Mila is AMAZING! Every time I come here my brows are left awesome! I trust no one else but Mila with my eyebrows

In response to your message, when we did find her after she left ZIBA's her statement was the reason she did not share her new location with her customers was because of ZIBA's disclosure & she would be in trouble. She was very welcoming and happy when we found her after a couple of months. In my instance, I never gave her trouble or a hard time when doing my services. On the other hand, your front desk man that sits there making faces and asking why people don't tip like if it was an obligation has a very unwelcoming vibe. Front desk never told my mom that she would not be serviced, he said "come back in 3 hours." Did he also say that? This is not about Mila, it's about the unprofessional person you have at the desk. It wouldd be very much RESPECTED if someone stands up and refuses to do services the proper way. He NEVER stated "we will no longer service you." He stated "come back in 3 hours." How is that him relaying the information? Can you explain? And believe it when I say it I will not be returning to your business and I'm sure that the comments below me that you state as liars are very much truthful. The quality of service that he gives is noticeably different than any other business. I would rather pay more than deal with the unprofessionalism that he makes people encounter. As of for Mila, her service was always pleasant ESPECIALLY when he was not in the surrounding area. As a customer for many years from her previous job it comes by surprise that now it's an issue. You are indeed correct, you are allowed to refuse business to anyone but also as a consumer we have rights that can be advocated for. Better business Bureau If I could rate this place a 0 for the vibe I would. I have been a customer with Mila for over 20 years. Since she moved from ZIBAS to this place the man in the front counter makes the vibe very unpleasant. He is very rude, unprofessional, controlling & arrogant. She was a very happy person when I initially met her. She is not allowed to speak or interact with her customers. I've recently had a bad experience with him and I will not be going back ever again. I will be reporting him to the consumer board, labor board for his unprofessionalism not just for the consumer but for her as well. Something seems to be wrong as she now looks afraid of the man. Woman have to stand up for their rights. Rude arrogant man. Find a job instead of living off of Mila! That is her husband and he sits on his ass all day long. read more

Mila is amazing and I will never go to anyone else. I have been going here for almost 4 years since I moved into the area. They're closed on Tuesday but open the rest of the week. Sometimes there is a wait but I like the service and the precision of her work. I wish I could give you more stars to make up for the haters on here. I have also gotten facials done here before. I have had to reschedule my appointments and have no issues at all. They take cards with a $1 fee so that takes the hassle of making sure you have cash. read more

Came to Yelp to look up the business phone number but came across a review where the owner/management responded and I felt it was directed towards me. It is the most unprofessional, childish, and upsetting response I've ever seen in customer service. How dare you make up things about customers like that! I bought gift cards here as a Christmas gift because I believe in supporting small businesses and the relationship I had with your staff. I was told of the expiration (3 months) but that was after the transaction went through but luckily I knew the recipients would go soon after Christmas. I actually went with one of the recipients of the gift cards where they were told it had a balance of 14 which should've been 30. We told him there must be a mistake because this was the first time they were using the card, instead of being professional and apologetic about the awkward situation, he insisted that we already used it. I asked if there was a way to check, perhaps the transaction date or the security cam, and he told us to wait which I did calmly for more than 15 minutes, also there were no more than 2 customers at this time and both were taken care of. As for checking balances or records on gift cards you just use a Word document for each card you've assigned. I can see how easily things can get mixed up. If that's the only "system" you can use right now I would make a suggestion and use an Excel or an Access document, it could help organize things much better, just speaking from experience. After waiting to be called back on, your employee informed me that he was having trouble getting access to the cameras and told us he'll take our number and inform us of what happened. We did not receive a call that day or any day after. I figure if we didn't receive any call, perhaps it was taken care of. If you punished your artist for your mistake I would think in a business of your sort would have some liability insurance(especially for a 16-dollar discrepancy) to take care of such errors instead of taking it out of the pockets of your employee. I also suggest if you are going to disrespect customers on a public forum you should publish true events and not "fake news". I am very disappointed in your lack of professionalism and accountability. read more

Mila was super efficient and did my brows super well! Was very relaxing and the man at the front desk was very nice as well. I came in on Tuesday afternoon and there was nobody else and would say it took about 10 minutes for both brows! Eyebrow threading was $9. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Decent threading service but the wait is was really long. I waited one hour for a simple eyebrow threading with only two people ahead of me. Would not recommend unless you have endless time on your hands. Also, this place unlawfully discriminates on the basis of gender. They have a sign displaying their unlawful policy of not serving anyone of a specific gender and the business owner apparently defends such policy as evidenced by his response to a customer complaint below. To the business owner: your discriminatory policy violates the Unruh Civil Rights Act. Additionally, the way you respond to customer complaints reflects very poorly on you. Shame on you. Update: Since there is no reply feature to respond to the business owner's response, I am updating my review below. Michal, it is entirely false that there 7+ people in front of me and that I was trying to cut the line. There was one person in the chair and one person in the waiting area waiting for her turn, making it two customers in front of me. I did not attempt to cut the line - in fact I did not even communicate with the attendant other than to say hello until it was my turn. Your comment about reviewing the surveillance and my photographing your customers is ridiculous and false. In reviewing other responses you've made to reviews, I see you've made the exact same accusations of other customers who have left poor reviews. So it seems this is what you do: rather than take customer feedback constructively, you attack your customers and make false accusations in attempt to discredit them. This may be why your business is affected. I think people can get past slow service, but discriminatory policies and a business owner who goes on these tirades is something more. If you have a "no photography" policy, it was not visible to me. But I will take down the photo displaying your unlawful policy out of respect for your alleged policy. If you do have such policy, you are clearly only enforcing it in retaliation of me calling out your unlawful business practices, as I do not see you commenting on other Yelp user's photos taken inside your establishment. Let me start off by saying the threading artists are fantastic! But that is as far as the good service this business provides the man at the counter is rude and has no customer service experience and BEWARE DO NOT buy any gift certificates or leave any type of credit with this establishment. We were gifted gift certificates it's actually just laminated paper no where on the certificate or was it communicated that the funds needed to be used within 3 months by the way i'm sure there are laws against that in California. After being treated poorly when trying to reedem my gift card everytime after I went back to the business I was told they had three hour wait times I felt I was black balled after they accused me of already using my gift certificate. The woman who threads your eyebrows is absolutely amazing. I don't like my brows too thin, but I also have a scar in my left brow that I fill in. I left a deposit for two facials when I called to reschedule it had to be a day that they picked. I asked I if could confirm the day with my granddaughter and he said that's the only day or I lose my deposits. I have been a customer for 5 years. Ive never seen any other services going on here but they do promote other services besides eyebrow threading. I have been coming for a long time to have Mila do ny eyebrows. Mila is very kind when working on your brows. She does a great job especially for the price. Mind you if you go at busy hours, weekends or lunch time. It will be busy and you will have to wait because its only Mila doing the brows. So try to go at a time where you dont mind waiting or at non busy hours. read more

Walking distance from my house! Love to drop in whenever i need a bit of cleaning up! i have gone a handful of times and it seems Mila now recognizes me and knows what I'm going to want! Years and years ago, I used to have a girl named Mila (at Ziba's in Artesia) do my brows. She was the best!! Detailed and I left with perfect brows EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. I ended up moving and years later went back but Mila was no longer there. I tried several brow threading places. Most were ok but often inconsistent. One time my brows would look good another time they'd go to high on the arch and then I'd have to let my brows grow back. It was super annoying. And then as I searched again for another place to try, stumbled across a Google review of someone claiming they found Mila from Ziba!! I went to Dolphin & Dolphin and it was true. Mila did my brows and while she may not have recognized me (it had been at least 10 years) I was so happy to see her!! Nothing had changed. Mila is literally the best! I've been going to there location for over 5 years and I have lived in Carson the whole time. The first time I went in she noticed my eyebrows were different lengths which I've never been told. She made them look even somehow some way.
