I wanted to like this place so bad!! I'd been following their ig page for a long time and I decided to trust them with my daughter's teen brows. The price is a little high but I didn't mind paying for the quality of work I was desiring. First time was ok, Leslie lightly cleaned and shaped her eyebrows and we were satisfied with the result. About a month later we returned a second time for the same service, but this time Leslie over waxed my daughter's eyebrows!!! We'd asked for the teen brows again to just clean up any growth. Instead Leslie gave her a high arch making her brow bone look bare. My little girl's eyebrows were ruined! "The brow guru" didn't deliver! It's taken weeks for her eyebrows to grow back. read more

I have been following the guru ig page since their grand opening... Microbladed/tattoo eyebrows have been something I been interested in.. I am nervous. I had the same eyebrow lady for 7 yrs. I am not comfortable with people touching my face. My eyebrows are thin not badly shaped. Hair won't grow. So I research this place through IG and their photos and website... Fml. I felt confident in the girl I chose. She was 10 min LATE.. yes she called me personally. That shows courtesy..but she started on me 15 minutes after appt.. can I charge a late fee?? I'm all smiles. I dont want to start a bad vibe and be upset shes late to my appt.. remember vacay mode:) I was doing shape and stain. Just to test it. I like thin eyebrows so the fact they were gonna be a little thicker was a tough choice I wanted to get use too. I figured it'd be a perfect time with vacay. Two other girls were waiting on her I felt rushed and her hand felt sloppy. How do you jump out your seat and say "fuck this I'm out?" I paid and tipped as I should. I tried to guide with a lil of my request but she kinda seemed bothered at the first request to fix an arch. She definitely favors the right side. I'll add she was on cellphone during MY appt!. She seemed like she was super sweet. Ehhhh The walk away presentation was good but after damn my brows were f'd up and by 9pm the same night. They were gone. Lmfao Like it was a dream well nightmare because roughly $70 bucks out my pocket. It had to be my brows!!! All the great pics they post but mine had to be f'd up. As much as I tried to keep the positivity.. Tattoo artist are really stepping game up and also doing some beautiful things. Microblading is not the only form. The day of my appt I felt a little under the weather. I called to ask if I can still attend my appt as I have been vaccinated for covid in January and my husband who routinely tests for covid, tested negative 2 days prior.  The policy specifically states if "you" the client cancels your appt within the week then you loose your deposit. You need to give at least 1 week notice of cancellation for reimbursement or credit. I did not know 1 week ago I was going to feel under the weather. I notified their staff of my symtoms the morning of my appt as a respectful courtesy, and wanted to know if I could still be seen. The secretary with the hot pink hair had no customer service skills whatsoever and told me she would return my phone call with news, she never did. I received an email shortly after saying my appt was cancelled. The same secretary said my deposit was forfeited because "I" cancelled my appt. I DID NOT CANCEL MY APPT, THEY DID. I was unable to speak to someone of higher authority over the phone, so I went to the salon for my appt and was informed I had to wait outside until someone was available because I had covid symtoms. I had the slightest congestion!  After respectfully and calmy waiting outside for 20 minutes, 2 male police officers showed up. They were told I was asked to leave and refused. They never asked me to leave!!! I was waiting to speak to the manager/owner. Andy and Gabriel, the police officers, agreed they were being petty but there was nothing they could do. As a Latina I wanted to help out another successful Latina and give her business. I'm really disappointed in the way things were handled. Leslie, the owner spends more time on her IG pumping this place up instead of honoring customers and her policy. I would go somewhere, anywhere else but here. I was really excited to get my brows henna with all the great pics on Instagram. But after getting my eyebrows done here i was definitely not satisfied with the out come. I literally looked like a freaken ventriloquist they are too dark n very thick. I emailed them and said it was normal to look like that the first 24hrs but even after washing them as instructed i still don't like them. My eyebrows don't look like the ones on Instagram. First off, I could've been turned away being that they were closed, however Bryseida was SO nice and said we would walk in. I love Prime! I can not say enough about Leslie.. I started coming here just after lock down when salons were able to open. My one luxury I have never been able to do without is my eyebrows. I am not sure how I stumbled on to The Brow Guru's IG, but once I did I was dead set on making her my new eyebrow artist. Prior to finding Leslie I was desperate and went to an underground waxer during lockdown. The 90s eyebrow was what I walked out with. Leslie slowly and carefully brought my brows back to life.. they grew back and I never felt like they went through a awkward stage. Waxing or threading she knows what she is doing and the bonus she shades them in after( I make sure I have date night after). Please keep in mind this is not a turn and burn salon. These artist take their time at their craft and if you follow them on IG @primeboudoir you will see how amazing their work is. The energy and vibe is always chill and they make it comfortable well you wait for your services. Music playing, water, and a comfy couch. Very poor customer service. When I called the first time, the person who picked up the phone asked me to call back after a certain time to speak to the person that books their appointments. I called back hours later, when the first person I spoke to said the person who booked appointments would be available. In a phone call to that staff member that picked up the phone to ask their availability of appointments, they were rude and asked me to text them to check their availability and when I did, it was a land line that couldn't be texted. This review is long overdue. My first experience here was with Leslie-The Guru herself and she's fabulous!!! So great at brows and a sweet person too. Of course she's in popular demand so I opted to try one of her girls Lori... I can't say enough wonderful things about her!! She takes pride in her craft and has a great eye for aesthetic. I get compliments on my eyebrows on a regular and have referred several people. The sculpt & stain is a time saver and as it lightens still provides a guide for filling in brows yourself. I'm sooo glad Leslie opened this beauty den of wonder in my neighborhood!!! The pictures are two months after my retouch, as you can see one eyebrow is darker than the other and the shape is just terrible. had an appointment scheduled well in advance and a few days before they leave me a message asking if i can go in earlier. I couldnt get back to them the same day as i was trying to adjust my schedule. the next day i sent a message saying i can come 30 min earlier. i didnt hear back until 2 days later which was the day of my appointment and they were still asking me to change the time because the girl that was going to do my brows was not available at my scheduled appointment time. The staff was friendly and very welcoming! Great experience. NO COMPLAINTS. Also, with COVID-19 we are all concerned about the environments were are stepping into. I have to say how confident I felt stepping into the salon. Everything was extremely clean and sanitized. They have a check-in process to ensure there is limited contact with surfaces etc. They did a great job communicating what they are doing to keep their clients and selves safe but also communicated well about what steps I as a client needed to take. This review is for the henna and microblading appointment with Leslie. First let me talk about the henna. It was the worst experience, nothing like the stuff she posts on IG let me tell you. Full disclosure, I was running late for my appointment and I called. I expected to reschedule but they said no problem. When I sat in the chair, Leslie RUSHED the henna. She messed up cuz she was doing a sloppy and lazy job. Literally scraped my skin to get the messed up dye off with rubbing alcohol. Then she scraped the life out of my eyebrows to try and remove the henna and left me with two scabs in my eyebrow. I had those scabs for two weeks. The worst part was that I was only getting my eyebrows tinted because I was going on vacation and I didnt want to worry about filling them in. Luckily you couldn't see the scabs unless you got really close, but still, it's not okay. For $60+ tip, I expect her to work CON GANAS. She also did not remove the henna completely at the end. I looked like a dang clown, and I was trying to meet up my friends at a bar after. I had to go home and wipe off the henna myself. Her excuse for not finishing the job was cuz she had caused "micro-exfoliation" with the spoolie. Her words lol. At this point I had already booked a microblading appointment and I my only thought was "NO WAYYY" so I called over a month in advance to cancel and get my deposit back ($250) which meets their 2 week cancellation policy. Every time I called, they would say they will issue the deposit ASAP and ask for a call back number...then someone else from the establishment would call me back and try to get me to reschedule. It's like they didn't want to give me my deposit back. Also, there is no official receptionist or manager so I would be talking to a different stylist each time. The whole establishment seems sloppy and disorganized. So I had to eventually file a fraud report with my credit card company and guess what? I got my money back. Oh and also too when I went to get the henna, Leslie and another employee were talking bad about another employee. I didn't really care, but they were discussing how that person had been fired for messing up a client's eyebrows? Not something you should be talking about while I'm getting my eyebrows done lol. I can post pics to back up my claim but I don't really feel like showing how foolish my eyebrows came out. It hurts to leave a negative review because I really wanted to like "the brow guru", a "self made" Latina business owner, but for such an EXPENSIVE service, I had to save y'all. read more
