Unfortunately, our experience did not match those expectations. During a trial day, a young autistic child became upset after a developmentally typical frustration in a new environment. Instead of observing the calm support, co-regulation, and individualized approach we expected from a program with this stated level of expertise, we experienced a response that felt escalating rather than supportive. There were also concerns with the emotional regulation of the leading staff member, and online records that reinforced concerns related to emotional regulation and safety. The biggest concern was the disconnect between the program's stated philosophy and what we observed in practice. A moment that could have been handled as an opportunity for connection, regulation, and teaching instead left us questioning whether the environment was truly equipped to support autistic children in the way it represents, or any child. Ultimately I did not feel comfortable trusting my daughter to Magnolia. I am grateful we had the opportunity to see this before the school year began, but it was disappointing to have to reconsider so close to the start of school after believing we had found the right fit. Every child deserves a program whose practices match its promises.

From day one, this team has made us feel confident that our girls are cared for! When I went back to work and dropped off my 4-month-old for the first time, Ms. Irene gave me so much peace of mind. She treated our daughter with such care, and that feeling continued with Ms. Mairo and Ms. Anna, who have been part of her journey as she's moved up. Watching our now-confident toddler walk happily into her classroom each morning is a testament to the environment they've created for her. Our oldest has grown tremendously during her time here. Ms. Angel, Ms. Layla, and now Ms. Kris have helped her build confidence, independence, and a love of learning. As she gets ready for Pre-K, I know the foundation they've helped build will stay with her long after she leaves. The leadership team deserves recognition too. Ms. Autumn, Ms. Raquel, and Ms. Alana do an incredible job communicating with families and creating a center that feels welcoming, organized, and genuinely caring. And then there are all the little things that make a difference--the warm greetings, the fun activities, the familiar faces throughout the building, and even Ms. Robin in the kitchen, who somehow became one of my daughter's favorite people. Ms. Katie has also been a constant source of love and encouragement for both of our girls over the years. As two full-time working parents, we appreciate the dependable hours and support this center provides. But more than anything, we're grateful for the people. Daycare is hard work, and parents are trusting you with the most important people in their lives. This team never takes that responsibility lightly. Our girls feel special here. They're excited to go every morning. They come home happy with stories and excited to tell us about their day. I wish I could list every teacher and staff member who has impacted our family, because it truly takes a village. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this one.

Given our children's ages, we have experience in the Nido, Toddler, and Children's House programs and would highly recommend all three. We have also attended the Westlake Guidepost location and have experience at two other daycares prior due to moving, so we feel we have a good breadth of experience from which to recommend Guidepost Bee Cave. The new head of school, Mike, who took over this summer, is nothing short of amazing. He has a young child himself and has an operational background that really shines in every aspect of quality and consistency at the school. Other reviews mention staff turnover, which I can confidently state is a challenge for every childcare center (certainly for all four we have attended). What makes Guidepost Bee Cave stand out in this area is 1) knowledge transfer about your child's unique needs 2) training of new guides 3) quick action to remediate challenging staff 4) transparent communications. These are all due to Mike's leadership and we have been amazed at the quality care our children receive as a result. The guides care so much about the children and frequently communicate observations through written notes, photos, and verbal check-ins at pickup and dropoff. Even the guides at the school who don't directly oversee our children know our children by name and always speak with them, even if our child is acting shy lol. We particularly appreciate Ms. Mackenzie, Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Ashraf, Ms. Lekha, Ms. Christine, Ms. Debra and Ms. Shanice, but there are really too many wonderful guides to name. I highly recommend this school for anyone wanting to raise confident, independent little people in an environment where practical life skills are taught and "I can do it myself" is a mantra.

I drive all the way to Bee Cave from Westlake because we love it so much! Finding a school around here that supports both a younger and an older child can be challenging, but the Prep truly excels at meeting kids where they are while helping them grow and learn! The balance of play and education is outstanding. Each day, our 4yo comes home excited to share what she did all day! The teachers know how to keep learning fun while still building real skills, and it shows in our kids' confidence and development. The administrative team deserves special praise. They are incredibly organized, communicative, and genuinely invested in every family's experience. Whether it's daily updates, thoughtful check-ins, or seamless handling of schedules and transitions, the admin staff sets the tone for a warm and well-run environment. The school and its amenities is my fave part and why I won't ever leave! Bright, clean, and purposefully designed, the classrooms and play areas create an inviting space where children can explore safely and comfortably. No other school in the area has a tech room, multi-purpose room (gym), cafeteria, SEVERAL Playgrounds, and an amazing splash pad! We're grateful to have found a school that provides such a nurturing, enriching environment for both of our kids. Highly recommend to any family in the Bee Cave area!

We have sent all three of our children to the Prep and were one of the first families to sign up when they opened. The past few years have been good overall but the level of care has dropped significantly and my youngest baby was injured several times in a very short period of time. Based on the goodwill they have built over the years with us we continued to give the Prep opportunities to improve and make changes to keep my son safe. They said they would and completely failed. The photos below show the final straw before we removed our baby and another child from the Prep. Unfortunately, there were also other incidents were my child was injured and I was told by Prep management that "they would keep a better eye on him." We are reasonable parents with three children and understand that from time to time one of our kids may get a bump or scratch. The injuries my son suffered however go beyond anything acceptable. We repeatedly asked to speak with the owner, Heather White, but she never contacted us. We also asked to see the video of what happened, but the request went ignored. We filed a police report so hopefully they will have better luck getting the videos. Our feeling at this point is the owner is only in it to open as many locations/franchises as possible and make a buck. Clearly could not care less about responding to parents, oh sorry "paying customers," and even more disturbing could not care less about keeping the babies we are entrusting them with safe. If you are considering the Prep I suggest you instead leave your children with a pack of wild coyotes in the woods--they'll probably be safer...

They are excited every day to tell me about what they've learned, friends, teachers, art projects, and outside time. My older son has blossomed socially. My younger son is so proud of his work that he often takes it out of his bag at pick-up time to show me. The school has fun events and learning activities throughout the year. Big hits with my kids included water play days in the summer, growing a garden, planting flowers, new playground equipment, crafts, solar system lessons, and special events for Mother's and Father's Day. The teachers and the owner, Irma, are fantastic. You could not ask for better teacher communication, and Irma even responds on nights and weekends. They send parents lesson plan information and suggest related at-home activities. I love that they use an app to share daily updates and pictures. They've captured some beautiful images of my sons, sometimes together. I don't know how they do it, but the staff has never lost one item sent to school. Finally, the hours for A New Day are better than most schools for working parents.
