I decided to grab the phone number and make the call. Nevertheless it was the right decision as I was able to get Annmarie on the phone immediately. After discussing a few price options and her availability (which was flexible) I was able to schedule an appointment to have her come over and spend a few hours squaring away my messiness. I could NOT be more pleased with the way things went. She found space on the walls where I wasn't even looking. Room on my shelves where there didn't seem to be any left. It's unreal how much space you can save by simply being creative in the most amazing of ways. This woman is a god send and I could not be happier about the outcome. I totally forgot to take before and after pictures. But there will be many more jobs at my home that this woman will be doing. What a great business!!!

I want to post an update to my prior review…read more As bad as the moving experience was, Piece of Cake Movers completely changed my view when it came time to address the issues I raised afterward. Emily handled my concerns with professionalism, fairness, and real diligence. She could not have been nicer. She listened, took the issues seriously, and worked through them in a way that felt fair and respectful. My original concerns about the move itself remain what they were. But I also recognize that any business of this size can occasionally have a bad crew or a bad experience in the field. What matters is how the company responds when that happens. Here, the response after the move was excellent. Credit is due where credit is due: the post-move customer service, especially from Emily, was outstanding. For that reason, I am giving the company 5 stars for how it handled the aftermath and resolved the issues. I will use them the next time I move. Emily was that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I rarely write bad reviews (feel free to check out my others reviews, which are all positive)…read more However, I cannot not warn others in this instance. I had my purse with $980 in the zippered compartment in one of our bathrooms where we were storing the stuff we didn't want moved. The movers were told this on multiple instances. The movers had zero reason to be in that room and did not ask permission to enter it. Had they done so we would have asked them to use the other bathroom. I know the movers were in there because the toilet seat was up and there was urine in the toilet when I went in. I am female and my fiancé is completely blind and has to sit to pee and doesn't put up the seat. When I went to tip the movers, the cash was gone from my purse. No one besides myself, my fiancé and the movers were inside the apartment since I'd taken out the cash the previous evening. I informed the company immediately. They did nothing about it, claiming they questioned the crew who denied it. As if they'd confess to stealing about a grande. Please learn from my mistake and either avoid this company. Or at least keep your cash on your person and lock any doors the crew should not be entering. Personally this is the last time I will be using them as trust should be a priority particularly with a company you are handing your belonging. In case it helps, the head of the crew was named Alik (that spelling may be incorrect) and the license plate number on the truck was 79759NG.

I don't know how they do it. They've moved me up and down walk ups. They are so careful in packing my TV and furniture. For example they wrap things so they don't get scratched and then they set it up for you again!! I seriously cannot recommend a better moving company. I've used a few. This is by far the best. Thank you Ed and Jivon!!!

Northeastern Movers and Roadway lost my life--100 boxes (an entire crate)!…read more These moving companies lost 100 of my 130 boxes in a move from NYC to MN last year!! Can you even imagine receiving the news that ¾ of your valuables, heirlooms, and memorabilia--including those of your recently deceased husband--are missing because the movers amazingly LOST an ENTIRE CRATE of boxes? It's heartbreaking and frustrating and financially devastating! I remain ready and willing to resolve this matter, but they have ignored my recent pleas for fair reimbursement. Moving is an incredibly stressful and costly process anyway, but this takes the cake. Please consider this in choosing your mover!
