Hole in the filter put a TON of diatomaceous earth into my pool. Have you ever tried to get diatomaceous earth out of the pool? The worst. I sent lots of pictures to them trying to figure out why my pool wasn't clearing up as they had said it would "in a few days". I found Matt on Yelp, and he came out in the dark a couple days later to measure the size I would need. He showed me where to order the right liner to be sent to me, then came out and spent most of a Sunday installing it. He gave me instructions to replace a portion of the filter line, and stayed available to me via text until I got that fixed successfully. Growing up in a family that owned a small business, I can easily recognize good service, and that is exactly what I got from Ahoy.

Leslie's is a busy store but we have been with them for several years because of their customer…read moreservice. There are items you may be able to find cheaper online but when we have in depth questions about our water testing, chemicals or equipment they have been more than happy to help. The manager recently helped us with a sticky situation and customer service like that does not exist in many places anymore! They do have great sales every year that we wait for buy things in bulk.. sometimes we can go 2 seasons without repurchasing. There is sometimes a wait in the store to ask questions or to be helped but it's because they truly take their time to answer your questions and help you.

In summer 2022 my wife and I purchased a robotic pool cleaner from Leslie's. The cleaner worked…read moregreat for awhile, but in July 2024 it quit working. It was still under warranty, so I brought it back to Leslie's and was told it would take a week or two to get a new power supply and motor block from the manufacturer (Polaris) & get the cleaner fixed. When I didn't hear anything after about one month, I called Leslie's to find out the status. I was told the power supply was in, but they were still awaiting the motor block. I waited another couple of weeks and checked again. And again. . . and again. . . over the course of three more months. I checked with Leslie's at least a dozen times. At one point along the way the Leslie's representative told me that there was a shortage of Polaris-made motor blocks nation-wide, and that Leslie's had been checking with Polaris weekly. Eventually, in November 2024 I decided to go to the manufacturer directly to verify the reason for the excessive delay. I was told they had mailed the motor block to Leslie's in July and they had the records to prove it. And, I was told there was no shortage of motor blocks nation-wide, nor was Polaris aware that Leslie's had not received the part . The Polaris representative apologized to me and sent a second motor block to Leslie's after I contacted them, and my cleaner was repaired within a week. I don't know what ground truth is here, since I don't really know they players at either Leslie's or at Polaris. But I do know that I was without the use of my pool cleaner for about 4 months. . . and as soon as I took the time to contact the manufacturer myself, our pool cleaner was fixed.
