I love coming here, it's so cute and love the views of the marina. Last night I walked in and they were doing music bingo which was fun, I joined later and didn't win but they do give out some prizes so makes it exciting. I wanted to try the sizzle menu before it went away so I stopped in and enjoyed a delicious meal. I started off with the Brussels sprouts. I'm still kinda new to liking them but the sauce and nuts on them too were really tasty! For my entee I had the hot sausage rigatoni and it was so good, I ate every bite! And for dessert I tried crème brûlée for the first time ever. Boy have k been missing out. I could have licked that plate clean haha. I also tried the she's a fairy which is an espresso martini but with ube and it was so good. They layer the top with this foam which is kinda marshmellowy and so good. I say at the bar and the service was great, the other staff members were very helpful too always taking my plates and even helped box up some leftover for me! It was hot outside so we sat inside this time. There were six in our party and we had the pleasure of having Delaney as our guide through this brunch journey. She mas wonderful recommendations based on our wants, individual allergies, and dislikes. Despite a packed house, Delaney was the most attentive server. She checked in regularly and made sure everything that came out was to our liking. The cornbread nuggets with the bacon and onion chutney were amazing and I ate the entire plate. We just got back from dinner at Gather. What a wonderful meal! My husband and I started with the Spicy Shrimp, it was delicious, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, it came with 6 shrimp and 2 triangles of grilled fresh bread to dip into the sauce, we got a couple of extra pieces to sop up the sauce. For those who are concerned it was not spicy, it was more on the mild side, my husband cannot do spicy, and he loved dipping into the sauce. For our main meal he got the grouper with the beurre blanc sauce, the grouper was very well seasoned and cooked, but that sauce completed the dish. I got the Rigatoni and in my opinion it was the winner! Talk about comfort food, you could tell the noodles were fresh made, the sausage again was not spicy, just on the mild side, the sauce, absolutely wonderful. My husband was cleaning the sauce from my bowl with pieces of the grilled bread which we had extra. We will be back in the area in a couple of weeks and are already planning on coming back. Just over all, Meh. Our server was nice but she appeared overwhelmed. The drinks took so long to get. The octopus appetizer was just OK, the Brussel sprouts were probable the best thing we had but they did need salt. All of the entrees were nothing special at all. The shrimp pasta was flavorless and the noodles overcooked. The Halibut was average. It took entirely too long for our drinks and food. Sitting outside was pleasant and we met some fun people who also agreed that there was nothing special about the food or experience. For the price we paid, I was disappointed. 15 February 2024 Cape Coral , Florida Decided to try a new dinning establishment in the Cape and went to "NEXT DOOR" at the southern tip of the Cape Coral , an area called Cape Harbour ... Once inside , the Maitre D' informed us that without reservations we can not be seated. Harrumph !? We left ... and went next door to "Gather" restaurant. Gather appeared to be much more welcoming and quickly invited us in and seated us at a table. Scanning the menu I decided to try the spicy shrimp & sausages. Service was quick and efficient. My bowl of shrimp and sausages was covered in a spicy sauce with two slices of toasted bread. The dish was as advertised ... SPICY ! I love spicy foods and enjoyed every bite. My companion ordered the Grouper. As the Grouper was served I quickly helped myself by reaching over to steal a bite. Bad manners , I know , but it was worth it because the Grouper was delicious. I will definitely order the Grouper at a future visit. I give Gather 5 Stars. Ambiance, service , efficiency, quality of food and the savory taste of the food. Oh , and presentation was on point. Oh , and the name Gather implies a gathering place. Well the restaurant includes sofas and lounging areas and a Bar where people can gather , sip some wine or enjoy a cocktail before or after dinner. There is also outside dinning with stunning Sunset views. Yeah , I'll be back. This was my first visit to Gather but won't be my last. Went for 7 pm reservation, finally got food 8:45 pm. Server seemed uninterested in us. Took drink orders after 20m in wait. Took another 20 to get drinks. Food took over an hour to be delivered. He did not check on us, we had to flag people down to get him back (could have sold us more drinks:)). After 2 hours and 45 min walked in to find someone to take our money. He was sitting at a table laughing it up with other people. I understand busy times and being overwhelmed but restaurant was not that busy. I would have appreciated any communication from him, but only came to table 2.5 times after asking for him. Another gentleman said service was horrible for him as well and wanted something to be compted but they declined. Very disappointed. read more

We hosted our third & final wedding celebration with our closest SWFL friends at Gather last weekend. It was a FANTASTIC time. Apologies to all of the other diners as I know our group was having way too much fun singing along with the live musician, but he was playing all the crowd favorites and knew it. The service was top notch and our table location (a large high top near the bar) was perfect for our group. We had a blast. We ordered one of every appetizer and two of every dessert. The Spicy AF margarita (true to its name) was to die for and the espresso martini!?! OMG - heavenly. I had to pace myself because it was way to easy to drink. Some of our favorite appetizers... SPICY SHRIMP Chorizo/ Cilantro/ Lime/ Seared Bread Really flavorful and perfectly cooked shrimp - good portion size! Chorizo paired nicely and added depth to the dish! AHI TUNA TATAKI Edamame/ Seaweed Salad/ Mango/ Ponzu/ Avocado/ Wasabi Aioli FRESH AF. Straight from the sea and the ponzu was savory goodness. CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS Roasted Cashews/Sriracha Miso Glaze This was everyone's hands down favorite and 80% of the group is carnivores so that was unexpected. Flavor was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Went for dinner last night at the bar and it was fantastic! Really beautiful decor inside, relaxing and modern. Bartender was friendly and d helpful. Everything is made from scratch and you can tell. The food quality is outstanding. The chefs are creative and I liked so many things on the menu which is rare. Wednesday was 1/2 price wine night so that was a great bonus! So let me tell you the reason why this place is a 3. We started off in an extremely noisy room with horrible acoustics. They did move us into the other room to a high top table, it was much better, however the pierogis were rubbery, and both of my friends Halibuts were terrible. One just tasted too fishy & the other tasted like a fried chicken finger! Even her crème brûlée for dessert was burnt! On the other hand, my halibut was absolutely delicious! My other friends chicken was cooked to perfection...Plus the drinks were very tasty! The waiter took off one of the halibuts, rightfully so, but the owner came out to his reserved family table, next to us, & didn't say a word. You can't just have good food, good service, & a nice looking place, you need to have owners/managers that are polite & respectful of their patrons. So when someone asks me, do you recommend Gather? Gather is a waterfront restaurant located in the marina village at Tarpon Point Marina. They have a small outside dining footprint and a larger inside dining room. We were a party of four Saturday evening. The indoor ambiance is casually minimalist with some stand-out lighting fixtures and original art available for sale on the walls. The space is suitable for celebrations and groups with the caveat that the noise level is loud and dinner conversation requires effort to be heard. This was our first visit and the table-wide consensus was the starters were the stars of the meal. Both the Wagyu Empanadas and Spicy Shrimp were exceptional. There were very serious discussions about dining on starters for the entirety of future meals. They were memorable in all the best ways. Entrees ordered included a couple Gather Rigatonis, Grouper and Seafood Paella. All were good and perfectly acceptable. Gather used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Cape; sadly last night we had the worst experience, I ordered a Sangria cocktail and it looked like a 5oz pouring of wine; then I order a beer they forgot about it; the service was very slow. I had the agnolotti pasta and not only took forever it was dry, burnt and tasted like frozen box food, my husband had a paella that was more like risotto; not color not flavor. After a very expensive dinner the question is how can your favorite pasta become the worst pasta you ever had. Sat here on a not so busy day. Sat outside with family. Beautiful view. Food was delicious I ordered the ayce pasta not sure what it was called. Kind of sucks that you order first dish how you like (protein) but second dish you have to pay for protein and so forth so basically it's not really an ayce haha because you're paying for protein which is $12-20 something on top of the regular price and if you don't get protein it'd just pasta and sauce... The fact that this place wasn't more packed is actually a huge crime. The service was great, our waiter was super friendly, and the food was phenomenal. It's a scratch kitchen with a fancy vibe, but it wasn't pretentious at all. The food was just really good quality, and sourced locally (the waiter told us that their produce comes from a farm in Bonita Springs). Everything tasted super fresh. The charcuterie was phenomenal. Four different kinds of meat and five different kinds of cheese. All of the meat was pork, but none of it had the gamey-ness that charcuterie pork can sometimes have. The cheese was just fantastic. That triple crème brie was insane, as was the hard sheep cheese, which was kind of similar to a manchego. The empanadas were perfect little bites, fried perfectly, served super warm, and the chipotle aïoli wasn't too spicy, but perfectly complemented the meat. The drinks were also amazing, as was the octopus which was kind of served in like a hash situation that was almost like breakfast-y in a really good way! The potatoes were like patatas bravas, and the sauce was perfectly spicy. Not to mention the interior was beautiful, with a really cool, relaxed, kind of vibe that would be perfect for a date night or a night out with friends. Our cocktails were great, but honestly, the entire cocktail menu sounded amazing. Overall, we had such an amazing experience and will definitely be becoming here again! Was very excited when I saw the menu but very disappointed with execution. Ordered the pork belly sticky bun and pork belly Ramen. Pork belly, steam bun was very basic pork was good. For the steam bun was good. The sauce they served on the side was very good, but it was that and plain cabbage on the plate. The Ramen had Ramen noodles, couple of mushrooms, very few pieces of cabbage and three pieces of pork. I'm sure that the idea was that the red sauce they were served with would add that flavor but it didn't. I ordered the beef short ribs. I was excited because it came with Mac and cheese. However, once I tried it, it again lacked any type of flavor at all. No salt. The cheese sauce was very sparse... too dry. The beef texture was good! However. Again. No flavor. No salt. No acid. It tasted like straight beef. My significant other ordered the octopus. He enjoyed it. He said the texture was perfect. However, he said it also lacked any type of seasoning. Overall, I'd say for the grand total of over $150 I am disappointed and won't be rushing back for dinner.
