out but we waited in the car. 80's - 90's soft rock plays in the background. It's a clean environment where everyone wears masks. Which is great cause some were there for covid tests and others had preexisting conditions. REGISTRATION/COST Registration available online and via phone but I used paper and a pen. $40 copay with United insurance. SERVICE Slow. We were given a 1 hour wait but it was packed! Actual wait was about 1.5 hours but worth it. Nurse practitioner Tiffani was warm & personable. Dr. Marissa Shaw was compassionate and effective. It was a quick visit but Dr. Shaw gave good advice, treatment, follow up paperwork, referrals and a prescription. Honestly it felt more like a PCP visit than urgent care! Only negatives were the wait time and the fact that Walgreens had no record of the prescription. VERDICT I highly recommend Piedmont Urgent Care and particularly Tiffani and Dr. Shaw.

Home test still showed positive.) Doctor said she would send another round of the same medication. Day 2 - Discharge document sent (text) was NOT the correct document. Document was for my previous visit 2.5 weeks ago for UTI. Called the office 2 times; left messages saying that the wrong Discharge document was sent. NO return call from the office. Day 3 - Called the office to ask about the wrong prescription that was sent to Kroger. NO ANSWER. Had to drive to AFC Urgent Care to tell them about the wrong Discharge Papers and the wrong prescription. Finally, I received a copy of the correct Discharge document and Kroger was called to fill the correct prescription. The office did not seem concerned that I had been inconvenienced because of their errors.
