Imagine sitting down with your family on a picnic blanket thinking you got what's in the menu pic only to realize the two of you supposed to split the sandwich get 1/4 of the chicken cutlets on dry bread. When I called they blamed my order on someone who was training but we had to drive to another place to get different edible food so the $11 they refunded me did not measure up to the inconvenience of all of that. Owner could have refunded our full order to make up for inconvenience but decided he doesn't care at all about customer experience instead. Just go five minutes down the road to Capriotti's and spare yourself the disappointment and the insensitivity of the owner. read more

Lunch, November 26th, 3 employees, i attempted to go in bqgel shop next door line out the door. Being time sensitive i walk in the primo hoagies, 3 employees ,no customers, and now i know why! The girl takes my order and immediatly starts engaging with other two employees, about mistakes made to a to- go order they were finishing. On 4 occasions she stopped production of my sandwich to talk to her co- workers. That was enough!!! I walked out without lunch or the $15 i had paid for a wrap. These are the best sandwiches in the area if you are looking for classic deli fare. Their pricing is in line with the chain, and its a great spot for lunch since it is close to Air Products across the street. Not sure about the other reviews, but the asshat who was mentioned is no longer around. I've been to Primo many times over the past 5 years or so. It's always been good, but not the best. For me it was always the fact that the bread seemed so heavy and tough. It's subjective and I know others prefer their bread over jersey mikes, subway, or or now defunct jimmy Johns. Prior experiences aside, Primo now tops my list of go-to sandwich shops. Why? What changed? The answer: my diet. I've been keto/low carb for 1 1/2 years now and was pleasantly surprised at the lettuce wrap options. Today I had the Italian and it was simpLy the best sandwich I've had. They wrapped it to perfectIon and I had no problem eating as a sandwich. No fork or knife required and no issues wit falong to pices because of all the extra sauces that I love (mayo, oil, and vinegar). The amount of meat and topping just set this over the top. If you feel Primo's is "too expensive", I hope you walk over to Subway and get run over on the crosswalk. If you actually want a hoagie that, I don't know, ACTUALLY HAS A CRUST, then go here. The taste between the two is incomparable, but if you feel Primo's isn't worth a few extra bucks, you should probably kill yourself. If you feel the service is "too slow", you don't understand that a good sandwich requires a few minutes of prep. At Primo's the meat for each sub is sliced-to-order. If you're fine with slimy meat at Subway that's been sitting out all day, by all means go there, you won't be missed. If you feel the customer service is "too rude", it's because you don't know how to order a sandwich. Being a Philadelphia-based chain, it is expected that you have the mental capacity to specify: "for here vs. to go", size and fixings. The stocky guy with a beard (as referred to by other posters) was yelling to another employee about intimate personal family troubles. His yelling was abrasive and the personal disturbing details he was discussing almost made me leave with or my food. I changed my order for To go because I could not stand another second of this man. I will never go to this Primos again. We had placed our order at 6:35 when closing time was 7:00. As we were ordering , we could hear the employee or manager telling other employees not to answer phones or take any other orders. They rushed out sandwiches and had made a mistake with the sandwich sizes, by giving smaller sandwiches then ordered. I had told the one worker and she was irritated but took the sandwich from me. The other employee (or manager) has asked her what happened and proceeded to call me a bitch and say I was looking to bitch about something. I said excuse you?! He was taken back I heard his comment. Needless to say I took my money and left with no sandwiches. Mind you, she was going to take the meat from the small sandwich and just put it in the bigger roll. I would highly recommend Primo Hoagie for a fantastic meal. Their hoagies are the best I have ever had. All ingredients are fresh, all meats are cut fresh for each hoagie and, they have a very large variety to choose from. Something to fit everyone's taste and diet restrictions. We recently ordered a party tray of which I had no chance to get a picture of as my guest were too anxious to start eating. They all enjoyed every bite and commented on the bread used as being fantastic. I love the way they cut the pieces in such a way that each person had an opportunity to try a bit of each variety we selected for our party tray. They also have a creative way of identifying each piece with the type of hoagie it is. The service was fantastic, great attention to detail and, reasonably price. Great sandwiches, pricey but worth it. There is 1 employee ruining this location single handidly. I hope the owner reads this it's the person usually answers the phone in the evenings. Hung up on me by accident or on purpose 3 times so I ate somewhere else. He is rude to my wife when she picks up food also. The kind older gentleman is there during the day most of the time but the younger stocky guy with the beard is very nasty. Compared to other primo locations, this one is just not nearly up to par. Whomever answered the phone was rude. The young man who waited on me at the counter was rude (possibly the same person) and the other person working didn't even lift his head. Not to mention, the hoagie I always order was actually bitter and bad. I normally LOVE it. There is something not right with this location, I'll give it another chance in a few months but for now I'll stick to other locations. Really disappointed. To be a little fair... I'll start by saying this is our third time here. The first time we ate here a very rude customer came in behind us screaming and carrying on because he got the wrong sandwich. This customer butted in front of at least four of us in line and the owner did EVERYTHING possible to make this idiot happy. The owner didn't care that the rest of us were very patiently waiting and never apologized to any of us for our inconvenience. The second time was a quick pick up that went smoothly. Today we waited in line behind ten or so people (we called in our order so all we had to do was pick it up). When we finally got to the register my husband very politely suggested to the owner that perhaps he could implement a separate line just for pick ups. The owner COMPLETELY ignored him and didn't even respond. Meanwhile there were several employees in the back just standing around trying to figure out what to do. We will NOT be going back there again. We are only five minutes from this location but will make the 20 minute drive to the Allentown (Cedar Crest Blvd) location where the service is always excellent! read more
