Dr Gabi is amazing. I went to him bc my prior dentist cracked my tooth while trying to put in a cavity, then put my crown on wrong. So I needed a root canal and new crown... Dr Gabi came highly recommended and him & I discussed my options. I finally opted to get rid of the tooth and put an implant in. He made the process seamless. I opted to finance my implant as my other dentist maxed out my insurance. The financing was easy. I have successfully had the implant for just a few days over 1 year and fully switched to dr. Dr. Gabi placed my implant and crown. After drilling, I remember his hands so violently shaking he actually had to pause the procedure - and now I know why! The crown had a gap between my gum making a nasty food trap. Dr. Gabi adjusted it, replaced it, then adjusted the replacement, all to fail to fix anything. MD Periodontics in Beverly Hills (second opinion) explained that Dr. Gabi had drilled in the implant wrong TWO ways by angling it slanted, in 2 different directions. In the attached CT one of these errors is obvious to anyone, something I'd asked Dr. Gabi about already to his immediate denial. I was searching for a professional, kind, understanding, and patient dentist. I was surprised to find that and more...Dr.Gabi impressed me by being the type of person I would want in my 'circle'...He explained everything to me and listened to me. Quick summary version is that when i needed Dr Gabi, he wasn't there for me. Had a dental emergency during the holiday season and so far have left messages with his answering service 4 days in a row with no return call from anyone. Very disappointed! Looking for a new dentist in my area I searched both Google and Yelp for options and discovered Dentalogics has by far the highest reviews. Made an appointment and came in for my initial consult with Dr. Gabi. Arrived at the office ads checked in with Cesar, his front office staff. Cesar was super nice and made a great introduction. Dentalogics has a very small waiting room which I saw as a positive indicator that they see patients quickly and it'd be likely during future visits that I wouldn't feel like just a number. Was welcomed back by a dental assistant who brought me back to a dental chair with a flatscreen TV attached facing a great view out the window onto the San Vicente area of Brentwood. A relaxing nature documentary was playing on the screen ages the staff were very professional and friendly. Again the room and back office area was extremely compact and smaller than I expected but everything moved smoothly and seemed like a positive. Dr Gabi introduced himself, was friendly and professional. He asked me a series of questions and directed his staff to take x-rays of my teeth. After this was complete Dr Gabi reviewed everything with me and believed a potential future problem could be avoided by being proactive about replacing a crown. I asked him for a cost estimate so I could think about it du during the busy holiday season and scheduled a followup appointment. My initial feeling was "if it's not broken, don't fix it" so during my next appointment I explained this and thanked him but declined the replacement. He convinced me through our conversation together that it'd be in my best interest and to trust him regarding both the procedure and to take advantage of my dental insurance to have this work done before it reset at the end of the calendar year. I was 'won over' but what I perceived as his high level of care for both my health as well as my finances so my mind was changed. I scheduled the two appointments that would be necessary for his staff to remove my original crown, take initial impressions to send out to the lab and insert a temporary crown. A week later (2 days before Christmas) at a family dinner my temporary crown broke into pieces while eating a gourmet hamburger and fries. These were not hard items however something came loose and the tooth fell out of my mouth in pieces. I immediately called the dental office for help and reached their after hours call service. They assured me they would call the after hours number and have someone call me back to help me with my dental emergency as I now have this gaping hole in my mouth, my crown in pieces and a number of family gatherings ahead of me for the Christmas holiday! Wake up next Sat age as I did not hear back all night, called again in the morning (10am) to see if the answering service could help me again. I ask them if they could tell me when the office opens again since I understand it is the holiday season. They reply that they do not know when they will reopen because they were not given a holiday schedule. Attorney their service covers calls at any time that Dentalogics phones are not answered which means even during a normal work day if they step out to lunch. The call center person is friendly but unable to give me any advice for what to do or how to care for this hole in my mouth from the broken crown. I have now called Dentalogics 3x/day for the past 3 days asking for help, advice for care or just to know when the office will reopen with no answer. The answering service have no answers for me and are not able to even tell me if they have been able to reach anyone. Sadly it is now Thursday the day after Christmas and both the office's own website, Yelp and Google sites state the office is open but I am still reaching the answering service. I am so disappointed. This is the only time I have ever experienced this feeling of needing help and being completely ignored. I visited a local emergency dentist to ask for their help with this broken crown and unfortunately they said that since it is a procedure being done elsewhere that they are not allowed to help me or it would open them up to liability if there are any issues relating to the replacement so they can't even put in another temporary crown or do anything to help me without Dr. Gabi's permission... I'm not sure how all of this is going to work out for me currently but I wanted to share this experience with others in hope that you don't also put your care in the hands of a practice that has no after hours or holiday coverage in place when you need it. The doctor was nice and personable but lied about the cost of my first appointment. I went there to have an estimate, free of charge, and only agree to one x-ray. He went ahead and charged the insurance company for some procedures I never had. And they did not even call me back right away after doing the estimate to arrange an appointment. I also canceled my last appointment 2 days before because he wanted to put a crown where it was NOT necessary and another dentist said a filling would have been enough. I really don't know where to start talking about Dr. Gabi! He was amazing. I went to go see him a few months ago searching for the right dentist to do full mouth dental implants. I went at least 20 different free consultations. All of them took trays but never showed them to me. Dr. Gabi was the only one that showed me exactly what was wrong with my teeth and why I needed full mouth dental implants. I decided to go with him and it was the best decision I have ever made. His staff are the best I have ever experienced. The staff are friendly and caring. I finally got the procedure done yesterday, and I can not believe what he has done to my smile. I was walking around lately with my face pointed to the ground just so embarrassed to smile, which is something I love to do. I couldn't even look people in the eye, afraid to show them my ugly smile. This morning, I woke up with a smile again. I can't wait to go out and show everyone my smile. Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy, Dr. Gabi is a rogue dentist, he does whatever he wants and completely ignores the clients needs. While he was working on replacing old crowns and fitting the temps etc...I had a terrible allergic reaction to lidocaine and adrenaline and he continued using it (3X). Even given the first terrible reaction, Dr. Gabi didn't think maybe we should try a different method... the arrogance in this is an understatement. If you're going for a simple cleaning then maybe go here- maybe. For more detailed work, that requires patience and knowledge seek elsewhere. Save yourself the headache, pain, being insulted, and trauma. To say that I've been mentally and physically distressed by this place, we'll that's putting it kindly. I had a lot of work done here, X # of crowns, and one implant-- after having my crowns fitted 3X again and an excess of local anesthetic used, with 1month period...I was convinced I did not want to get the final work done with them. It was such a traumatic and stressful experience. So I requested a refund prior to getting the final crowns, and (1) implant done. They refused, and aside from refusing my request for a refund, Dr. Gabi decided to insult my previous work saying, "it's a botched job"- way to kick a client when they're down... already in pain, completely paralyzed by the traumatic experience I had at Dentalogics, but thank you for that as well. My confidence in his ability to separate personal and professional manners was shot. Given, the fact that sure, maybe the work was botched, it was an emergency fix by a dentist that wasn't great because Dentalogics couldn't see me quickly enough and my teeth were jeopardizing my health. Anyhow, I digress-- so, I unwillingly went in to get the final permanents in, and be over with and be done with this place. After getting a second opinion after the final work was completed because my teeth are still causing me so much pain, and sensitivity to even a fresh breeze (not an issue I dealt with prior). Turns out, the PERMANENT crowns weren't even placed properly- see image. Goes without saying I would rate this place zero stars if I could. I'll be pursing a refund on the botched work Dr. Gabi did as my crowns aren't done right, the prep work is terrible and 2 crowns will need to be completely redone. Dr. Cibel ended up placing the final crowns and had a difficult time doing so, turns out she placed them wrong. She's kind but may be this is not her specialty. One crown was not placed on the tooth causing me so much pain now nearly a month since the permanents were placed. Not to mention the work of the implant crown, (which isn't the right size, food gets caught too often) and it's aesthetically off and sharp. The implant crown and other crowns weren't polished properly. Anyway, I'm still in pain, but I'm writing this in hopes of helping someone avoid the same experience I had at Dentalogics. I did a lot of research looking for a dentist in my area, and the reviews for Dr. Gabi were positive. When I read through his personal statement on his website, it made me believe that he would be an empathetic, patient, and caring dentist. Given my health insurance doesn't have dental coverage and I that I would have to pay out of pocket, this was very important to me. Looking back, I was completely naïve. Through my consultation, Dr. Gabi convinced me to start Invisalign treatment, change my implant, and have a veneer. His recommendations turned into a sales pitch which required me to pay for half of my treatment upfront before I left and allowed for the rest of the balance to be paid in subsequent payments. Before leaving that day, I booked my next visit to start my treatment plan. My initial appointment went well and was easy to book. The remaining visits were excruciatingly difficult to make. For example, every time I called the office, the calls would go to a third-party vendor that had no authority to book appointments. I'd have to call multiple times to get in contact with his direct staff. Within the third visit and multiple unreturned phone calls, I was uneasy about going to see Dr. Gabi and had a gut feeling that something was not right in his approach. I went to a different practice to have a second opinion about my teeth, and their plan of care was a direct conflict with that of Dr. Gabi's. This prompted me to call Dr. Gabi to schedule a time to discuss the varying opinions about my plan of care. After repeated attempts, I was finally directed to email him with my concerns. I sent the following email to Dr. Gabi on Jan '20: After careful consideration and reflection of my dental care, I believe it is best to stop my treatment at this time with Dentalogics. The reason I have come to this conclusion is based on what was disclosed to me at the dentist office. I have moderate bone loss that requires gum treatment. The recommended course of action is that I stop my treatment for cosmetic dentistry until I complete the gum treatment. I am hesitant to continue our plan with the Invisalign, crown, and veneer, especially after finding out about the bone loss I have. Since you didn't diagnose the bone loss issue or warn me about the consequences of bone loss with having a veneer/crown, I am even more hesitant to continue the cosmetic dentistry process with you. Given these circumstances, I am requesting a refund of $XXXX. I hope you understand why I have come to this decision and respect my request. --end-- Dr. Gabi called me immediately and stated that he would not be able to refund the money because he had already ordered the veneer and crown. As he spoke, he reverted back to his caring approach that I only experienced in my first visit and was able to convince me over the phone that the second opinion was a complete misdiagnosis and to continue treatment and payments with him. His response made me skeptical because we had yet to discuss crowns or match the shade of my crowns to my other teeth. How could he have properly ordered my crown and veneer if he had not taken these steps? I trusted him. I shouldn't have. Finally, when I was on my last tray of Invisalign, he THEN sent me to a specialist in Burbank for the crown ordering process in March '20. I then realized Dr. Gabi had not started the process for my crowns in Jan '20 when he claimed and could not refund my money because he had already ordered the crowns. Upon this revelation of his tactics to keep me as a patient, I was finally able to reach him again to discuss me exiting his practice as a patient. He simply said, "I am sorry I can't give you your money back." I should've contacted the State of California's Department of Consumer Affairs, but I didn't. Instead, I continued to make uncomfortable visits to Dr. Gabi. When it came time to install the veneer on one of my teeth, Dr. Gabi installed it within 5 min. He did not talk me through what he was going to do but instead told me that instead of a veneer, I was going to get a crown. He also installed a new implant during that visit. It wasn't a temporary, it was the REAL crown that was in my mouth, that he put on with trace amounts of glue. Within two days, the crown fell off. I called Dr. Gabi's office multiple times, and I even texted him. He told me not to worry about it, and so I had a bare abutment in my mouth for almost a week until I was able to see him. After I finally finished the treatment, I am not happy with the way my Invisalign, veneer (crown), and implant. My rationale throughout the process was even if his service wasn't the best, I thought the final product would at least make me happy when completed. I share all this because if it saves one person from my experience, it's time well spent on writing this review. I wish I had walked away, even after paying all the money upfront. There are plenty of compassionate dentists in LA and Dr. Gabi isn't one of them. read more

What a great experience! I never thought I would say that on a dental treatment. Went for a teeth cleaning and a regular check on my teeth after a year of neglecting this department and thank god for Dr. Tzur! He was super patient and informative, gave me tips on how to protect my teeth on a daily basis, his clinic is clean and pleasant to be in, with all new top of the line equipment. After getting my teeth cleaned, turned out I had 5 cavities :/ We set up a schedule that works best for me and I got the best treatment I could ask for - getting it done was the easiest process thanks to Dr. Tzur and his fantastic staff. I really wanted to like Dr. Gabi and initially had a great impression. However that all changed when he managed to perform 7 fillings in under one hour. Frankly I was shocked at how fast he worked, and later understood I was mislead about the severity of the dental work that needed to be done. The teeth were marked as high priority with multiple surfaces but in reality he merely treated recession on 4 of them. 2 others were chips that I had not wanted filled in the first place. Within 24 hours 1 of the fillings fell out, and the next day another filling fell out. Finally a few weeks later, the chipped filling he repaired fell out, and I noticed he had not even bothered to attempt to repair the recession on that molar even though he billed insurance for the treatment. If you do seek treatment from Dr. Gabi, just make sure it is crystal clear what is wrong with your teeth, and what work he will be performing.
