Scammy and deceptive. Jodennis and his crew showed up at our door unsolicited telling us immediately that he wasn't trying to sell us something (he was). They are NOT directly with ADT. They are a third party. We recently purchased our home. He said that our real estate company paid for the installation and the equipment. Our realtor had no idea about this deal, when we later asked them about it. He got us on the hook for a 36-month contract and was rushing to get a technician out to do the install the same day. After looking at the contract and seeing some inconsistencies that set off red flags, as well as poor online reviews, we decided to cancel. The number listed on the contract to cancel sent us to ADT and they couldn't help us. We got back in contact with the dealer and were able to cancel, but they did not send the cancellation in writing (another red flag). Overall, it was a shady experience and we are glad we cancelled before we owed a ton of money. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOME. read more

I had verbally agreed to a 1 year contract during our conversation this past June. Unfortunately, I trusted and didn't review this contract sent. I agree that this is my error. I am extremely disappointed with this 2 year contract, and with ADT customer service. If I cancel now, I will be charged for the remaining contract which is more than a year and a half. I will be sure to cancel as soon as possible. As far as the quality, it is not stable. I believe the other security systems are of better value. read more

I had my ADT system installed by Devon, he took time explaining everything to me gave me his number for questions, which I had, and he always replied in a reasonable time frame . I had issues with my Internet provider and he came back out to the house to help me fix my cameras. Devon was respectful and super kind. I love seeing these qualities. Would give no stars if this was an option. ADT has been great however prime protection is horrible and you should avoid them and use any other dealer. System was installed incorrectly and could not reach anyone at prime protection. Several messages left with no response. My salesperson left the company and had no way of helping me. When called ADT they also couldn't reach prime protection during business hours. Get ADT do not use prime protection!!!! read more

Prime Garbage. Worst company with the worst customer service ever. No integrity whatsoever. They're trying to extort a disabled combat veteran and my non-profit animal rescue for calling out their scam and filing a complaint against them. Salesman Jodennis lied to me for 30 min to get me to agree to an install. Took me 2 weeks to find out I didn't have fire monitoring like I was promised among a plethora of other promises that were never kept. His number didn't work so I called the office and asked them why I didn't have fire monitoring. I was promised a phone call in 24 hrs from the manager Raymond. I called back a week later to cancel my service when my call and concern was never addressed in that week. I'd still be waiting for them to call back if I hadn't called them. I asked Raymond if he allows his employees to lie to customers and he had no response. I filed a complaint with ADT corporate and they canceled my service and I thought it was over. 2 weeks later Raymond starts emailing me saying I owe him $1300 to cancel my contract and I have 30 days to pay or he'll send it to collections. After spending another hour on the phone with ADT corporate I continued to get the same run around and no one would take responsibility or accountability for the salesmans lies. I filed a complaint with the BBB and continued to get the same disrespect and run around from whoever responds to their complaints. I have emailed the FL Attorney General and will continue to expose them for the scumbags they are. They may not care if my animals and I die in a house fire but I certainly do. In response to the owner: I called on May 18th to address the fire monitoring issue and was told the salesman was the only person who could help me and to wait for his call, which they promised me they would contact him and he would contact me in 24hrs. I called to cancel on May 25th because I had still not received a call about my concern and was never offered the possibility of adding fire monitoring in the entire 25 min long phone call. I gave your company twice as long to address this as you give customers to figure out your system, even though there's a 14 day familiarization period to avoid false alarms, and a looped recording on the ADT corporate hold preaching their 6 month money back satisfaction guarantee. read more

Door to door salesman wearing shirt w/ADT logo sold alarm to be installed & monitored IMMEDIATELY; several instances of the alarm being set off by garage door, glass break detector, & from the sliding glass doors being opened. I never received a call from ADT so I called them. I discovered during this call that I was under contract w/ Prime Protection (PP) & that the system installed was NOT from ADT corporate. I was told to contact PP which I did & even after the tech was sent to the house ADT did not call with the sliding glass door being set off later. About a week after that visit I had a smoldering fire in the kitchen; fortunately I was at home and was able to call the fire department; the (ADT) smoke detector NEVER alarmed nor did the company call when the fire dept cut the power. PP removed their system but never told ADT corporate. ADT states that PP must release me from contract; PP won't answer PP/ADT breached contract. I was using a local security company to handle my monitoring for my home and business, one night the alarm went off for no reason at all, but scared me to death. No one called, I even have the in house 2 way communicator, someone came on there asked if everything was okay 3 times and then disconnected. No police showed up. I could be dead right now. I decided it was time for a switch to someone well known. I found these guys and haven't looked back. These people are bigger crooks than the ones they are claim to protect you from. Had ADT for 14 years. Sold my home recently and called ADT to cancel service. They informed me that they require a 30 day notice so my service is cancelled immediately but I owe a balance of $61 for the two weeks between the time I notified them and 30 days from my notification. First off, why 30 days when you can cancel the service immediately. Second, my full payment each month was $72 and now 2 weeks are $61? read more

This is by far the worst company I've ever had to deal with. They don't properly cover your home! They say one thing on the phone and a completely different thing when they're in your home. The sales rep completely lied about what the system can and can't do. Just ask the sales rep if they'll cover all your windows with sensors and watch him try to weasel his way out of doing so.
