After doing some research on the various companies out there I decided to go with SD BBQ Cleaners plus it didn't hurt they had a promotion going on for $50 off so took advantage of it. Scheduled the appointment online, which was very easy to do, and received a call from the company a week before our appointment letting us know they had a cancellation and if we wanted, they could come out that day. Fortunately, we were available. Hugo arrived promptly and took a look at the grill. Set up a large cloth/tarp on the back patio and moved the BBQ on top of it. I appreciated that extra step because who knows what could have gotten on the patio during the cleaning. He was very through in his cleaning, inside and out of the grill. Grill looks close to brand new again and we were very pleased with the services offered by SD BBQ Cleaners and services rendered by Hugo. The man knows what he's doing. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to get their grill cleaned up.

In the phone conversation to schedule cleaning, Brandon quoted me $500. I expressed dismay at the amount of increase since my last cleaning and he explained how prices have gone up. I replied that I understood how wages and parts have an impact on the price he charges. We proceeded to schedule cleaning. After service on 5/17, I received an invoice indicating that the charge for cleaning was $550. I e-mailed Brandon, seeking an explanation for the $50 discrepancy. He responded that he had quoted me $550, not $500. I told him that I distinctly remember the quote being $500. He rejected that and tried to justify his response by telling me has a "piece of paper" that he created on the day of scheduling that indicates a $550 quote. When I told him I would only pay $500, he threatened that he would place a lien on my property (for $50!!!!!). I paid the $500 and suggested that, in the future, he may want to confirm the quoted price in writing with the customer before service. He responded that charging the customer before the service would not be appropriate. He obviously misunderstood my simple suggestion and proceeded to send me a copy of the "piece of paper" that confirms nothing.

I regret hiring this company. I spent well over $1,000.00 on repair of my grill including a new LED…read morelight harness, switches, burners, etc. Everything they recommended and told me I needed. About a year after install of the parts from pro grill, the LED lights begin to fail and then stop working completely after a year and a half. I used the grill less than 5 times since their work so noticing wasn't highest on my agenda. When I realized the lights were completely out, it was a year and a half time from date of repair. I reach out to pro grill for help. The first person (didn't get his name) wanted and tried to help and said they'd be getting back to me. No one ever did. I had to reach out 3 different times over the span of a month. They'd respond after a week or so to each email or voicemail left. I felt back burnered, no pun intended. If it's not a new sale, they don't care. It's as simple as that, that's how I feel. They finally emailed me back saying it would cost around $200 for them to come look at my grill and then give me a price on what's wrong and what it will cost to fix. My blood boiled reading that. After spending this kind of money with them on a bbq repair and they don't have the decency to come look and see what failed in their install? LED lights are meant to last a VERY long time. Not a year or year and a half and only using them less than a handful of times. I called them immediately after receiving that email and talked with someone that said, my issue is above his pay grade and told me he'll let the manager know. I asked when I can expect that call and he didn't know. The manager calls me shortly after the call. We speak about the issue, and how I feel. He tells me they don't warranty anything they sell or install. Huh? You charge people thousands of dollars and have no stand behind on the work or the parts you install? Why would anyone use you after learning that? You don't learn that they don't cover it until you need their help though, that's the deal. I tell the manager how displeased I am with the whole experience. Taking weeks if not a month to get back to me, no responsibility taken, making me pay even after a month of trying to just speak with someone at your company, just to have your guy come back and look at their install and parts you sold me, and sell me the same service and part again? No thanks. He finally says, ok, we'll have someone come by and look at it for free for you but if it needs new parts we will not cover that or install. Great thanks, when can I expect that? Our office will call you to schedule. Great thanks a lot. Never heard from them again. That was over a week ago. To the ownership: listen to your customers frustrations. Try and help or solve the issue. Don't shut them down. Improve your communication. Why is it taking weeks to respond to an email or voicemail when a customer has an issue with your service? I bet if I needed a new service of some sort, you'd be Johnny on the spot. Improve manager training, and if who I spoke to is the owner, that's a shame because you failed on every aspect of customer service. Your staff failed in properly communicating and responding, then when it got escalated to management, you did nothing to help solve the issue and what you said you would do, you didn't do and I never heard back from you forcing me to express my experience. To new customers, there's lots of great companies out there, make sure you do your research and choose the right one.
