They do the "appropriate" -call insurance to call this practice to then let me in. Still to this day they claim I have no insurance referral but "Can get an appointment either just pay full price (never on your life) or cancel (again-methinks not)". Attitude was given so I gave it right back. Needless to say I'm searching for a new endocrinologist after 10 years of one of these docs who spun off of CMED. (I no longer guess as to why they did that) (if you still do the answer is $$$). Only go here if you like being treated like a turd. Oh, and you don't get the endocrinologist unless it's an appointment. Never if you need a call or update to bloodwork, then it's their gatekeeping minion. I changed to a new doctor and a week after her office received my request for my medical records to be transferred, she sent a letter stating she was "breaking up" with me. That would be funny if she was in middle school...(I swear dude, she didn't dump me, I dumped her)... but she is supposed to be a medical professional. Right? SMH. He discussed treatments and did a physical exam. He provided his treatment plan and sent Anthony in to discuss the details. Anthony provided the pricing and payment details and offered to begin then and there that day. I had plans that were not compatible with starting treatment, so I said I can't start today and stated why. Anthony said, "I'll call you next week"! I was ready to start and looked forward to the call. It never came. On Wednesday, I called and spoke with a female who answered. She said they were out of the office and Anthony would give me a call the next day and they had my number. It never came. The following week, I wrote Dr. Deal a hand written letter and mailed it. I received no response. I couldn't believe that I, as a prospective patient, was being so totally ignored. I started looking around at competitors. I filled out an online request to be contacted at another doctor's office. Again, crickets, there was no response. I began to wonder what the cause of this might be. Was it cold indifference? Was it administrative oversight? Systems communication failure? Do they have so many more patients that they can't possibly process all of them, and maybe not those that don't sign up "that day"? Are you black balled if you say, "Yes, please call me"! I would have gladly given my money if I thought they could treat my conditions. And what they suggested, I researched which only confirmed what they told me. So, why the Crickets. Hopefully they read this and will respond.

Long story short (because I could talk about this for hours), I began having debilitating, unexplained symptoms 2.5 years ago that presented like an autoimmune disorder (autoimmune testing was continuously negative). I spent tens of thousands of dollars, countless hours researching, and saw over 15 doctors/specialists who couldn't diagnose me. It got to the point where I was told it was probably Fibromyalgia, and essentially there was nothing wrong with me and I should consider a psych evaluation for a pain disorder (beyond humiliating and degrading). I even asked my Gynecologist about the possibility of having endometriosis two years ago, but she said endometriosis doesn't cause back pain or leg numbness (very wrong), so I didn't pursue it further because I believed her. Fast forward to May 2025, out of sheer desperation, I decided to "retrace my steps" to see if something was missed, and I found Dr. Nezhat on Google. My only regret is not finding him sooner. Every single symptom I mentioned, he validated as a possible symptom of endometriosis, and never once dismissed me because I didn't necessarily have the stereotypical symptoms of Endo. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Nezhat and even told my husband "this is where I'm supposed to be". Such an amazing feeling. Dr. Nezhat performed surgery a week and a half ago, and said it was the worst case he's seen. I ended up having deep infiltrating endometriosis throughout my pelvis and abdomen (over 40 excisions/biopsies). This condition caused systemic, inflammatory and auto-immune-like symptoms; it literally destroyed my body and I don't know what I would have done without him. He genuinely saved my life. I can't predict the future, but Dr. Nezhat will never get rid of me :). Thank you for believing me. Thank you for saving me. It has taken me a few months to get to the point of being able to put into words what Dr Nezhat has…read moredone for me and to write this review.  Dr Nezhat saved my life.  I had been getting sicker and sicker over the last 2-3 years.  I had seen 3 Gastroenterologist, 4 gynecologist/gynecological surgeons, 1 neurologist and had gone to the Mayo clinic for weeks at a time with no resolve.  I have had MRI's, CT scans, X-rays, blood tests and a laundry list of other tests to determine why I was in so much pain and so sickly all the time. I have had 2 abdominal surgeries and later a partial hysterectomy, leaving my ovaries.   And I was still in so much pain and got no relief.  I told my husband twice I thought I was dying, and I truly was tired of living in constant unbearable pain that I wanted to die.  My husband told me to go and see Dr Nezhat, as his family members had great success with him as their doctor.  Dr. Nezhat is 100% the most knowledgeable and educated Doctor in his field.  He is extensively published, and I felt there was no doctor better in the world to review my case.  I called and spoke with his amazing and caring staff.  They organized my visit and gathered all the medical history.  I had an exam and met with Dr Nezhat after he reviewed my lengthy history.  About 1 month after he began reviewing my case, he scheduled me for surgery.  Dr Nezhat was the only doctor that found the issues and decided to do exploratory surgery on my abdomen.  I am very glad he did!  This was a life-changing event for me!  He spent the time going through my entire abdomen, organ by organ.  Cleaned, repaired and put them back in place where they belonged.  The surgery took about 6.5 hours total with recovery.  Dr Nezhat is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors I have ever met and I have seen many.  He truly cares for his patients, their healing and well-being above all else.   I highly recommend not giving up on yourself and your pain!  Schedule to see Dr Nezhat.  It will be the best decision you EVER MAKE!!  Thank you isn't enough Dr Nezhat and your entire staff.

I believe Dr. Berner is very knowledgeable. He explained situations well. Unfortunately, I went to him for one problem and he focused on another issue. I have my long time endocrinologist who addresses that issue and it's in check. I was sent to Dr. Berner for a new and specific problem. I wish he had focused on that as much as he did the one that did not require his advice.
