Our granddaughter has been attending Primrose for about a year. Her parents and our experience with the staff has been awesome. Everyone is quick to address any issues and they provide a safe educational environment. Primrose provides daily updates regarding arrival and drop off times, messaging regarding their naps, diaper changes, and their daily menu. We love that they also take pictures of her during the day and yes, they are beyond cute! We recently attended their Halloween trunk and treat event and it was great. They had photo Ops set up, a haunted decorated bus, and snacks for us and the kiddos. read more

My son has been at Primrose for the almost 2.5 years, since he was 3months old when I had to return to work. They have been truly amazing. It's hard leaving your child somewhere as a new parent, but they made it so much easier by being very welcoming and also keeping us very updated throughout the day. They also do a "Parents Night Out" once a month for a super discounted rate to allow for some nice date nights. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Primrose School of Bee Cave is one of a kind and absolutely amazing! Our son went through their kindergarten program a few years ago and we loved it so much we did it again for our daughter this year! He was beyond prepared for elementary school thanks to Ms. Miller and the curriculum at Primrose. The school is clean and organized. Our children have been at Primrose in Bee Cave since our daughter was born in November of 2018. We had some intermissions during COVID but have been back full time since our son was born and I went back to work in August of 2021. The community at Primrose is very special. Though there is teacher turnover (as with any job), there are several who have been there the entire time we have - and even longer! They make us feel welcome and truly part of a greater family. It's hard to send such young children to daycare but we feel comforted and supported at this school. They constantly send updates in the app to let us know what our children are doing and the teachers and staff are incredibly communicative. We absolutely love Ms. Victoria - she is easy to talk to and answers all my questions!! We also love all of our teachers and couldn't imagine our children anywhere else. I'm so glad my kids get to experience this incredible community - I know they love their time there and so do we :) read more

Both of my children have attended Primrose Bee Cave, we pulled my 3 year old out a few months ago and the baby around a month ago. Everything was fine for the first few months, but things quickly went south. First off, the teacher turnover rate is insanely high. My husband and I stopped learning the names of the kids teachers because they were gone within a few weeks or a month. In my baby's 7-8 months there, he had over 5 different teachers. Primrose claims that they comply with the state required teacher/student ratio, but there were many times when I dropped off or picked up and counted the kids and they were way over ratio. The communication with this daycare is obsolete. My baby was switched to the young toddler classroom without my knowledge. He does not eat table food yet(still stuck on pouches). In his new room they offered him table food and he didn't eat it, and they didn't give him any of the baby food I packed. I picked him up that afternoon and he was screaming and hungry. The teachers are not the problem, they do the best as they can with the severely limited support they are given by management. This is not a preschool, it is a daycare. So if you are looking for good hours but not a lot of learning, disregard this. read more

My little girl attended the private kindergarten class at Primrose in Bee Cave until May of this year. We had such a positive experience there and are pleased we chose that school. My daughter loved going to school every day and would even ask me on the weekends if she got to go to school. Brianna Hodges was our teacher and I can't say enough wonderful things about her. She went above and beyond every day for my daughter. She taught her things I didn't realize she was ready for. My little girl is often difficult to handle and Ms. Hodges had plenty of patience and kindness throughout everything. She is very warmhearted with all of the children, while still having firm control over her class. Christy Black, the owner, was understanding and compassionate. Christy, Jessie, Brianna and the staff always made me feel like they wanted my daughter there, regardless of the challenges. There is another Yelp review on here where someone did not have a positive experience with the owner. I interacted with Christy regularly while we attended her school and the negative description of her in that review is inaccurate. I am grateful for our time at her sweet school. read more

Both of my kiddos attend Primrose School of Bee Cave. I initially picked the school based on convenience to work and home, but I quickly became attached to the teachers. Over the past 2.5 years, I've seen many of my favorite teachers come and go but this past year we've had great consistency with the teachers in the two-year old classroom. Our family cannot brag on Ms. Nidia and Ms. Espie enough. They go above and beyond each day to love on our daughter and they have been great with helping her potty train. I cannot imagine the patience that it takes to deal with the challenges that come along with potty training a whole classroom of kids, but they do a great job and they celebrate all of the milestones with our daughter. I also have loved Ms. AJ in the infant classroom. I felt like she took care of our daughter as if she were her own. I haven't had a chance to get to know the teachers in the older infant class, but I am hoping to have the same experience. As far as management, Hayley, the enrollment coordinator, deserves a special shout out. She is always smiling, is very organized, and has been exceptional at communicating with me. I've also had a positive experience with the owner, Jared, through any issues or questions I've had. The school also has fun events such as a 90's prom themed dance, family barbecues and a spring fling festival. These have all been fun and given us a chance to interact with other families at the school. Overall, we are having a good experience at Primrose. read more

When we moved from Boston, I was certain I wasn't going to find a place like our previous facility. Boy was I wrong! From the moment I toured, to my daughter's first day of school in Preschool, I was immediately at peace. This school is loving, attentive to all children's needs, and the staff is incredible! We are met with smiles, hugs, and precious photos/videos every day. Both my daughters ask all weekend long to go back to school so they can see their teachers. Honestly, a lot of weird stuff had gone on here. Super high turnover, not only with the teaching staff but management as well. Rumor Mill had some crazy speculations, whether or not they are true is another thing but the fact that a daycare had "rumors" was a red flag in my opinion. I find it odd that every other daycare we looked at had cameras that parents can log into but this one doesn't. Guess it makes it easier to push off said rumors. Anyways, I would avoid it if you can. Better options in the area for similar cost. read more

Our child has been going to Primrose School of Bee Cave, Texas for more than a year and things were going south as management could not keep up with recruiting and retaining teachers with increased student enrollment. In the last month, our child came home multiple times with his feet soaked (and plumped) in his pee. Teachers were reminded on multiple occasions to change his socks and shoes when there is a pee accident (which is common in potty-training classes). I removed my child from the class after noticing that he was left in his pee (and shivering) for several hours past his nap time. Teachers do not communicate during shift change and the teacher in charge during child pickup did not know why my kid was laying on his bed (with his eyes wide open), with bright lights ON and other kids running around. It was definitely not the same place when he initially started there. Management did not dispute any allegations of the neglect but refused to refund our full tuition (for the days he did not attend) and supply fee for next academic year based solely on the formality that a 2-week notice was not provided. Based on our experiences, their expectation of me to allow my child to continue in a neglect environment just to satisfy their notice requirement was a ridiculous presumption for a parent to accept. read more

We had just moved from California and started our new life in Bee Cave, TX. We had heard good things about Primrose and thought to give your school a chance. Our son was lucky to have been placed under the care of some of the most dedicated teachers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. From day one, he was welcomed with open arms and the owner at the time, (Mr. Duncan) always greeted us when we dropped him off at school. As the years progressed our son became more comfortable in the classroom and gained the skills to be more social with his new found classmates. In particular, Ms. Gayle was one of those special teachers. She was able to get our son out of his shell and become more confident in his interactions. Our son had some challenges when he was younger and just needed that special someone that he could trust. Ms. Gayle came into our lives at the right moment in time. She is compassionate and very protective of her kids. As a parent these are traits that are important when placing your child in school. I can't say enough about her. We will always be indebted to her for not only providing a sound education but for being a friend when our son needed it the most. Every successful school has to have a strong leader(s). Primrose was lucky to have a few. I would be remised if I didn't acknowledge the unrelenting dedication and leadership that Ms. Jessie has displayed over the years. She exudes the heart and soul of the Primrose establishment: "Nurturing active minds, healthy bodies, and happy hearts". Jessie always greeted us with a smile and would also chat with us in the afternoon when I picked up our son. I have contemplated writing this review for some time now. We enrolled our then 2 year old with Primrose in June 2018 and registered our daughter who was born in September with the school. Things started off great, but within the last 6 months, things went south quickly and we have since pulled our kids from the daycare. The lack of communication from teachers to management and even management to the parents is ridiculous. There was a huge biting problem in the classroom with my son and the child was never pulled from school. They child was moved up to avoid the biting, but when my son was moved up, they were in the same class again and the biting continued. He had 15+ incident reports for just being bitten. The high turnover in the classrooms made it difficult to trust teachers and my son towards the end was begging us to not take him to school. His most recent teacher laughed and told us that that day she made him cry by calling him out for doing something embarrassing. In another incident (and the most frustrating and the tipping point for us), we asked that he not participate in splash day because we had forgotten his swimsuit. They still allowed him to participate, let him play in his clothes and shoes he wore to school. Afterwards, they changed him into a pull up (hes potty trained) and a t-shirt and didn't call us to let us know he had no other clothes to change into. My husband works from home and could have brought him clothes in 10 minutes. We picked up my son with no pants, shoes, or socks on and another mom had to cover him in a blanket before we arrived because he was shivering from being half dressed and cold from 11:30-5. There are a ton of great day cares in the area, but please, do your research. read more

The owners here have done an incredible job in their mission to create an engaging and joyful atmosphere for children. After teaching preschool myself for years, I am thrilled to meet a couple that strives to serve families well in a loving and educational environment. I believe that when they say the Primrose family is an extension of their own family, they mean it. If you have a chance to tour the school, I think you'll find that many local families agree. My kids attended Primrose from 2011 thru 2015. My oldest son attended Primrose from 18 months thru age 5. My youngest son attended from 6 weeks old until 3. We really liked Primrose from 2011 thru 2014, however since new ownership took over, the school has really fallen apart both is care for kids and professionalism with parents. We all make mistakes and I don't expect the teachers to be perfect, but there are certain things that are a must when you are in the business of child care. Letting a child wander into a room by themselves to be found by a parent is a big "no no". Luckily, it wasn't my kid, but I was the one who found the child and brought him back to the correct room. I have also witnessed teachers dragging kids by their arms, yelling at kids and bossing kids around because they don't have the patience or they are too lazy to interact with the kids in a productive manner. Not all the teachers are terrible Varti, Patsy, Ashley G and Gayle are great teachers, but who knows how long they will stay there. The turnover rate for teachers at this school in the last year has been extremely high. I stopped trying to get to know the teachers because they quit or get fired after a few weeks of working there. I doubt there is any training that these teachers get and the "directors" at the school are never in the rooms assisting teachers, but rather browsing Facebook at the front desk. My child was sent home multiple times with someone else's diaper because the teacher was too lazy to walk an extra 10 feet to grab the correct child's diaper. In addition to this, we had an incident where my child was sent home in a swim diaper and eventually urinated thru the swim diaper onto my furniture. My child's last day at Primrose was when I asked for an audit of my account because the amounts that I had to pay were different every week. The new owner has made it a point to start charging late fees and send harassing emails if parents did not pay by Wednesday of the week. (Historically, the previous owner's policy was by Friday). Long story short, the director was incompetent and couldn't figure it out so I escalated the issue to the owner. What came next was UNTHINKABLE! After making the issues with billing known and venting about the lack of care and attention that my child was receiving, KRISTY (the owner) says to me "You and your wife haven't liked me since I took over" and "if you don't like the way I run things, then you don't have to stay". Needless to say, I asked for my check back, made her zero out my account then I took my son and left. My wife volunteered time on multiple occasions during spring flings and back to school events to provide child identification and finger printing for the kids. To be the owner of this primrose and act so unprofessional, ungrateful, rude, arrogant, and disrespectful to a long time customer is beyond my understanding. I wouldn't recommend this daycare to my worst enemy. read more

One week they had a Water Transportation theme where the children got to explore a shiny boat and all the different parts. During Air Transportation week they got to take a tour inside a airplane. My daughter has been at Primrose since she was 3 months old. Yes, it was heartbreaking for me to go back to work and leave her with new people, so I interviewed 12 schools before selecting Primrose. Here we are, 4 years later, and I couldn't be happier. Sure, we've had differing points of view, and for example, one that felt "big" with one of her teachers. But, after meeting with the director (Jessie) and the owner (Christy), we all agreed upon a solution and it was implemented immediately. The outcome was a win-win for everyone. My daughter continues to thrive at Primrose and whenever we have play dates with children who don't attend her school, the parents ALWAYS ask me where my daughter goes to school because she is so advanced socially, educationally, and athletically. Caution. If you are looking for some individual attention for your child and low teacher turnover, keep looking. I hesitated to write this review because there are a few great teachers at this school, but overall this is simply not a good school. Classes are large. Communication to parents was sporadic. My daughter had five different lead teachers in less than two years. Management is very corporate and profit driven, thus the huge class sizes which were at times beyond what is allowed by state law ratios. Our now four year old daughter started in the preschool room this past May. She's since moved up to the pre-kindergarten room and we've been happy with her care and progress in both rooms. The teachers are warm and friendly, the staff are accessible and accommodating; overall, we're satisfied that she's well-cared for when she's not home with us. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't think her transition into the next stage room was well-communicated to us. We were caught off-guard. After bringing it up to the director, the staff did a nice job of walking us through the new program and we felt it was the right move for our daughter. We're happy with Primrose thus far and think the teachers and other Primrose parents have been pretty great. read more

Primrose deserves the best compliment from us! It's truly a special place, with special people running it. Our son started daycare at CCOA ~1 year old and later transferred to Primrose by 3 and eventually graduated last month. And, our daughter just started about 6 months ago. Looking back, Primrose is one of the best decision we made for our children. I always felt 100% comfortable leaving then there; it truly is a loving, safe and nurturing environment. The curriculum is great (e.g., sports, music, story time, artwork), and they also had a great balance in terms of allowing the kids to have free play time so they could explore and be curious on their own. A huge bonus is that they provide all the food and indeed healthy food. Looking at their meals menu, it includes quite a few fruit and vegetable. Another thing I loved about Primrose is that every afternoon we got emails about the day of our children. It is so valuable for us to see them in that environment with a big smile on his face, or a look of amazement, concentration or curiosity while doing the various activities. One thing I want to point out, since Ms Christy took over the school, we are extremely satisfied with the enriched curriculum and activities. Our son (5) has attended Primrose for 3.5 years, and our daughter (2) enrolled at 3 months. We live that the administrative and classroom teams take time to get to know our children and care for them as individuals, with their own personalities, likes/dislikes and neeeeds. Our son started kindergarten this year above the curve in reading, math and science. By the time our daughter turned two, she was counting to 20 in English and to 10 in Spanish. The children receive a balanced day of education, art, play, music and socialization. Primrose uses characters that emphasize strong values, kindness, leadership, teamwork, etc. as a working parent you often worry about striking a balance, but the assurance we have that our children are having really great care by a talented team when we are not there is invaluable.
