We got through a quarter of our stuff before we realized there was NO way we'd make it up the three flights of stairs with all of the other stuff and furniture. We called Liberty Bell in a panic and completely exhausted and they responded in ten minutes!! And before we knew it, they came in about an hour. Cost $350 to move everything in with three guys. They finished the job in maybe an hour and a half?? WOW! They completely saved us and moved everything in, nothing broke and everything was in great shape. This is the best moving experience we've ever had and probably will ever have. Trust them with your move! Thank you Liberty Bell!! We honestly can't thank you enough.

I hired them in a pinch to do a move from Biddeford to South Portland a couple years ago. Quoted move was for 3 hours and 3 guys for whatever the price was - sounds good to me. They were also the only moving company with any openings - in hindsight, another sign. Everyone else was booked for months. Well - they show up and what a team it was. 3 guys that all acted like they were 13-year-olds. While they were loading the truck, they broke a few pieces of furniture, including a wardrobe and a stand up mirror due to their negligence and goofing around. They didn't apologize or offer a solution to anything, even though it was very, very clearly their fault. One kid was also nowhere to be found for 80% of the move. Early on, I realized that if I didn't help them, the 3 hour move would take closer to 10 at the pace they were going, and with a jacked up price along with it.... so I was helping them do their work to speed it up. It was honestly a joke, but what are you going to do when you need to get something like a move done? You make sure it gets done. While we were unloading, the one kid that was never working jumped out from under moving blankets in the back of the truck at me, thinking I was one of his coworkers. The team lead didn't get this kid to start working at any point during the job either. He (the kid) had strong "my dad is the coach" energy if that makes sense. I want to say we started in the morning, like 8 or 9 AM and ended after the sun went down. Team leader came up to me for payment and gave me the bill, which was only for the amount of the original 3 hour long quote. He said "It's the wardrobe, mirror and coffee table discount" and laughed about it, to my face. I didn't find it funny. I also didn't tip them and will never hire them again. --- Although a new addition and something that I wasn't expecting, but totally tracks with what I experienced... This pop up came up when I loaded their Yelp page: "This business may have tried to abuse the legal system in an effort to stifle free speech, for example through legal threats or contractual gag clauses. As a reminder, reviewers who share their experiences have a First Amendment right to express their opinions on Yelp. More information about the action that led to this Consumer Alert is available here." https://www.themainewire.com/2023/01/maine-moving-company-that-threatened-people-who-left-negative-online-reviews-owes-state-125000/ I'm not sure if it was the company or Kevin specifically that had to pay the state $125,000 for that one. My experience was enough, but considering the rest of it...? Do yourself a favor and go with another company that isn't soaked in drama.

When hiring any service firm, I typically try to get three quotes and ultimately evaluate the teams on price, reviews and services. If I'm honest with myself, cost & reviews tend to weigh the highest. At the end of the day, all I want is a professional that will stay true to their estimate, do a good job, offer a fair price and not try to screw me over. Boy, C Martin Movers is all that and more. Not only did these guys come in lower than the competition but the quality of the work far exceeded my expectations. Don't let the tattoos fool you, these guys are real professionals that take pride in their craft. Smart, nice and they planned my move like a tactical strike. From figuring out "the math" of moving large items in a tight space - to delicate care of my fragile items - these guys kicked butt. All for a price that was less expensive than their closest competitors. Do your homework, looks at unbiased reviews and get your three quotes. I bet you end up picking Charlie's team and you won't regret it. Best mover I've ever worked with. Outstanding job!

My husband had just passed away and I was further traumatised by their horrible service, lack of professionalism, disorganiztion and carelessness with our possessions, then even more incensed when I saw how they packed our items like a stack of garbage. Hearing good things about Two Men and a Truck I called them when I needed to have things moved from storage into my apartment. Two Men and A Truck made the move from storage so stress free I almost burst out in tears. They not not only showed compassion and empathy but patience as well. They moved what items I chose for my apartment, and offered to come back, ( I will gladly rehired them), to redo the packing of storage so I could go down from 4 units to 2. My bill was extremely fair, and they put everything exactly where I asked them to at my apartment. This move was stress free, pleasant and a relief. A big shout out to Christopher Horn and Logan Parish from the Hillsboro/Beaverton hub. Thank you for making this Grandma one happy customer.

We assumed a professional moving company would arrive with basic equipment (straps, harnesses, or moving aids) and the know-how to move large furniture. They did not. The three movers were kind and polite, and this review is not meant as a criticism of them personally. However, they were clearly unprepared for the job. No measurements were taken, no equipment was used, and they appeared unfamiliar with basic techniques like angling furniture through doorways. This was frustrating, especially since the couch had previously been delivered through the same doors without issue. When the crew struggled and stopped, they called their manager, Brandon. Based on what we were seeing, my husband honestly said it wasn't going to work with this crew. Despite the fact that nothing was moved, we were charged $190. After the movers left, my husband contacted Brandon to discuss the situation. Brandon was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility. When my husband pointed out that no measurements had been taken, Brandon responded, "Well how are they going to know if it will fit until they try?" despite the fact that using a tape measure is a basic, professional step that was never attempted. Brandon refused any refund or partial credit. We are out nearly $200 because Two Men and a Truck sent an unprepared crew and then backed that up with poor customer service. If you are moving anything more complicated than boxes, think carefully before hiring this company. We strongly encourage the owners to consider additional customer service training for Brandon. His behavior showed no professionalism, accountability, or interest in finding a fair solution. If he is an owner, that is even more concerning.
