If this technique could be used for every child suffering with anxiety and ADHD I can only imagine…read morehow much easier their lives would be. For the past 6 years I have been on wait lists for therapy, counseling, evaluations, etc. I spent thousands on private tutoring, several thousand on counseling sessions, multiple co-payments on evaluations for occupational therapy. After finally getting a neuropsych evaluation and an assessment at schools - was able to get a 'diagnosis' of ADHD, anxiety, short term memory deficiency and extremely low recall speed. From there I discussed it with someone that had used Dr. Carlton who was very happy and so I immediately signed up for a free evaluation. His brain mapping was able to come up with a treatment plan which he said would take several sessions to notice a difference. My child and I both signed up to do sessions. After a few sessions I definitely noticed I was *way* calmer in my "moments of frustration", things that bothered me before didn't seem to be such a big deal anymore. I also was sleeping better! But let me talk about my child. Within maybe 4 sessions (at most) - out of nowhere, suddenly the executive functioning struggles and anxiety were WAY less. Doing homework on their own, remembering assignments, packing lunch the night before, "planning" the mornings out before school, not being in a panic rush about everything. Within the same week homework assignment grades start coming back. An "A" - Have never seen one of those! Another "A" - Wow! Some B's where "Fs" were last month. What has happened! Remarks from teacher that they are noticing something is different! This is amazing! I knew it had to be this because not a single other thing had changed. There was a time (almost 2 weeks) of flu illness where no sessions were done (about half way through the series of the first 20) and about that time the anxiety crept back in, yelling/being upset about little things - but as soon as we were able to get back on track, that went away. We did sessions at home, which is a little easier (for scheduling) but harder (because life gets in the way, so we were not as diligent as we should have been and would have had even more astonishing results if stayed on track). We are not done yet (will be doing another round of 10 after a new brain mapping) but I wanted to share the absolute amazing success we've had - what a difference it's made in our family dynamics, a more peaceful environment and more joy because the 'fog' has gone away and we can be more present in the moment. I can't say enough great things, I would highly recommend every single person that even thinks "maybe" this could help them to give it a try. I love that he really just wants to help people and offered us the 0% financing in-house making it affordable (cost is actually les than I expected). We did buy a cheap (used) laptop (for $50 on marketplace) to use for the at-home to have just a dedicated device since my Mac wasn't compatible with the program, but the equipment is otherwise on loan (I paid a deposit). I only wish we had found this sooner but am super grateful that I did find it though I feel bad when I see others suffering from similar and think "if they'd just go give this a try!!!" - so hopefully this review helps anyone that may be on the fence about it.

The staff only made it worse--cold, dismissive, and dripping with attitude, like I was a burden just for showing up, with absolutely no warmth, empathy, or professionalism. For a place that's supposed to help people, the lack of care is shocking; the whole experience felt disorganized, disrespectful, and honestly embarrassing for a "health" center. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that treats patients like humans.

Then she walked away saying you will go to waiting room next, I said now , she said yes hateful, so went to waiting room to be waiting past my appointment time , and I was told Dr Patel has to leave early so I could only take 1 halcium instead of 2 so then why am I still waiting? Then another nurse comes to waiting room to give me the second pill, I said I thought I could only take one , she nicely said I'm giving you the 2nd one because I'll be in the room with you , so I said ok because At least you are nice, so now I'm waiting again so who knows what will happen next , If you haven't been here yet I would keep looking , office staff and the Mexican nurse is so rude, I will definitely be looking for another place to go to where you are actually cared for, I see men are treated better so maybe that's the problem..I also saw same thing happen with office staff , they get off the phone with a patient and talk about them not in good way, come on now you can be heard and it's really wrong and sad

At that appointment I was seen by a PA who said since the esi did not work they would not do the trigger point injections. No understandable reason why. Five minute appointment they charged my insurance over $300 for and really could have just told me that over the phone. I really don't like that my dr. referred me for two different procedures and I only received one.

They could have told him that when his primary physician made his appointment, but it gets worse. His insurance plan verified this practice is in the network and agreed to accept his insurance plan. This callous disregard for patients is disgusting and inflicts further harm on those needing these services. Avoid this dodgy, mercenary Dr. and his uncaring staff.

Not only that I'm so frustrated but hurt by the insensitive of the NEOUROLOGY CENTER IN FAIRFAX,…read moreVIRGINIA employees. This office should be ashamed of themselves on how they deal with patients. I visited Dr Richard C. Seetedt MD few months ago. The doctor seems caring, helpful, takes time to talk, answer questions which is always appreciated. To make that appointment took a lot of time and stress with this office. I requested medication for my migraine headache which was given to me. When I call back to have a refill they told me that I have to make another appointment (2 months waiting period) Over a month ago I started experiencing twitching, weakness on my facial muscles as well as eye drooping. I went to see my PCP who told me to go to the dentist and then to the Neurologist, so I contact the office. First I waited for more than 3 minutes until the receptionist answer my call, I gave her my name given her my name, date of birth and told her my situation she tells to wait, instead on placing me on hold she disconnected the call. I was hoping that she will call me back but she never call back. I called back and tried to make the appointment, I told another receptionist my situation and she gave an appointment until October. I told her that I can't wait until October then she transferred my call to the office's nurse who told me to make and appointment for a NEW ISSUE. I called back and the receptionist told me that October is the earliest appointment that she can give me. The absurd amount of stress and effort. Multiple phone calls, call backs.... was just a terrible experience. I tried to call other doctors in the area with no success as for new patient the waiting list was between November and December. I called the NEOUROLOGY CENTER IN FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA and requested an appointment with a different doctor, the receptionist told me if my situation was an emergency to go to the nearest ER. I told her again that I wanted to make an appointment with another doctor since Dr. Seetedt was not available, her response was that it is the policy of this practice to ask PERMISSION to see another doctor and by the time the PERMISSION is granted will be time for my appointment in October. I hung up and cried out of anger, how can people dictates who to see...is this because of INSURANCE MONEY??? . They have to MD's at this office ...I don't understand why as a patient can't decide who to see!!! I asked again to speak with the Nurse and she told me that it was nothing that she can do as my doctor was on vacation. I ask her to see another doctor ... her response was "you have to ask for PERMISSION" I can't help you go to the ER. I told them several times that I was told that I may have Bell's palsy, there response was. Sorry we can't help you. I called my PCP to request for a list of neurologist, finally I was able to get an appointment with another doctor. The diagnosis: Bell's palsy I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Summary: would not ever use Doctor Sumin Ko's services again…read more Have used the services of Doctor Sumin Ko over the last few years when I have visited the area. Doctor Ko had previously provided me professional care with a level of trust that I had rarely seen in the medical profession. Until recently. I experienced broken trust with what I can not other than infer as callous disregard for my health and well being. Under the care of Doctor Ko, I suffered the most severe reaction that no one should be left to endure. I can no longer find any reason to have faith in Doctor Sumin Ko's understanding of pharmacology. The only demonstration of professional grasp of the field of expertise which I experienced at Better Life Pain Clinic is on a level of the most simplest of terms. The Better Life Pain Clinic emblem, which is not unlike a flame, is quite suitable to the circumstances of my experience with this pain management clinic. My co-pay was $20, I think. It's been 20+ years. I paid the co-pay. I waited quite a long time and when I finally got into the room I waited another 15 minutes. He comes in, doesn't greet me, looks at me and says something like, "if you're here for drugs, forget it." Ya see, I was in my late 40's at the time, hair way past my shoulders, and a few arm tattoos. He judged me by my looks, not my medical problem. I told him where my constant pain was and he gave me a script for Motrin 400. I was laughing inside.. He said come back and see me in 4 weeks. I went to the receptionist and made another appointment. About 2 weeks later I got a bill from them for the entire visit less the $20 I paid. I drove there to find out what the problem was. Then the same lady told me they didn't take the Blue Cross plan I had. I told her she told me he did. That's not my fault, it's yours. She said I still owed the money. I told her I'd pay on my next visit. I went home and called my insurance company. I was told that Oraee USED TO be but they canceled his contract. She said she can't tell me why, but he's NOT a participating physician. The next day I drove there again. I spoke with the same lady again. This time she was rude and started raising her voice. I told her to cancel my next appointment. Then she asked me for the money I owed. I told her to tell Oraee to take me to court and sue me. It's been about 20 years and I never heard anything. A few years after my experience, my now deceased sister-in-law, came to stay with us for awhile. She lived in a different state. She was already under doctor's care for pain management. She chose Oraee even after I told her my experience. I took her to her appointment. She had several empty bottles of the meds she was on. I waited for her and when she came out she had several scripts, all were controlled substances. So, I'm a man and he wouldn't give me anything but Motrin 400... but a 40ish yr old single female goes in and he gives her way more meds than anyone person needs. STAY AWAY!
