The JWB Grill is located on the property of Margaritaville at Fort Myers Beach. This restaurant is on the beach side of the property right next to the pool area on the second floor. It has a beautiful view of the beach from every seat inside the restaurant. We went there for breakfast and ordered the fruit platter and lemon ricotta pancakes with coffee. What a wonderful dining experience, made perfect with an exceptional server, Brandon! We were able to put together an excellent vegetarian meal, all delicious but very small portions for the prices. The beautiful sunset view was extra special as well! Very deceiving from the hotel's exterior scene, and surprisingly lovely inside! I had a pretty interesting situation here. I went for dinner my first night in town, 10/10 my server was amazing I wish I remembered her name she should get a raise. She also told me about the wine special for Thursday. I had the fresh catch I loved the food service and ambiance so much I made reservations for Thursday. Thursday comes and I go to the hostess to be seated. She says I'm not on the list. Keep in mind I had to pay 300$ just to book the reservations. She finally finds me in the computer, but I guess they had made a paper list for seating and they didn't add me the host then said to stand to the side and wait for a manager while she sat everyone. Manager came, not very timely we're still not sure what's going on at this point. He then came and dropped the news that we won't be able to do the wine night. Rightfully me and my bf were extremely irritated, as this was our last night in town. Although there was that major let down, the manager informed us that we could still have a regular dinner and he would cover the entire tab, which he did. We were rightfully in bad moods after all that but the manager was able to turn it around for us which not many people can do which is a great skill in the service industry! Stuff happens. read more

The highlight of the night were the hostesses at the front but that's it. The restaurant is beautiful and lively. I was excited to try this place based on the Google reviews. I'm baffled because the food nor the experience were not great. My waitress was inattentive. She came by took my order but there wasn't any other interaction than that. She didn't bring me silverware or a steak knife. I had to ask other servers. She asked how the meatballs were but didn't check if my steak was properly cooked. I started with the Waygu meatballs which tasted like Costco meatballs with a bland sauce. I've had better meatballs at baby showers. The steak was ok, cooked medium rare but nothing spectacular. It came out quickly but it wasn't warm. I would have mentioned it but my waitress was nowhere to be found. The Au Gratin side was ok. Definitely not how it is usually prepared but I guess they wanted to revamp it. I'm disappointed. I should have gone to a real steakhouse so that is my fault, but it is essentially overpriced bar food with a twist. read more

We enjoyed a little staycation at Margaritaville for my mom's birthday and naturally had to go to the JWB Grill for her birthday dinner! The entire experience from start to finish was absolutely stellar. Our server Tina was so knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our crazy questions and helped us decide on cocktails, wine and food for the entire meal. Everything that we ordered was so beautifully presented and you could really tell that they put a lot of time and love into everything that they put out. Just as the sun was setting Chef Jean came out to introduce himself and say happy birthday to my mom which was so special and the perfect way to end a wonderful dinner. It was sorta busy when we went in. There were no tables in the dining room available, so, they found us a spot by the bar in this lounge-ie area. I was impressed with their drink selection (cocktails); but, they didn't have all the ingredients for the one I wanted to order. Our server was very polite and friendly. The salmon was nicely cooked, but the black bean (as in Chinese/Asian black bean if I am not mistaken) sauce the bok choy came with was too salty. My pictures of the Ribeye steak will not look very appetizing (just very bad pics), but, I must say that it was super tender, VERY flavorful and cooked to perfection (medium rare, yum!) Margaritaville definitely did themselves a service by adding this wonderful spot to their new FMB resort! Aesthetically, the spot is right over the water with 5-star views and a kitchen counter where you can see each meals final touches prepared right in front of you (my favorite!). There's a unique menu with tons to choose from, there's bound to be some sort of fan favorite for everyone. Our dishes were DELISH, and the cocktails lived up to and beyond expectation. Our server was candid, timely and wonderful in assisting us with our choices. All-in-all, a lovely experience resulting in many clean plates across the table. We came here for an early Thanksgiving dinner and had to walk out. The service was great but it took about 10 minutes to get seated, and 15 to get drinks. We got a ribeye, filet, and grouper for dinner. The filet and ribeye were cold and had no seasoning. We sent our meals back letting our server know it was cold and proceeded to wait another 30+ minutes until finally we let our server know we would be leaving. Soft opening only a week ago and these guys are coasting along like Pros! Our first visit go the Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach and it was a winner! Free valet parking (with receipt from one of the restaurants for more than $25) ..easy to accomplish at this, their premier restaurant on the property. Spotless but stylish beyond normal FMB standards-I wish we'd been here before sunset (location is right AT the beach!!) Our server Angela was attentive but not overbearing. Draft beer still in the works so bottles all around. Our two cheeseburgers and one shrimp with Thai type sauce were all served beautifully. Then we dug in-my wife said it was one of the best burgers she ever had! Mine with sautéed onions was Exceptional! Juicy, flavorful with excellent "shoestring" potatoes to go along. Our daughter was absolutely smitten with her shrimp fish! Huge tender shrimp-bravo for not overcooking the shrimp! The restaurant manager Hafid came by and gave us a rundown on the opening week and what's in the works in the future. Our good was Outstanding! The place is beautiful in Margaritaville on Fort Myers beach, there were many amenities but, you can see that they're still trying get up to speed. Staff were attentive and the food was good but as I stated they're still getting everything together. They didn't have a coffee machine so there was no coffee. My biggest pet peeve would be that they wrote on the check there was no gratuity added but when you look closely there was a 20% tip added. The bill you sign just says the amount and tip, not additional tip so someone who was drinking heavily or not paying attention could add another 20% which to me seemed a bit deceptive. We asked to speak to the manager who greeted us at the table while we were sitting there, and when we asked them why the tip was added, he said because we were a party of six. However, there were no signs posted and as a former server myself, it's usually parties of eight and more nevertheless, I usually tip more than 20%, but I just didn't like the way it went down. I would definitely recommend eating at this place because it's a very beautiful hotel, the food is good, and the staff are trying the best they can, but they need to do something about that tipping policy of theirs. By the way, that bill was only for the alcohol that I agreed to pay for, my friend paid for dinner for everyone so we spent well over $400. read more

As Ft Myers Beach residents, we were excited to visit the new Margaritaville Resort that recently opened. The resort is very cool and has an awesome vibe. It is a great addition to our beach and shines like a beacon as just the beginning of our revitalization after being totally destroyed by Hurricane Ian a little over a year ago. While staying at the Margaritaville Beach Resort at Ft Myers Beach, we tried the JWB Grill for dinner. We were so impressed the first night, we went there the next several nights! BTW, this restaurant is open to the public so you don't have to be staying at the resort. A reservation is recommended. The menu has a nice selection of entrees, and nightly specials were also offered. All the items we tried were amazing! Now, what really made the experience stellar was the service. Everyone who worked there seems happy to have you there and all work together to make your experience a great one. Our first night, we had Brandon as our server. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and took fantastic care of us. We loved our experience so much, we requested him again for the next night, but we were not able to get into his section. Fortunately for us, we got Tony as our server the next two nights. Tony is such a delight!!! He took excellent care of us and kept us entertained throughout dinner. He made excellent menu recommendations, along with the best wine pairing, and his service was superb! Hands down, the best dining experience we have had in a long time! We met Ruben, the General Manager, and let him know how happy we were. It's so nice to meet a manager that will take the time to meet and talk with customers, even when they are so busy. Highly recommend trying this restaurant! But make sure to bring a sweater as they do keep it chilly inside. read more
