i discovered i have a leak in my sprinkler system. i blow it out every year. this spring i noticed alittle algea on the outside piping; i removed the end cap and discovered it was pressurized; the water shutoff valve was faulty.so i call them up and they replaced the sprinker shut-off valve.- same day repair, plus a $25 discout card- no expiration date. ive used these guys before to replace my water heater. here's the interesting part: i had a minor flood, and FH FURR replace the main water shut-off valve and installed a presure regulater ($800). Atlas plumbing installed the original shut-off valve for the sprinkler. both of them cut the basement insulation cover to do their work. Only these guys took the time to repair the torn/cut insulation. professional job. also 1/3 the price of FH FURR. read more

The owner, John, is a great plumber. I had a stopped sink that was clogged for a few months (we had tried to clean the trap ourselves to no avail). A plumber and helper from Prince William Plumbing came over and got right to work. I had a few small jobs lined up, and they went to work changing a faucet, fixing a leak in the basement and the sink. They weren't able to unclog the sink and had to leave without fixing it. They had already spent 3 hours at my house and left without having me pay anything for the service they had already performed because to them, it wasn't a finished job yet. I rescheduled with John for the next week, he came and was able to clean out the vent by accessing it on the roof. Fixed the clog and we were in business. I appreciated the work and the fact that he didn't want any payment until the job was fully done to my satisfaction. I will definitely use them again. read more

Arrived exactly as scheduled, John Townsend was extremely friendly and quick to identify and quote the problem with our water main leak. The rate was much cheaper than the competition (Way cheaper than FH Furr), and offers the same year-long warranty. He was ready to fix it on the spot. Set up a meeting for someone to come out to give a quote on a large project. My husband called 2 weeks after visit and was told all the paperwork was on someone's desk and they just needed to put everything together. ONE WEEK after my husband's call I get an email, not a phone call, that they have been awarded a very large project and would not have time for me. No quote was ever given. We had Prince William Plumbing in Nokesville, VA replace our well pump. This was done in a timely manner and seemed as though it was neatly and professionally installed. The problem came when we had to get our well water tested as a condition to sell our house. The water showed a high bacteria count, which required remediation. The water testing company brought to light a common practice of dragging the well line across a yard which could cause a high bacterial count. I called the plumbing company to question the procedure and was informed by the owner that it may be possible, but mostly he considered that sliding the pump back into the well was more of a problem than dragging it across a lawn. My true issue here is why were we not informed of this prior to replacement and if this is generally a problem why is it not disclaimed and built into the pricing to have the well chlorinated at the time of installation. I'm reluctantly paying this $409.60, on top of a $1375.00 well pump installation. If we hadn't been selling our house, we would have never had the water tested after the pump was replaced and ran the risk of getting sick from drinking contaminated water. read more
