Lilly the bartender took care of myself and 4 degenerate individuals while on a Pheasant hunting trip. She was professional and completely overwhelmed from the bar, restaurant, servers and private party. She kept a smile on her face the entire time while also playing hostess to walk ins. Absolutely amazing!! Menu is limited, but I think that's what makes this place awesome. I had the steak tips and it was one of the few times I have eaten steak without needing any type of sauce! Meat was tender, not one tough piece. Of course I was thrown off by the lettuce wedge salad, but I think it just adds to the charm. Would suggest mixing and matching margarita blends as well! Good overall place to eat at. When I tell you the menu is very limited I'm not joking. I believe you have about 7 choices. I think this place is better if you want to sit at the bar vs family outing. The restaurant can get very loud at times. Also, It's more of a cramped environment as well. The food however was very well prepared. I recommend the steak tips if you want a choice. Disappointed. My friends ordered the steak tips and those looked good. I ordered the 8 oz prime rib cooked medium. When I got the plate the prime rib was clearly medium-rare to rare. The waitress didn't even check to order to see if my order was correct. I don't mind a steak done medium rare.I proceeded to eat it. (Plus anytime I have seen a steak sent back, at any restaurant, it just seems like the end results are not great.) After I finally caught the waitress to point out that the steak was not done medium; she agreed. I said I would finish eating it but I just wanted to point out to her and the cook that this wasn't what I ordered. She said okay I'll tell the cook. When I got the bill they should have at least discounted it; they did nothing. read more

The server questioned me if I really wanted it rare and I said yes. My husband ordered medium rare and he was equally pleased. it was perfect, melt in your mouth beef. Our friend got Salad wedge fresh, great ranch and blue cheese dressing. Baked potatoes excellent. And 3.50 margaritas.. really good. I visited Prime Time as a business traveler. Word of warning, the ONLY entrees are steak, steak, and steak. Sides are potatoes or a wedge with ranch dressing. No green veggies, no other salad dressing. My 'filet' was not nearly the same quality as ANY other filet I've had before. I'm not sure it was even a real filet. The baked potato was not completely cooked. But if you are looking for a cheap dinner, my meal was only $13.95. You get what you pay for. read more

Came to Prime Time Tavern while on a business trip. Based on their reviews it looked like a great place to have a steak dinner. I came on a week night so there wasn't any Prime Rib on the menu. I ordered the 6oz Filet Mignon cooked medium. It comes with iceberg wedge salad and baked potato. The wedge salad was quick however it was drowning in dressing. I was never asked for it to be on the side or not. Since it was smothered (their Ranch was really good!) it made it difficult to cut and eat without dressing everywhere but tasted good. When my steak cane out it looked great till I cut it open. I was disappointed to find it was cooked medium well/well (no pink in the center). I felt bad, but asked for a new one. When I received the new steak (which came quickly) it was cooked more on the medium well side with a light light pink center and looked like a brick squished it while on the flat top. The taste was on point but not as tender as most mignons. I gave it a 3 because the staff was friendly and very attentive and the prices were reasonable. I'd give it another chance but not a place I would crave to come back too. Sorry. read more

Ok. This is a steak house but not with a menu. You get options and it is a size option. Steaks are delicious! You get a wedge of lettuce to start off and it comes with a side of baked potatoe. They have prime fri-sun and filet the rest. If you want options go some where else. But you won't be disappointed in what you get. The waitress (think it was amanda?) was great. We visited this restaurant this evening for dinner and noted a limited menu. Steak. Steak. And steak. Not much to choose from but they do it well. Choices really are a 6 oz. 9 oz. or 12 oz. (double 6oz portion) or a chopped sirloin. All steaks come with an iceberg lettuce wedge with ranch dressing, a baked potato and a piece of bread. My filet (of the 6oz variety) was delicious, cooked medium rare as I had ordered, and was fantastic. I had requested a side of horseradish cream sauce and that didn't come out with the entrees so I asked again when the plates were delivered. Just a side of horseradish came out, which was fine, I just mixed a little of my sour cream from my potato and voila! Horseycream sauce. We finished our dinner with a slice of cheesecake that was equally very good, and tasted fresh. Our server was quick at the beginning of dinner but was absent near the end, we ended up walking up to the bar to pay our check. Being a former server I'm certain she was in the back doing side work of some variety. It happens. For the limited lunch choices that I've found in Huron this was a pleasing dinner. read more

My advise is to go early. This is a small restaurant and you may have to wait for a table. The wait is well worth it. The restaurants full service bar can make the wait most enjoyable. We both had the 8 oz. prime rib dinner which had to be the best I've had in quite some time. Very tender with a wonderful taste. The prime rib is served with a salad and baked potato. read more

The Prime Time Tavern refers to itself as the "The Best Steak Value in America". I have only at this restaurant on the weekends so I have NOT had the steak - only the prime rib. The menu seems to change a lot because on my last trip I had a choice of either 8 oz or 12 oz prime rib. This was a big disappointment because I was very hungry and a 16 or 20 oz size would have hit the spot. In the past they have offered larger cuts too? The food - you will get a wedge salad with your choice of dressing. Nothing fancy just lettuce and dressing with a couple pieces of pineapple and slice of melon. A little onion and club cracker would go a long way to making this salad better. The prime rib came out (see picture and was a little disappointed with the texture. Kind of gristly and over cooked for medium. However, I have the rib here before and has been cooked great. Overall this place is a good little stop for a very well priced meal. I think it was $12.95 for the prime rib? If you want the real deal prime rib.....go down to Mitchell and eat at Chef Louie's. read more
