Heated tent! So cute inside to hang out!

Must visit to this adorable coffee truck ( + heated tent! ). They have some fancy drinks, a current winter coffee menu and besides yummy treats like croissants also some treats for the dogs! They also have smoothies with boosters, matcha menu, dairy free milk alternatives, and a lot of organic flavors. Super friendly and cute ambiance. The heated tent is such a plus, especially in the cold. It has multiple sitting areas from a couch, hammock chair area, 8chair table for larger groups and a little table and chair for "work" or any other type of alone time while enjoying your coffee. Nice music in the background. Service is really good, the menu is extensively large for a coffee truck and pretty fancy! Definitely check out their winter menu. One of the best coffee trucks I've ever been to!

My first Boise (okay, Meridian) coffee spot and it was definitely a winner. I'm not sure if I would call it an actual shop, or a truck, or a trailer. Regardless, the was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I went with my go to--a large drip--and it was the perfect start to my day. Great flavor and temperature. The beans who roasted perfectly, no burnt flavor. The "build out" of the parking lot/garden area was adorable. if I would've had more time, I definitely would've popped down in one of the Adirondack chairs to enjoy my cuppa.

I was on my way to lunch in Meridian today. I haven't had my caffeinated beverage yet so I stopped into Primitive Grounds. It was on the corner in this neighborhood. I almost missed it when I turned the corner. I have never been to a coffee food truck type stand before. It's a pretty cool set up. Walking up, I see there's plenty of outdoor seating. Pretty potted flowers. It was nicely shaded at the stand so it easy to read thier menu boards. They offer a ton of drinks and baked goodies. As much as I wanted to step out of the box, I got my usual Americano. I appreciate that they have organic syrups here. They even have sugar free organic syrups . I have been to a couple local coffee joints who only serve organic syrups with no sugar free options. You feel almost frowned upon for even asking. Primitive Grounds is not the case! They offer 3 sugar options. So, today was my normal small iced americano with sugar free vanilla and cream. I got my drink ordered by the sweet gal behind the window and checked out the menu while it was being made. Wow! I got an an amazing americano today. It was balanced in espresso, vanilla and cream. The coloring was perfect! You can tell by looking at it that the espresso wasn't watered down. It had the perfect amount of half and half. I did add a couple of blue packets, I do like my drink sweeter. Perfection! It was great stopping at this little local coffee joint. The staff was really sweet! The venue is chill and nice. I appreciate the shaded areas so the sun isn't beating down on you while you're enjoying your drink. They pushed out a fabulous iced americano. I look forward to coming back if I'm ever in the area again. A must go to for your caffeinated drink if you're in Meridian.

I wanted to give 5 stars but I'm not sure do I like the place or not. Don't get me wrong food and drinks were amazing! I'm glad we came earlier before there's a line. We went around 10am and there were two people working in there. The lady in there took our order was nice. But when we try to order the food, pretty much there's nothing left. Like literally nothing but only one or two items on the menu, out of many many items in there. So we ended up getting the last Nutella croissant and KOUIGN AMANN. But ended up being told they don't have Nutella croissant anymore after we ordered. Just felt like a crappy experience lowkey. When she took the order was a tad bit slow, so there was a long line waiting. Not saying it has to be like Starbucks or anything like that of course!! They ended up giving us two free cake pops, didn't really get to try it since I'm not a huge fan of cake pop but sweet of them giving it to us! For the KOUIGN AMANN, it tasted delicious!!! It's tasted very fresh!!! The only thing I didn't like is how this shaped and how hard it is to bite it. It's like stabbing my gum with each bite. I got wild rose coffee and I love it so much!! At first to me it smelled like chai, but my husband said it smelled like floral. Maybe we have different nose sense! But when I drank it, it's not tooo sweet and my mouth filled with floral favors! I'm obsessed with this drink. And somehow I think this drink is so strong my hands started shaking but maybe because I got 20oz. It got me hopping around doing bridesmaids duty all day! They were working some small maintenance work behind the truck but very close to the chairs-ish. When they flipped something there were dust and sand flying over to our side and thank god all our food weren't opened at that moment. It's super easy to find parking, it's just street parking and it's not even filled. So yeah overall I'm not sure do I like the experience or not but I do really love my drink!!

Cute little coffee food truck near Downtown Meridian. Has a nice outside seating area as well. I got the iced New Moon and my husband got the iced Mellow Mood, both mochas. Pretty decent, although I'm interested to try them hot as I think the flavors got masked a bit by the ice and milk. The Mellow Mood, in particular, didn't really taste like a mocha -- chocolate is waaaay too subtle. Baked goods were from a bakery they partner with, and those are just okay. Great people though!

I've been going to Primitive Grounds since they first opened and have really enjoyed watching them grow. Their coffee has always been smooth and well-crafted. Over the past month, though, my last few visits haven't quite reflected the quality I've come to expect. I've noticed some new faces, so I'm hopeful this is just a brief training phase. I still recommend giving them a visit, if you find yourself in the area.

Wild Rose Latte The oat milk matches the rose well, it's nutty with a good rose aroma.

Cute area but really slow service. And coffee is pretty weak. If you don't want to wait 15 minutes go somewhere else.

Some of our favorites were the Cherry Bakewell Tarts, Jam & Coconut Sponge cake, Scones, and Shortbread. We also enjoyed getting to try the "Royal Wedding" Elderflower Sponge cake. If you recall, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a Lemon-Elderflower cake with raspberry filling for their wedding cake. I can't say enough good things about this unique business. I remember this joint towards the other end of Fairview so it was nice to run into it today. I never got a chance to stop into their last location so I took today as a sign to grab some treats. I walked in and sawthe beautiful display of goodies. I'm a visual eater so seeing all my options front and center is fantastic! They all looked like gems. Trying to pick a few cookies out of all their options was going to be a tough one. If I had my way, I would have gotten one of every kind. There were two gals that were helping a guest. I let them handle that transaction while I was looking over the display case. She was asking a bunch of questions so it was taking a bit for them to help her. I honestly thought that at least one of them would have greeted me. It's not the best feeling just standing there feeling invisible. I don't think two people need to ring up one guest. So, I just stood there. Finally a sweet gal that was in the baking area greeted me. She was really kind and knew that I was not being helped. She stepped up to the plate and got me taken care of. I finally narrowed my 4 cookies down to a chocolate chip, lemon sugar, pb Nutella and a cookies and cream. You gotta have a classic chocolate, it sets the standard for your shop. Lemon sounds refreshing for the hot day today. PB and Nutella is a winning combo. And you can never go wrong with Oreos on top of a soft cookie with frosting. I started with the PB and Nutella cookie. I had no restraint and ate that whole thing while driving to my grandma's place. She lives about 4 minutes away. It was so good! The cookie was very peanut butter forward. The Nutella frosting was the perfect compliment to the cookie. My grandma got the lemon cookie. I did steal a bite or two. I'm so happy I chose that cookie. The cookie was sweet and the frosting was tangy and bright! I shared the other two cookies with my husband later that night after dinner. How do y'all bake such a thick cookie and have it perfectly cooked in the middle!?! It's pure magic. The chocolate chip was just what we needed after dinner. It was thick, soft and had a nice amount of chocolate chips. I did polish off the Cookies and Cream cookie the next day. Everything about that cookie was fantastic! I appreciate how much Oreo was on top. I would frequent this joint if it's closer to work or my house. I'm happy I got to stop in and grab some sweets for my family and I. My initial interaction wasn't the best but I adore the gal that helped me for stepping up and helping me out. You only get one chance to make a great first impression and the first two girls working really failed. Happy that the cookies were fabulous and if I'm ever in the area, I will have to stop in and try another 4. Hopefully my next visit will be nice from start to finish.
