These guys were great -- one of the least stressful moves of my life. They communicated well in advance, showed up on time, and worked quickly, carefully, and well. It was a complicated day for us so we were slightly less available to oversee their work than we might have been, but they did not require oversight. They moved everything without breakage or damage and were clear to point out pre-existing issues before they moved anything so we all knew what shape the furniture was in before they touched it. Prince Movers were awesome. They moved our TH from Fairfax to Ashburn. We had 4 guys (Marcial, Elder, Pio, Lorenzo) and they worked tirelessly....we had a lot of stuff. We had so much in fact that they had to load, unload in Ashburn, go back to Fairfax for another load and return. They did this all in one very long, warm day with literally zero complaint. They took amazing care of both our possessions and our houses. They wrapped furniture well and put out runners on all stairways and floors. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had a last minute complication with my previous movers and I was in a panic. I found Prince Movers from great Yelp reviews and called Karey immediately. She was so quick and responsive, sending me over everything I needed. They luckily had a crew available and Marcial, Angel, and Joel were AMAZING! I don't know how they did it, but they were able to carry heavy furniture up a flight of stairs without looking winded. Nothing was damaged during the move and they ensured all valuables were wrapped and cushioned. I already had the boxes ready to go (minus a ton of bags they also placed/secured into the truck) but they noted they did offer services to hang up clothes in boxes for a small fee. These guys were awesome. They came in packed my six bedroom townhouse (four floors) in only around four hours. The next day they moved everything from 8am-5pm. Had to carry three beds down three flights of stairs and three beds down two flights of stairs, in addition to a bunch more stuff. They were very good about laying down runners and not damaging walls or furniture. I also had a 77" OLED tv which they removed from its mount and boxed up, and a bunch of home stereo and speaker equipment and two gaming pcs. Huge canvas paintings, a rack of dumbbells from 15lbs to 65lbs, and an upright piano. It's got to be backbreaking work but they are so efficient and also nice guys. I think out of 90(!!) boxes and 40 pieces of furniture and all the electronics, the only damage to any single item was a couple of scratches on an IKEA bookshelf (which we know is not exactly quality furniture). Highly recommend Jon and his company. This was my first experience with using a moving company and I did a lot of research. Prince Mover's is affordable and out beats any price in this area. Jon was very quick in responding to my emails and got me scheduled right away. He was upfront with all costs. He estimated my move would be 2.5 hours and his crew to the minute stayed in that time frame. Mario (one of the movers) called me between 1:00 and 2:00 exactly when Jon said he would call. Mario and his teammate to start off were gems. Very sweet and professional. packed my stuff efficiently and quickly. When we got to my apartment they unloaded my stuff just as quickly and asked where my boxes should go rather than just dropping them anywhere. Extra kudos because it turned out one of my dressers didn't fit in my bedroom and they brought it down to my basement for storage. Responsive for our move in October from a 3800 sq foot, 4 bedroom house (for size comparison). However they underestimated how long it would take and spent waaay more time moving than expected. We used them for both packing the first day and moving the second day. On the day of the move multiple items were broken or crushed. By the end of the night they just dumped boxes wherever without looking at the label. I think they would have been fine/perfect for a smaller move but anything beyond a full 3,500 sq ft home would probably be too much for them. They had poor time management skills and spent time putting padding under furniture vs actually moving. Given the price (over $5k) and expectations they set we expected a far more premium service. Edit: to be transparent they did recommend 2 trucks. We asked if 1 would be enough and they changed it accordingly. However on the day of packing we recognized how much time it was taking and requested to add on another truck. The lead packer said that wouldn't be a problem but the day of only one truck showed. I'm not faulting them for the one truck, maybe a little for the lack of communication that another truck wasn't available, but really because there was time when the truck was idle and empty where the crew was "assembling." By the end of the night they were so rushed and the boxes were everywhere that it made it impossible to check all of the boxes for broken items. Again just not the premium experience we were expecting. read more
