Paid for a 'professional' lash lift. But unfortunatly, the lengths of my lashes were not accounted for. Left smiley because they're all smiles, and also left with droppy lashes on one eye which just emphasizes my already bad asymmetrical face. I was told kindly by Megan, the sweet owner of this aesthetic place, that it's because my lashes on one eye are longer than the other. Roxanne, who did my lashes, should take that into consideration, it says they're the professionals, so i'm unsure what happened. I'm not the expert with lashes, but I hoped she would've been. Roxanne is super friendly though and Megan is very customer service oriented. I got i ntouch with her hoping to get it redone, but was offered a lash tint when my lashes are already black.... I feel like a lash lift is just a lash lift though. Just sucks having paid what I did for a 'professional' lash lift that wasn't accomadating to my lashes. Beauty is a science, and I dont think it was measured in my appointment with Roxanne. I wish I could give 5 stars for how friendly they all are and how beautiful her business is, but i'm just still not happy with the outcome. This lash lift adds to the crookedness of my face. I'm sure their other services are much better and they're all worth a professional price, but not with a lash lift based on my experience. read more

kajsarayann's Bown hair the esthetician assumed I had an appointment with her.She started going over my appointment info. I told her all, but the lamination was incorrect. She never got my name or anything. She began the process. It only came to realization when I was in the wrong place, by asking her questions about beauty, school. She finally realized too I was not her client. Always check I was new to the school and didn't know where I was. My eyes left burning. I can't judge her work, but only her attitude it was not friendly, and she seemed upset. I will not be in that salon. I personally am a stylist myself. A few weeks ago I had an appointment to have a makeup lesson. Being raised by a single dad, I never had the opportunity to really learn anything but the basics. I was encouraged when I found primp and refinery. They had a easy to navigate website as well as an easy scheduling system. I even called ahead to be sure I'd be booking the corrected service for what I was after and explained my lack of makeup knowledge. It seemed like the perfect place for what I was after. The day of my appointment 2/22 I arrived freshly showered and my hair wet because my power had gone out and therefore I was unable to dry my hair. I had absolutely no makeup on because, after all, I was going to learn how to properly apply it. I walked in and felt instantly judged. No one greeted me but I chopped it up to them being busy. Finally Maggie came out and asked if I'd been helped and I explained my appointment was with her. She showed me to a seat in the corner of the salon against a window. Although not at all private, I figured it was because the lighting was better there. It was uncomfortable and cold, but I kept my positivity due to the hope that I would come away with more makeup knowledge. As she began it became evidently clear that this was a makeup application. Not one single step was explained to me. Every once in a while a mirror was given to me to look at what had been done, but no instruction as to how it was applied was given. My hope of gaining any skills shattered and then I started hearing comments like "I use this foundation on all my aging clients." I am 35 years old, I would hardly consider that "aging". Okay, at this point, I'm a bit annoyed but I decide just to take it with a grain of salt. She noted that she thinned out my nose but again, I didn't realize my nose was a problem. By the time I was done I was more than ready to go. I paid, used my $20 credit to buy some makeup that I didn't really want but didn't want to waste the $20, left a good tip (at this point I just felt sorry for this poor girls lack of self awareness and inability to connect her comments with the offensiveness). I went home with nothing I had hoped to gain from my visit and $90 (plus tip) out of pocket. I thought it over and talked about my visit with my husband and best friend. They agreed I should write a review but I wanted to reach out to the owner and allow things to be made right between us. So I went into the website and emailed the owner Megan (I thought) directly. I wrote in my email that I wanted to give some feedback about my visit. The next day I get a call and before answering though to myself "okay cool, the owner is receptive and we can work this out". Much to my surprise it was Maggie on the other line asking me what the problem was. Awkward! I really did not want to discuss the matter with her so I explained that I just wanted to have a conversation with the owner about our appointment and knowing that owners always hear negative, I wanted to give my feedback. I admit that I made it sound like positive feedback but I figured since my email got intercepted (or passed off), this would the best thing to do. I asked her to please have Megan call me. As of this date, I have not heard a word from the owner. I have really put off writing this review but I felt since my experience still bothers me, it was time to get it off my chest. This place has a lot of potential but it was for sure the first and last visit for me. Update: The owner Megan called me, we had a good conversation and I appreciate her apology for the experience I had. I honestly believe it was a perfect storm (figurative and literally) that was the cause of my experience. While my review has not changed, my rating has. It takes a person with honesty and integrity to apologize, not make excuses, and offer to do whatever it takes to make things better. read more

What a fabulous place! Megan and her team will take care of all of your beauty needs. The chairs for facials and extensions make the experience amazing. They are so comfortable and heated! Very disappointing experience. I am new in town and went on yelp to find a legit place to get lash extensions done. Called and booked an appointment with kelsey. Mentioned to her that my husband is out of town a lot and that i may have to cancel. Day before the appointment just that happened and when i couldn't reach her on phone to reschedule, i went online to cancel and say i needed to reschedule asap. Never heard one word back. So if they're not concerned with customer service or concerned with my needs then I shall go elswhere. Fortunately I found Julie at Belle Vie and she was awesome! UPDATE- Megan the owner called me and was very sweet and apologetic. It was one of those unfortunate situations where Megan received the cancellation but thought it had already been handled. They do their bookings online and although I did cancel via online I was waiting for a callback to reschedule and It just brought a little confusion I think, for everyone. This is a few months overdue, but I am so grateful for Megan and her business. I live in Seattle, but found Megan through recommendations through mutual friends. I needed someone in Olympia to do my makeup for our wedding on the Hood Canal. Megan responded to me quickly, and we arranged for me to not only do a makeup trial, but get a full set of eyelash extensions as well. Megan really listened to what I was looking for, and helped me decide on a great look for the wedding day. Megan came out to the wedding venue the day of the wedding to do makeup for me, my mom, and several of my bridesmaids. She was sweet, timely, and even brought some tunes to liven up the pre-wedding festivities. I've had extensions before (got them done in Seattle), but they were nowhere near as nice as Primp's. I had a lash lift here with Kelli and she was absolutely fabulous, professional, and very skilled. The location is very adorable on the interior. Very comfortable beds for during the process. The parking is a bit confusing but worth the brain teaser for such sparkling service. My lift turned out wonderful and I'd recommend it for anyone with long straight lashes- mine don't even curl with a curler they are so stubborn but the lift fixed that! Overall the lift wasn't as impressive as I'd hoped, but I think that was because I wanted the look of extensions but hadn't wanted to spend that much (lol). Kajsa was efficient and nice to chat with. This was the nicest, cutest salon I've ever been to. I got lash extensions done. I wasn't in a closed door room. I was out on the floor, but the chair reclined back keeping a bend in my knee and was HEATED. I'm going to schedule all my lash touch ups around "that time of the month" because I was so comfortable. Came to Primp after having a horrible experience at Kim's Salon. I recently moved from Kirkland and searched for a place for a fill of my eyelash extensions. I found Kim's salon. Kim's technique was to dip a ton of eyelashes in glue and secure them to one of my natural lashes. Obviously the clump of lashes was too heavy for my single natural lash. This resulted in clumps of lashes falling out. My natural lashes were destroyed. I searched on the internet and found Primp. They were able to get me in the next day. Ashley took the time to safely remove all of the old (clumped) lashes and replace them. Now, my lash extension look extremely natural. Have a go-to lash gal in Portland but have been searching for someone closer to home since we relocated to the area. Went to one other place in this area several months ago; nearly half the lashes were gone at only a week in. Primp is the best lash/beauty boutique! Their new location is so amazing. It is so chic and beautiful inside with a lot of thought put into the little details. They also have new zero gravity chairs that make the lash process so much more comfortable. The chairs are even heated which makes the chairs especially cozy, I have even fallen asleep a time or two. I have had my lashes done by both Megan and Roxanne, and they are both fantastic at what they do. They both do a great job of really listening to what you want. In my case, I wanted my lashes to look natural but fuller. I consistently get compliments on my lashes and people are surprised to learn they are extensions, that's how well done they are. Primp has also been very accommodating to me. I have a schedule that fluctuates quite a bit, and they always seem to find a way to squeeze me in when ever I need a fill. I have been to Primp for lash extensions once and they were beautiful. In January 2018 I went to Primp to get my eyebrows microbladed due to lack of shape and color. I am middle aged (OMG) and wanted a more modern look and shape so that I would not have to pencil my brows in. I have light reddish blond brows with a few greys. I love Megan's shop. It is cute and clean and well decorated. Megan was kind, clean, and professional. I loved the way she penciled my brows in for our pre microblading appointment. We decided we were going for a more modern shape with a natural color. I was happy with my brows right after the first session. They were nicely shaped and had color but by the second apt they had lost some pigment. Luckily Megan offers a second complimentary session to touch up and fill in any bare spots. In the last 4 months my brows have lightened a bit and lost definition mostly on the inner edges and the bottom line. I do have a bit more shape and color than I had initially but not the shape and definition I was hoping for. I am now penciling my brows in which I was hoping I would not have to do after having my brows microbladed. They do an excellent job on lash extensions no doubt about it. They have a 5 star record and deserve it. There is a previous microblading review from a customer who had a similar experience as I did. I have had so many great experiences with Megan from Primp! First, having my makeup done as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding a couple of years ago, where she did incredible work. Once I started planning my own wedding for this past August, I contacted Megan again and went in for my first ever eyelash extensions as well as hiring her to do makeup for me and my nine bridesmaids. The day of the wedding, Megan came to the venue (pretty much at the crack of dawn I might add...while still looking fabulous and ready to go!) to make sure she could get through our whole crew with enough time, and listened to my whole "vision" perfectly. I was obviously just a little nervous that day, but she made me and everyone involved feel completely at ease, and the makeup turned out gorgeous!
