Even the drinks were served in chilled glasses. We stopped by for our Anniversary dinner. This place was neat and clean and very elegant. Once we were seated Jay or server came over to bring us bread and get our drink orders. Our drinks were out fast, then Jay took our food order. I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail for Appetizer to share. For our main course I got the 12oz Ny Strip med well with a Lobster Tail on top and the wife got the 6oz Filet Mignon med well with a Lobster Tail on top. For our sides we got the Baked Potato and Honey Buttered Baby Carrots. Now for the review starting with the Bread, it was warm, fresh and very good. The Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail was spectacular in size and served chilled. Our Lobster was done perfect and served with hot butter. The Steaks were done to perfection very good and tasty. The Baked Potato was served with Sour Cream Butter on the side. The Carrots were al dente and so tasty. All our food was hot and so flavorful. Jay, our server was right on point with service. Excellent experience! Our server, Happy was great. We ordered a nice wine and actually had it served in lovely stemware! It seems like this is a rare thing these days, so we were pleasantly surprised. The wagyu filet was the best we have had and we have enjoyed many! This review is for our meal a few months ago: We went here for our very first real date night since having our daughter. By real date night, I mean it was just my husband and I! Our daughter is 4 years old so yes, it's been a long time. Anyway, as former New Yorkers who used to love going to steak houses, we were excited to try Prime 239. It did not disappoint as far as Cape Coral! What a gem. Appetizers and drinks were delish. Steak was cooked perfectly, we got medium rare per usual.Only thing was they do not offer porter house for 2 which we always get so that was disappointing . Portions were huge. 239 is a very enjoyable restaurant. I decided to make a reservation this time because the night before when I went to the steakhouse, it was packed. As I drove into the parking lot, the lot was completely full. After about ten minutes I was able to park. I still arrived 15 minutes early and they immediately got me in. This was a surprise! The friendly waitress immediately took my drink and appetizer order. After about 30 minutes or so, she took my food order. I did have to wait almost 45 minutes for my food order since it was busy. Decided to do an early Father's Day dinner since we are busy on Father's Day. We picked Prime 239 since hubby liked it from his visit about two months after they opened. Glad to see they are doing well. As always, hubby ordered a martini to start. When it came, I noticed no ice chips! Perfecto! The martini was made well! We really wanted to try the grilled artichoke but decided not to as we weren't sure it was done the way we liked. We opted for pork belly and beef tartare. Pork belly looked good, jt had the right color tone, however, even though I like salty food, this pork belly was a bit too salty for me. Alto, this was perhaps the most lean pork belly I ever had! It needed a little bit more fat! Beef tartare was good, just wished there was a couple more bread pieces, or less holes, so we could actually used the all tartare with bread. Really wishthere was a raw quail egg on beef tartare but most restaurants seem opted out of raw egg nowadays. Sad! For our entree I opted for lamb chop and hubby ordered the New York Strip with Foie gras on top! Both were a little over cooked. The Foie Gras though, it was a "wow" surprise, it was the seared foie gras we love so much but hard to find in many place! Wish they would put seared Foie Gras as appetizer on the menu, I would come back just for that! Service was attentive. Recently I patronized Prime 239 Steakhouse. I've harbored a desire to dine at 239 for some time now. I invited a friend to accompany me to satisfy my desire and share an evening of fine dining. I ordered a Steak , my friend ordered Salmon. My steak was delicious ! My friend responded with a ditto for the Salmon. I had a spicy "jalapeño corn" side dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. The ambiance was what I expected , nice , very nice. There was a lounging area near the bar to sit , relax and enjoy an after dinner adult beverage. The service was very courteous and attentive. There was only one minor complaint. I ordered a glass of water without ice. I took one drink and thought it was , excuse my French , toilet water. Uugghhh. Horrible. I then ordered a ginger ale. Sadly , the ginger ale was mixed with the same flavor of ... toilet water. Again , excuse my French. I would venture a return visit due to the ambiance and quality of cuisine. However , I will order bottled water on my next visit. If management stumbles across my review , please , please , address the issue of water quality. Better water quality would make my return visit so much more enjoyable. Due to the enjoyable ambience and terrific food I render 4 Stars. I subtracted one Star due to the water quality. Let me start by saying we have dined here many times and the food and service are always amazing. Unfortunately our last visit did not go as well. The lobster was mush and had to be replaced. On a Friday night we met some friends for dinner 239 Prime was the choice for the night. We started with cocktails, the ladies ordered a decent Pinot and us guys had two different cocktails. I had a Vodka Martini dirty with blue cheese olives. Tasty but I prefer my martini is a traditional martini glass versus French Martini glass. We ordered two appetizers, Buffalo burrata cheese and artichokes. Both were decent in taste and in presentation. For the main course we had a couple of steaks and I went with the salmon. The Mrs ordered a filet medium rare and it was closer to medium. The other steak was a bone in ribeye and it was ordered medium and came out medium. I had the salmon and it was cooked very nicely at medium temp. The fish was good but the fennel and a liquid type of broth really didn't work for me. But the fish itself was ready good. Table sides were garlic spinach and jalapeño creamed corn. Spinach was the star of the sides based on the tables input. Service was good but lacked a bit for a $$$$ restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and the waiter was attentive enough. The food was good although I with there was a sauce that came with the steak with out an up charge of $6. The steak was cooked great though. The sides are family style, enough for two for sure. The mashed potatoes could have been smoother, I don't mind chunks of potatoes I just was expecting otherwise. Walking on the door we were greeted with a friendly welcoming hello. It was early so sitting at the bar was our preference. The bartender, Lea Lea was a perfect representative of the establishment. This is a very pleasant restaurant to eat dinner and they really do have aged prime beef. The menu is a lot more interesting than most steakhouses because the appetizer list has some items that you could combine and make a late supper. If you didn't wish a full meal they have a great Bolognese Pappardelle ;they have Australian lamb chops, and the drink list is very broad. It was my birthday so they actually gave me a birthday card awarding a dessert. A special surf and turf for 40 bucks. It was too good to pass up. There was a cold water, lobster tail and a 6 ounce prime sirloin steak very thick perfectly cooked. The lobster tail was desperately overdone and tough . The steak had a lovely char, but if you're sensitive to too much salt. Tell the chef to hold back a bit. Both of us did not enjoy our bar drinks very much. I had a bourbon club soda, and the soda was flat, which is always a disappointment But par for the course at most bars that don't use bottled club soda. I then ordered a bottle of sparkling water, thinking I could fix the problem, but even the bottle of sparkling water was a bit flat .so there are a lot of good points about this restaurant and if you order carefully, it would be a very enjoyable evening. Another birthday trip with my youngest daughter. Happy 13th! Did my research and came up with this place. Had the porterhouse, she had the ribeye, awesome. Perfectly cooked and very flavorful. We shared the broccolini and creamed corn and Alaskan King Crab Legs. Broccolini was great and the corn was best I ever had. It had jalapeño and cilantro in it. Legs were good but they didn't provide the appropriate tools to crack the shells so it took some work and time. For dessert we both had the apple crisp. That too was great. Emily was a sever and she was great. Gave some great advice on the local scene as we were out of towners. My husband and I were here for his birthday a few weeks ago. We enjoyed our experience thoroughly. They gave him a birthday card upon arrival and our apple crumble was free. They put a sparkler on it as well and sang happy birthday. Our server was nice and clearly enjoys his job. My husband really enjoyed his steak. He goes to Bern's every year in Tampa and he liked this steak more than Bern's. He said it was properly seasoned. My salmon was ok. I know ordering fish at a steakhouse is silly but I don't eat beef at all. We went for my husband and he was very satisfied. Highly recommend.
