I have been a member for almost a year now and I'm addicted to the workouts. I was very scared at first to join because I was very out of shape but that changed pretty quickly once I joined. The workouts are different every day and are one hour long. The coaches are very knowledgeable and attentive. The location is what attracted me first since I live nearby and it is convenient for me. The prices are relatively the same as other crossfit gyms in Orlando. They offer morning classes as early as 6am Monday to Friday and have afternoon and evening classes. They offer yoga a couple times a week and have an olympic weight lifting class also which helps you understand the movements and technique. There is a free class offered on Saturday mornings for new people. Saturday there are two morning classes and closed on Sundays. The great thing about this place is that you can be totally out of shape or an elite athlete and you can do whatever the workout is. All of the workouts are scaled to whatever your capabilities are so do not let your level of fitness stop you from giving it a try. read more

I have been a member at CrossFit FireBase (CFFB) for almost 1 year now. I am in the BEST shape of my life! I have run marathons, tri's, spin, cardio-fitness, played tons of sports, etc- but NEVER have I been pushed this hard! It was exactly what I was looking for! It can seem intimidating at first, but as soon as I walked into the gym, the owners were super welcoming and friendly... I felt as though I had been coming there for years! They have free workouts on Saturdays at 10:30 for first-timers to give it a try and see if it is something that you would be interested in. CrossFit is a combination of olympic lifting, cardio, core strength, nutritional guidance and a bit of gymnastics. You can find a ton of YouTube videos online to see how intense some of the workouts can be. At CFFB the trainers will push you, but to each person's individual level and goals. I have never felt so sore I couldn't walk the next day, just sore to know that I worked really hard! Additionally, it feels like a family there. I have met some really great and interesting people - from all different walks of life! Additionally, there are CF gyms all over the world, so when I travel (quite often for work) I am never far from a workout! This is pretty much the best gym/workout you can do. a) I dont like being at the gym for days. Most of the workouts are 45 minutes are less b) Almost never the same workout. c) They know how to work around injuries d) Everyone there is super nice and knowledgable It's little more expensive, but you actually get results and have fun. I wold say Marci L's review is dead on. Give it a try, no matter what shape or you ar in or if you have old injuries. I have more injuries than most and still am getting a lot out of it. read more

I don't like writing reviews, but this box made me mad enough to write one. I'm here for a month so I called the box and talked to Bobbi Joe. She suggested I show up on Wednesday to check out the box and meet one of the trainers. I arrive Wednesday. There is a class in progress with 2 instructors. One gives me a nod and the other looks over once in a while. The class ends and I am standing by waiting to be greeted. After a couple of minutes, I walk over to them and introduce myself. I still don't get a real greeting. The main trainer asks me to come back because a filming is going on. I told him that I was told to drop by today. He gives me shrug with a well I guess I could show you around attitude. No thanks man. I'm not asking for you to grovel at my feet but I'd like some acknowledgement and politeness. This is my first Crossfit, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I can certainly say that FireBase is perfect for me. It's tough to find that right mix of direction and motivation from trainers, but also the freedom to kind of do the workouts on your own. At no point have I felt like I didn't have access to direction, support, or encouragement. All the while, I've been able to get in my zone and get the WOD done. The classes are just the right size in my experience, though Saturdays are definitely larger and team-based. Crossfit Firebase was recommended to me to drop in while I was in Orlando for 17 days working. The phone was answered when I called, and my questions were answered when I asked. This box was awesome!!! I enjoyed every single WOD, they push you to your limits, and they have a lot to offer. I love my CF community and this box proves how great the community can be. The trainers here are AMAZING! I am over 50 and so out of shape. I signed up for the 6 week New You Challenge. I am about to start the 6th week and I can actually run! I haven't been able to run for a long time. I can jump rope and lift some weights. I am feeling stronger and not so out of breath all the time. I have hope if I continue I could actually get in decent shape and keep up with my 10 year old. The trainers are so encouraging, so accepting of where your at, and so good at getting you to stretch you to get fit. I am never bored. A big detrement in trying to get in shape by myself at the Y. I dropped in to CF Firebase while visiting Orlando. The staff and coaches were very friendly and welcoming. They encouraged me during the workout and also checked on me at a point that I probably looked very tired I've been to gyms before that didn't offer this simple gesture - that goes a long way for me. The group of athletes were hard working and super friendly as well. The gym was awesome - clean, organized and comfortable. I hope to continue to drop in to Firebase when I'm in Orlando, as I go pretty often. They made the process simple.
