I was surprised T the quality of my take out and how. It was packaged. The fries were thrown In a paper bag . This is sad for somebody that is getting takeout because they have to travel home so these fries got cold and they were nasty. I have had food from this place before, but I ate in eating and they seem to care much more about their customers taking it out. They throw it at you like you're a dog. They were not friendly. They were very rude. It was a disgrace and I paid almost 9 dollars for these little bag of fries and let me tell you the quality didn't constitute paying nine dollars and the quantity was so small. I love everything I have tried including their pizza (typically order plain but I really love their bbq chicken!), wraps, calzones, subs, & burgers! My mother was a wise woman, which is why I was fed a diet exclusively consisting of local South Jersey pizza from the age of 2 until I moved to an antarctic research station at age 18 for further "study" of my "abnormal physiology" and "bizarre and deformed face" but that is neither here nor there. We were at a party and there was s piece of cheesesteak left and I was really impressed with it and shocked when I heard it was from Primo's. My only experience with Primo's was the pizza they sell at the concerts on the beach in the summer which is just OK. So we ended up there today. The Sicilian pizza looked great so I ordered a slice along with a cheesesteak. Honestly they were among the best I've ever had. Service was perfect too. I like this place for what it is, but the quality of the food is inconsistent across the range of dishes. Servers are really sweet and quite helpful, which is a plus. They also have a quite reasonable delivery policy ($10 minimum, or $7 surcharge if less than $10 for where I was staying), which is better than most pizzerias for delivery in this area. I've only really had the pizza, so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. The traditional pizza can be anywhere from decent to very good, depending on the day. Unfortunately, the consistency is not there. I found the Sicilian pizza to be rather soggy and cannot recommend it. Fortunately, some of the flavored pizzas are much better, and I have had a good experience with the BBQ chicken, buffalo chicken, and white pizza (unusual for the Northeast, where the topping slices are better than the plain ones; usually it's the opposite). But if you like slices of a variety of toppings, this is a good place to go. Crust is quite good too! If the consistency on the traditional pizzas were better, I'd give it a 4. read more

I have eaten pizza here numerous times and have always been impressed. Tuesday I went in an ordered a "Super Italian" sub (hoagie). Let's say that the sub was less than super. A better choice would have been the WaWa up the street. But the best part of the sub was the food poisoning and continuous trips to the bathroom and headaches I have had for the past two days. I called them this morning to let them know that something is not right with their food and was met with the reply that no one else complained! Really poor customer response to a complaint. POOR QUALITY & SERVICE!! Ordered a chicken parm sandwich and they asked if I wanted "chopped or grilled chicken".. I reluctantly said grilled.. Huh??? Ordered an Italian sub and asked for crushed red peppers on the side.. My fiancé went inside to pick up the order and she got us two bottles of Sierra Mist. We drive home to find, a sloppy AF grilled chicken parm sandwich, half of which went to the dam dog!! Both of the Sierra Mist were over a month past their expiration dates and flat. I order from Walt's Original Primos Pizza a few times a month, I have done so, and I will continue to do so. I have dined in and ordered delivery. Each time the meal was consistent. These reviews are interesting. One girl said the refrigeration unit doesn't have a thermometer on it. How the heck would she know? The units are not at the counter; they are in the back. Someone else said they use a dough press. Again, how would he know? All of that is prepared in the back. There is no hose squirting out the sauce (that is Manco and Manco; wrong pizza place). When I first go to a new place, I go based on reviews, and if they are mixed I'll give it a try. Pull up here any day and you will see it is crowded. That should tell you something right there. If they sucked they wouldn't be crowded, so they can't be that bad. I have never seen them treat anyone poorly there, and I have gone in filthy dirty and probably stinky before while I'm working. They say hi to everyone and treat them all well. Go there and enjoy the food. You won't regret it. read more

Went here last night with 14 other people. Wanted something quick! We ordered a Veggie, Pepperoni, Hawaiian and White Tomato Spinach. They were all large size. I had a slice of hawaiian and white tomato, yummy! The pizza's were not greasy. Kids said that the toppings slid off their pizza, but it was still delish. read more

I live locally. I have ordered delivery from here multiple times but now for about the 5th time despite what their menu says they're closed. September 2nd the menu says that they close at 10. A few minutes before 9 and the young lady informed me that they were closed. Once or twice I can understand but this is the 5th or 6th time. The pizza here is the best at the shore IMHO. And the food and service are good. However, don't order take outs during busy times/days like the weekends. They'll give you old overheated burned pizza slices and overcooked, oversauced, slimy wings. The clam sauce was generic, unflavorful and runny. Horrible service. Who shuts the oven off nearly an hour BEFORE closing time?! The people that work here look like they are on another planet. They can never get a order over the phone, service skills SUCK. The pizza is always wet/soggy and tough even when you eat in. EXPENSIVE too!! Do not eat at Walt's Original Primo Pizza.. If you have a heart. Here's some awful stories for you all. My final rant. A man came in. He was covered in dirt, his clothes tattered, and he had walked through the restaurant with a stench moments before walking out again and seeking money from people as he stood on the street. After several hours, he came up with $5 and turned around to come back for a bite to eat now that he could afford it. My coworkers, the women of the counter staff, ran to the back to avoid this man. "he's scary." "he smells." I was mortified by the words they were muttering. I jumped up, ran to the register, and greeted this man in the most friendly manner possible. To me, he was like any other customer. The special for two slices and drink is $4. He put his spare dollar in the tip jar. I ached, fully aware that his last dollar, the only money he had left, would be split between myself, and the three girls who avoided him completely. Afterwards one of the females asked me "Why did you do that?" I responded "Because he is a human being and I am more than disappointed that you didn't." Running from and refusing to serve the less fortunate is simply ignorant. At least 3 whole pizza pies are thrown away at the end of the night, yet the less fortunate can't even PAY for that garbage and still be treated with respect. The food itself, well don't count on it being fresh. 98% of items sold here come in frozen and are heated to be served. The fresh ingredients are not kept properly. The refrigeration unit does not show temperature, and the toppings for pizzas and subs are not guaranteed to be stored at the proper temperature. Even worse, they are not labeled to be thrown out at a specific point. Want to know if it's fresh? That's okay, the kitchen staff will smell it for you and if they believe it smells like it won't kill you, they will put it on your plate. The soda machine which holds ice; the ice drawer is almost always left open, and the ice scoop is never removed from the ice. They are sticking their hands in to grab it every time. The worst part about this place, however, is the way management treats the rest of the staff. Your "friendly" pizza man, Victor, talks about every customer behind their back. Yes, while they are in the store. They turn around, and he makes faces and says terrible things. Is he making fun of you behind your back, you ask? It's more likely than not. This man also continuously shouts at the girls if they make mistakes, or even if they do not understand what he is asking them to do. I was called a "fucking idiot" for not knowing where a certain cleaner was just months after being hired. He also speaks in Spanish to make fun of the girls, including mentioning my sexuality and personal life in their native tongue. Which, for over a year I pretended not to understand, to make this man believe he could say anything without my understanding. I was an idiot, a "stupid lesbian". On my last day of employment I was cornered by this man and told I was no longer to write down orders before entering them in the computer because I was "wasting HIS paper". I was yelled at multiple times that day, cornered against the counter with this man talking down at me, reduced to TEARS. And I was let go the next day OVER VOICEMAIL for walking out due to my inability to continue working while sobbing. The owner, Walt, not only will not correct his behavior, but he encourages it. Months after beginning my employment, I went to Walt to tell him I had been called a "fucking idiot" a "stupid shit" and I was told that Victor was more important than me and he would not be making any corrections to the situation. WALT TOLERATES HARASSMENT IN HIS BUSINESS. It's sick. He allows Victor to beat girls down until they believe they do nothing good enough. In my time working there alone, 3 girls needed to seek psychological help, and all of them blamed this man. My last "review" about this business, is the clear homophobia coming from not only Victor, but Walt himself. My partner often dropped me off out front of the restaurant, because we lived very close by and going around the back was out of her way as she dropped me off. Remaining in the car, she kissed me goodbye. I received a phone call the next morning stating "someone had complained" and if I was dropped off by my partner once again out front and kiss her goodbye, my employment would be revoked. Because kissing my girlfriend of over a year goodbye in my own car would "poorly affect the business." I was also told my girlfriend was not allowed to eat in the restaurant during my shift, unless of course, I ignored her completely. Yet, other employees and female managers sit down during their shifts to greet and eat with their loved ones. Please do not fund this hate and homophobia. read more

Primos pizza is by far the worst place to get any kind of food. I'm so disappointed. I've been going there for years mainly for the barbecue chicken pizza. About two years ago at work my boss offered us lunch and we chose primos. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and there was a black hair in it. For awhile I opted out of ordering from there but the bbq chicken pizza beat the rest so I figured "I'll only get pizza from them." Tonight my kids were in the mood for pizza and pricing wise primos was just in my budget. I didn't have a taste for pizza so I decided to get myself a chicken cheese steak. I at the first half then a couple hours later came back for the second half. About my 3rd bite into the sub I feel this thick string in my mouth. I pulled out the longest nastiest piece of light thick(almost like an extension)hair from my mouth. DISGUSTING. I will never order from here again.
