I was looking for an electrician who services my area and found this company through a referral from a family member. I had a bedroom closet light switch that needed to be replaced as it was intermittently not working. David sent me a quote very quickly when I requested one through Yelp with a picture of the light switch. A little later in the morning, I decided to text David again to give me a quote on 3 more light switches that were very old and I wanted to get replaced. David texted me an adjusted quote within minutes after that and also provided an option for modern style light switches for a small additional cost. He also made sure I was okay with the color of the switches. I decided to have him do the job to replace the old switches with the standard light switches. He not only sent his tech, Lalo out the same day, but also flexible to agree on a time that was convenient for me. David is also very quick to respond to questions, which is helpful in communication, keeping me informed throughout the process. What can I say. All the reviews are right on. This is the best example of a family owned business that pride themselves in being honest and hardworking. The work they did was clean efficient and what else to say but PRIMO. I literally got to see two generations of electricians (father and son) working in perfect unison. They left the work area cleaner than before they started. When I had question days after the job, David who coordinated the first job answered within one ring and was very pleasant and patient. I never felt rushed or over sold on services. He made it feel like he's a friend who starts by giving some good advice. Our rental property needed a new outlet after converting from an electric to gas range oven and David, the owner, listened to me describing the issue carefully. I sent him a few pictures and he was able to provided a quote over the phone within minutes that was competitive. David arrived on time a few days later and was able to do the job efficiently and cleaned up after the work was completed. I then also had them reroute a non-working switch at my own houses. Again, reasonably priced, efficient work. Vincent who did the work at my house today was very polite, thorough, detailed in explaining what he was doing. Everything was checked to identify the problem and then fixed quickly. The area was cleaned up nicely afterwards. This review is for David and his staff (Lalo, Jesse, and Jesse Jr). These guys are the real deal! Super professional and knowledgeable team. We hired them to convert our 110v outlet to a 220v. They did the work very efficiently and were respectful of covid precautions by wearing masks at all times. Additionally, given the sensitive time with spiking covid numbers, I also asked if they could remove their shoes or wear shoe covers, which they did with no complaints. They all brought great energy to the job and were pleasant and kind people. I would definitely hire them again if I have any electrical needs in the future. We have an older home and I was worried that the problem was going to be more than just changing out the fixture, luckily it was not. this Primo Electric isn't up front with you? First they told me that the fan" in my bathroom was burned out and it had to be replaced.They said they will return the next day from 9 to 11:00am? So i'm thinking their going to start the job and replace the motor in the fan.So i'm waiting and waiting and hear nothing from them? So i text them to see what is wrong and they text me back saying they had to order the part and they will be here at 12 to 1:00pm.So again i'm waiting and waiting and here nothing?If they would only tell you whats going on in the first place and tell you what to expect i would wait for them,but i felt there was no communication and i was left waiting and waiting.Well i could'nt wait any longer so i text them and told them to forget about it i didn't want their service any longer.I think next time just tell the customer what to expect and what's going on,keep them more informed and they won't lose any more customers. read more

Love everything about what they do. They installed a brand new 200 AMP panel in my house, wasn't the easiest, and they did it like absolute pros. Had them check and replace GFCI's that I was told were bad by others, and not only were they honest and said some of them were good, but didn't charge me for just making sure. Short review: saved our house. house now safe and everything runs excellent; super happy. Long Review: following up previous reviews, two things I have learned: updating an almost 100 year old house is a domino effect of maintenance, and I know nothing. When the floors were finally resurfaced, several outlets stopped working. I was positive it was a simple fix. I contacted David, who helped with a simple job prior. Frank and Jose came to my house, in an hour Frank said "you know these wires are not grounded. This is original wiring." Frank and Jose spent about 20 minutes explaining in detail the wiring structure based from what they had access to, how bad it really was, and the dangers it posed to our house. I asked about rewiring the house. Frank immediately got David on the phone and about 10 minutes we worked out the contract over phone and email. Over the next several weeks Frank, Jose, Jessie, Jr. and others went room by room and routed the wires each to a dedicated circuit. They found our attic (The entrance was above the California cooling fan in the laundry room, which they remounted a little higher before they left to give a little more clearance space it desperately needed.) every day, when I was updated on the wiring. Turns out there was some DiWhy wiring going on that was also unsafe. There were several more outlets added to the inside of the home, outdoor outlets added, everything hardwired (outdoor lights! finally! yay!). We also discovered the wiring to the backhouse was oddly wired as well when they attempted to test the circuits at the fuse panel. my FIL paid them to add 3 more circuits to the back house so all the appliances would function properly. NGL, My house is a mess. Primo did a super job working with a wood lath + plaster spanish revival, maintaining the integrity to the house, adding much need outlets everywhere I needed, and advising me on situations and electrical places I never thought about prior. Once I hired them they were on time and professional. I have been working with Primo Electric for going on ten years. I have used them for my the properties that I manage and the owner has been satisfied. I just used them again today for an installation of recessed lighting and ventilation fan in my own home bathroom. When David originally came to give me the quote on the work I just described a few weeks back. I had originally hired him for something else. He checked out what it was that I needed and told me I didn't need it and did a simple fix, no charge. Aside from that my bathroom light is beautiful! His crew is clean, professional, and efficient. I do not even have to touch up my walls or light fixtures where they did the repairs. This saved me even more money. David is very professional and honest. When I state honest- I mean he just returned money to me that I overpaid him. I had no idea I overpaid him- I really would have never known. I am out of town and this is a rental property, but even so I want to maintain is a a wonderful home and will pay very well to do it. I asked Primo electric to run electrical conduit down the trim boards from roof lights to switches, so the tenants could turn the lights on and off. Instead of going down the trim Primo ran the lines in the siding away from the trim. I brought this up and the owner wouldn't fix the work. I paid $1,165 for this and three outlets - so really I just hoped the company would follow through. I shared our original communication with the owner where I asked for the line to come down the trim. He still would not fix the work and has instead replied to this review with a comment. It is unfortunate, I used this company once before and really liked the first person's work a lot. I was hoping to use Primo as a go to service for the house while I am away, but need to know a company will ask questions if something comes up and will follow through. I am not sure what happened, but I would recommend trying a different company. You wouldn't want this experience. read more

Dave and his crew of guys were great! Jess and his son and the guys were very professional, friendly, and informative. They had no issue with answering any questions that I had as they worked. I had some recessed lights put in the kitchen and had my breaker box replaced entirely. Jess patched everything that needed to be patched and they cleaned up great afterwards. Primo electric was top notch. Three qualified folks showed up on time and with a great work ethic. While I mostly stayed out of their way as they worked I could hear their conversations. This company is run like family - everyone did their part and everyone treated each other with respect. I have a small child at home and not once did I hear them drop an F-bomb or talk about anything inappropriate. They played music in the room they were working on the project. I enjoyed the fact it was a mix of oldies and classic rock. Jesse was my point of contact on the job, he made it too easy. They installed a new ceiling fan after relocating the existing electrical box and even patched (no paint per my request) the ceiling. About a week ago the power went out on a number of outlets in my home (not all of them). I called Primo and was very surprised that they triaged my problem over the phone and explained that I only needed to replace the faulty outlet. He also recommended replacing all the outlets that went out in case they were all old and installed at the same time way back when. Well I did what was recommend and saved myself some cash which was also quoted to me over the phone if I did need them to visit. Great "service"! read more
