We love primrose! We have a toddler kiddo and a newborn on the way and it will be going to primrose too. Changing classes is always a struggle for myself seeing new teachers and change. But they work with the kids and my kiddo learns so much with each new class. My child is genuinely excited to see the little friends that have been made! If you do come across a concern staff takes you seriously, and it is resolved. They are always friendly to the grandparents that pick up my kiddo too, and know who they are. read more

My 6 month old has been attending Primrose School of Richardson for 4 months now and we have been so impressed with how much development growth she has done. During our 6 month check up our physician was so impressed with how well she is doing developmentally wise and said that she is so advanced for her age. My son Greyson has been attending the school for almost a year and we couldn't be more pleased. The school is organized, serves excellent food, communicates very well, and treats my child as an important individual. Greyson started Primrose at 21 months old. He had been staying home with mom up until this point. We decided to put him in school was because he wasn't yet talking. It was so hard to drop my baby off for the first time. But the teachers were great, they really helped him have a smooth transition to "daycare". (And me too!) It was only a few days later he said his first words and expressed that he wanted to go to school. Each week he shows more progress and I attribute it all to this school and their excellent teachers. My son is especially fond of Ms. Erica and we are too- everyday she reports any new words he says during their classroom activities. This is very comforting for a family that has spent 2 years watching and waiting for speech development to occur. This simple act helps us to engage him at home. My child is so happy here and we are happy we chose this school! read more

Primrose of Richardson has been as high as 5 stars (when we first signed up) and would likely be rated at 1 star if it were not for a few good teachers that really care about the students. They continue to charge even when they deny the service they are being paid for because they shut down a class because 1 student had covid. I understand shutting down, but this is the cost of doing business in the current environment. Yes you read this correctly. They charge even when they completely close down a classroom. They expect to be paid even when not providing the service that allows parents to work. They asked everyone to pick their kids up early on Tuesday. I suggested that they charge everyone 40% of the normal charge since they provided just under 40% of the service we signed up for (they are closed 3 out of 5 days this week). They refused and stated they will charge the full amount. read more

We recently joined Primrose and continued to be impressed with their dedication to the children. Everyone form the front staff, to the teachers, to the owner are extremely friendly and welcoming. We have been at Primrose Richardson in the older toddler classroom for about a month and we absolutely love it. Our son was a little hesitant to change schools at first, but he powered through it and by the end of his 2nd week he was a pro. We are very pleased with the communication between us and the school administrators. We have also noticed that our son eats a lot of different variety of foods. Not only is he branching out with his food choices, he is learning new things everyday. We couldn't be more happy with our decision to enroll our son here! read more

As a nurse and a parent, I will never recommend anyone to attend this daycare, especially with a young infant. We were there for a month and it was traumatizing for everyone involved. Everyday there were multiple children screaming. They allowed my 2 month old baby to sleep in a bouncing seat numerous times. They swaddled her, which is against the Texas Law, multiple times and they DO NOT practice safe sleep. All of the staff would talk down to us and never had anything positive to say. They informed me numerous times that I need to "stop holding my baby so she would not refuse her naps"....again, at 2 months old. My final straw, I arrived earlier than normal to pick up my baby and witnessed her class outside, so I sat and observed the teachers picking up every single infant by either one arm or by their onesies. I immediately went inside and ask to talk to the Director. This conversation was full of gaslighting, as I was told that what I was seeing was not correct and that they observe the teachers picking up babies weekly and they've never had this issue. I immediately withdrew attendance and was told that I still must give a 30 day notice and must pay, even though this is a health and safety issue. The mental and emotional distress this daycare has caused will take a lot of time and work to repair. I hope my experience helps people make the right decision to NOT bring their children here. read more

Our baby went here for a short time before we pulled them out. We were not happy with the director or several things we witnessed while our baby went there. The program is very much set in stone, and as everyone knows, babies are not one schedule fits all. They do not care - either your baby fits the program or not. They tell you when your baby will go down to one nap, when they'll stop bottles, and what they will eat and when. We also did not like that they are not willing to work with parents on anything, a bit of gaslighting making us feel as though we were asking too much for our own child's needs. Every morning at drop off, the place was filled with screaming babies, and every day at pick up - same thing. First time parents - this is NOT NORMAL! I personally would not recommend this facility to anyone. We're so glad we pulled our baby out at a young enough age to not be extremely effected, but now seeing her thriving in her new daycare - wish we would have made the decision sooner when we knew things were not right. read more

We are so happy to be part of the Primrose family! Both of our sons attend Primrose Richardson and we could not be happier with the care that they receive. Our three year old has learned so much since starting there two years ago. His wonderful teachers have done such an incredible job of getting him out of his shell and he LOVES going to school. Our youngest son started at Primrose at 12 weeks old and I was very nervous about leaving him so young but from the moment I met the Young Infant teachers, I knew he would be in good hands. The staff is wonderful and anytime we have had any questions or concerns, Gloria has been more than willing to meet with us and help us to find solutions. This Day care is the worst school I have ever experienced. Everything is about money. You need to put $150 for a position. And they asked for a seasonal enrollment fee. The most expensive day care and nothing good about the care. Half-day weekly tuition is 215. I saw my baby crying every time I picked her up. The teacher just put her in the crib and let her cry. The front desk staff is not very friendly. We left eventually. read more

We put our son in Primrose when he was about 5months old and it was the worst experience ever for us as new parents. The teachers were not caring. I worked right across the street from the school and every time I walked in to check on my baby I found him crying and unattended. Although I asked them to give me a call if he has been crying for more than 15 minutes, I never got a call and sometimes I go in and other teacher told me he has been crying for like 45 minutes!!i tried to give my son time to get used to the experience and the school kept assuring us that it will get better after 2 months of misery I pulled him out and took him to another school, and our life changed. He turned to such a happy baby. I would never even think of putting my kid in this branch of Primrose. I heard good things about other locations. read more

I downgraded my review to 2-star because this school managed to lose my kid's favorite teacher. The teacher specifically told us that she felt the management of this school was terrible, there was no sufficient training for the young teachers, and they did absolutely nothing when some seasoned and beloved teachers/staffs left. As a result of this teacher's departure, a lot, I mean at least 5 kids that I know of are leaving this school. That's at least 5 of my kid's friends we are talking about! He is really upset about it once he understood what's going on. read more

We have two children, a 3 year old and a 4 year old, who started at this preschool in July. They used to go to a home daycare, which we loved, but we felt like it was time to add academic curriculum to their lives. It was a hard transition at first (nobody likes to see their kids cry!) but they both love it now. After one month of being at Primrose, my 3 year old was fully potty trained and my 4 year old was able to write his name, both of which were exciting to see. I'd recommend checking it out. I believe they also offer a free "discovery day" which is a trial 1/2 day for your child. read more

We started at Primrose in June after leaving the last school we had been with for nearly 3 years. What prompted the move to Primrose was lack of communication from our last school and deterioration in his care. I am so happy to say we have not had those issues at Primrose! I am kept current with what my son is doing every day and the teachers talk to you, along with the front office staff. Finding a school where we feel that our special needs son is "safe" was a key priority for us.  Besides their great curriculum, I found that our child has finally come out of his shell and seems to engage with other kids a lot more than ever. This is the worse Primrose I have ever been to. The turnover for this place is Horrible, you never know who's going to be taking care of your child. Every day my child has a different teacher in his room. All the teachers look unhappy. My child is always starving when he comes home. Beware it's a place for business not love and support. I don't think this franchise owner even cares what's happening to her business because it has not been changes. I can't wait for the new primrose to open in Richardson. The front desk is the worse and not very Welcoming especially Ms.Julie and Ms.Gloria. As I was walking in with My child I saw the way Ms.Julie was talking to her staff as if she was dumb and not in a friendly Manner. read more

We have our three year old daughter and one year old daughter at Primrose. Our oldest has been there about a year and a half and we really love it. When our youngest started at four months, she wasn't taking a bottle yet. It was something I had been working with her on for a while and I was very stressed about it. After a few days with her, her sweet teachers were able to get her to start taking one and it was such a weight off our shoulders. All of the teachers and staff know our girls' names and you can tell they really love them and love what they do. The attention and kindness they show to the kids is something that is invaluable. read more

My son just turned two and has been at this school since January 2016. The location is perfect for me because I work minutes away. I also like the new Director and feel that she has made some changes to the school that take it to the next level. The curriculum is great and the school works with you to help your child as they approach different milestones. My son has friends in his class that he looks forward to seeing every day. read more

This is my daughter's first daycare, and It used to be a good place. I really appreciate the caring and loving of Ms. Diana and Ms. Michelle. They helped my daughter a lot. But one month later, the teacher changed( one is quit and another one left for one months), everything changed. I can't receive the art work of my daughter every week( I used to receive what she did once a week), I can't see the picture of her daily life for half month( they said it's App down), and I can't see her smiling there. I can accept all of that. But In her last 4 days here, she got injured in three days.(lip is bleeding, chin is broken, and arm is bitten and have serious bruise). I didn't got the incidence report for the biting and obvious bruise on her arm. I see the serious biting and bruise area until at home. The Director know nothing about what happened when I asked her the next day. I wanna quit then, but I still send my daughter here another day to try. But on the last day, when I stopped by to see my daughter, I see she was closed in the changing diaper area with door closed but without teacher inside, and all of other children and teachers are out side of the changing area, waiting for going outside to play, they told me my daughter is inside for changing. Excuse me? Changing without any teacher inside but with door closed? I admire every teacher and staff here and I understand their hard working. But I can't understand what happened on my baby and I can't bear it anymore. I wanna quit. When I collected my daughter's thing, they can't find her sun cream the first week I bring here. I don't know if she used it before. That's not an important thing, but after all of what happened, I lost my heart. The Director said I am overacted, and told me I need pay the fee of another two weeks because I didn't notify them for leave in advance. Sorry, I can't accept it. What happened on my daughter Is not I expected, I didn't realize it's unsafe an not loving area in advance. read more

I wish there was a way to review different aspects of this Primrose location. I feel that the teachers really care for the kids and would give them 5 stars. The facility is nice and clean. The issue with this place is the Director. I have witnessed Mrs Gloria yelling at a teacher in the hallway completely demeaning her. It is hard for me to understand how I can expect the teachers to treat the children appropriately if they are treated this way by the director. There has been talk for years about how the teachers are treated poorly by her and yet the owners choose to ignore it. I believe a change in the director position would do wonders for this place by increasing moral and decreasing fear. Even as a parent I do not feel that I can trust her enough to discuss any concerns I may have. Read the review from the employee. I have seen this for years. My preschooler and 1 year old attend this school since august 2016 and it has been great. We've had experience with other primrose schools and they are great. The staff and teachers are great, caring, loving, and my children love them, yet they have lots of movement of teachers all the time. I'd like more stability for the kids. I wanted to love this school I gave it every chance in the world . The facility and teachers that stay are great. Primrose is an excellent school franchise that lives up to high standards but this school falls short and has a long way to go to get to that level. There is a high turnover rate and lack of communication between leadership and parents. I wish my child had more of a curriculum while there as I feel it more play based than actual learning. There was never a welcoming feeling from the front desk staff which to me was important in a school. Sometimes I felt like they forgot we were the paying customers. Finding childcare and having peace of mind is vital for working parents and I always felt my child was safe but could not comfortably communicate with management any concerns I had. This school is run like a business not a place that actually cares about the progression and individual needs and development of children . They do not asses children based on their developmental milestones and therefore children get left behind. Good luck in your childcare search ! read more
