Eyebrow threading is $15.99 ? That is way too much than most of the places . Generally , all the places I went to is around $8.99. Plus she told me my eyebrows are uneven. This is the first time I was told that. I noticed one of the reviews mentioned the same thing , so I am not sure whats it about , because my eyebrows are just fine. The last couple of times that I've come to Ellie I have not been satisfied because my eyebrows have not been done properly. By that, I mean that she's not detail oriented and I end up having to pluck some of the hairs she missed. However, this time it's worse than usual. My right eyebrow is messy. I asked for thick eyebrows but that's what I always ask for and they are always shaped nicely. This looks messy and they're not even. Anyway, when she hands you the mirror, make sure you take a good look before you get out of that chair. I didn't and that was my fault. read more

Not happy. She was very sweet but she said she could only clean up my eyebrows since they were uneven. I've been to places before where they would even them out and they came out proper. It looks like hardly anything was done. She did not shape them and you can still see hairs left over. read more

The way business is ran on their own personal hours. The business owner does not respect the hours posted on door/online. Everytime I plan on going she is never there or on her way. I would always call before going bc I know how flakey she is. This past week I needed my brows done for the holiday so I called her and she told me she would be there at one. I walked over there with my two babies. This was about a thirty minute walk, it is easier for me to get my brows done this way as the babies would be sleeping. As I get there, this was at approximately 1:30 pm, I see her driving out the alley. I was so upset, I called her and her reason was car problems. I explained to her how I walked all the way over here and she specifically told me she would be there at one and now is leaving 30 minutes after. Where's the customer service? I will no longer be coming here. I have always been patient and communicated if she was there before going always and now this happened. No very unreliable and has no care for running a place of business. read more

I usually make a whole drive to go to other eyebrow threading places, but I wanted to try one more local to me. THIS. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. Ellie threaded my eyebrows and she was the kindest and most courteous lady I have ever had do my eyebrows. She asked if it was my first time there and she introduced herself. After getting my eyebrows done at Ameenah beauty and threading for the past 5 years on Washington Blvd. I thought it might be time to check out a new place as I was dissatisfied with the outcome of my eyebrows every time I went but didn't know where else to go. After seeing the reviews for this place on yelp I decided to change it up and go here. I was not disappointed! The lady here was soooo sweet and gentle. She was patient with my eyebrows and noticed the top needed to grow so she avoided it and suggested I let it grow. Ellie is such a sweet lady but most of all she is really good at what she does. My daughter and I let our eyebrows grow out being that we couldn't find a place that wouldn't butcher our eyebrows again. Seriously!!! Ellie takes her time and is light with her hand. Threading was pretty much painless. Thanks Ellie for bringing our brows back to life. We finally have beautiful brows again. Salon is very clean. Everyone is required to wear a mask, sanitize their hands and temperature check upon entering the salon. I have been seeing Ellie for over 10 years now, even before she opened her shop in uptown. Ellie is an amazing person she is friendly and always welcoming. She listens to what style you are requesting and makes sure you like your eyebrows when she is done threading. I have noticed that she has raised her prices over the past months from $6-$7 so make sure you have enough cash before you come because she does not accept card. Recently when I have been coming to her shop I have felt a bit rushed so make sure you come before rush hour which is around 5-6pm or you will be having to wait for about 20-30 min depending on how many clients are ahead of you. She is the only employee working in the shop so that is why it may take a while. Overall if you are in need of good thread, Ellie's is the place to go. read more

Omg, saw all the positive reviews on yelp and really wanted to try this place out - I happened to stumble across it while getting breakfast across the street and just stopped by to ask about availability and pricing. As soon as I walked in Ellie was so sweet and inviting that I thought she had mistaken me for someone else but I quickly realized she's just THAT NICE! She asked me to wait while she was finishing with another client and was happy to take me as a walk in. She explained to me what she recommended i do with my eyebrows because they're uneven (she was super sweet about). But she said, actually Promised that she can fix them! I was looking for someone to do my eyebrows because someone had previously ruined them. I would normally get them waxed, but at this point I was willing to thread them (I usually avoid threading because it's painful). I asked around to see if anyone could recommend and eyebrow lady and about 3 people said I should try Ellie. My goodness was this the best decision I've made. She does such a great job. I found this place through yelp and so happy I did! Ellie is a sweetheart, she had her business setup outside in compliance with covid state guidelines. She sanitizes your hand, cleans the chair after each use, takes your temperature, does not use her mouth for threading and she washes her hands before starting with you.
