Really appreciated Diego's work - installing Insinkerator, fixed water flow pressure in bathroom faucet and fill valve in toilet tank. But more - his proactive attention to details and pragmatic recommendations to solve problems. He detected the smell of gas and brought in his sensor to thoroughly check. It turned out to be a leak at the back of my stove, which is why my sensor did not pick it up previously. He brought the gas valve out from behind dry wall, installed a new one so that it's to code and ready for a new stove to be easily installed. What sets these guys apart is rather than wasting your time with a visit, where you might be forced to spend more money on additional visits, Hydro Rooters will actually read your problem and look at the pictures, and point you in the right direction to get the job completed efficiently. These guys are great! They've come out several times and have solved a few plumbing issues for us. What I especially appreciate: *Take the time to listen, ask questions, answer questions, and offer possibilities and education *Provide info on what is the least expensive option and what a more costly option would be *Work with us when we have done some of the labor ourselves (without being irritated or laughing at us about what we did or did not do right) You may be able to find cheaper plumbers (though their prices are perfectly reasonable), but you will not find anyone more willing to help you arrive at the solution that is truly best for your house and budget. Most recently, Jon came out to put in a studor vent that he had recommended months ago. The drain kept clogging and it was time to go with his recommendation. Jon was the definition of professional, from start to finish. In what proved to be a difficult leak to diagnose, he took his time and tried everything under the sun. He ultimately discovered two issues that needed two very different solutions, one easy and one much more extensive. While repairing the major leak, he continuously looked for more potential issues to address after the space had been demo'd to avoid future issues that would involve similar disruption. He worked incredibly hard (17 hours over the course of 2 days) until the problem had been addressed and the space was put back together. He took all the time necessary to explain what the issue was, how it had been caused, provided a couple options for repair. If I could give Diego of Hydro Rooters 10 stars I would. We had Diego out to clear a clogged drain. From beginning to end, with booties on his feet, a tarp on the floor and a final sanitizing clean under the sink, he was meticulous! I have never had a plumber take such great care with our home. He began the procedure with a camera view of the drain and proceeded to use his equipment to snake the drain. He is so patient and took a couple of runs with the snake to make sure everything was clean. The final step was to put the camera back in and we saw a beautifully cleaned pipe. I called to schedule a service call in the morning to troubleshoot a plumbing issue and Diego was at my house by 1:30. Diego listed to my concerns as we tried to troubleshoot an issue where I thought there was a clog leading to odors backing up into our dishwasher (both our old dishwasher and a brand new dishwasher). He quickly ruled out a clog and worked to rule out other potential causes. He recommended replacing the old supply line that was not replaced during the installation of the new dishwasher. He did not push for using the camera scope and didn't think it was necessary. I also had Diego remove an old faucet and installed a new faucet on our pedestal sink. We had a basement floor drain back up from the main line. Jon was very polite on the phone and gave specific estimates for the scope and price of the work, as well as a very accurate estimate of when he would arrive. He took COVID precautions and explained the work he would be doing. He had the drain cleared quickly and went the extra mile (well, extra 100 feet) snaking the main line all the way out to the county sewer line. He showed me video from the pipe along the way and even helped to mark a buried clear out. I didn't use them for the Hydro Rooting service, but did ask for a quote and absolutely plan to have them come back to do that! read more

My main sewer line backed up into my basement. My regular plumber snaked the line, but recommended I hydro-jet it also, which is a service he did not offer and would have to sub out with a markup. I found these guys on Yelp and got in touch via email. First, they respond as quickly as they promise. They responded to my original email, and follow up emails, almost immediately. And when I called, they answered the phone right away. We booked the service for the following day, and they called when they were on their way and arrived right on time. When dealing with a potentially serious plumbing issue, responsiveness is incredibly important to me. Second, Diego and John are incredibly friendly and polite. They explained their pricing up front so there were no surprises, and it was far more competitive than what my plumber would have charged to sub out the work. They were incredibly neat, covering the floor with tarps, wiping down all the lines going into and out of the drain, using booties when they entered the house, and they left the work area cleaner than they found it. Third, they know what they are doing. They are organized and efficient, and did the work in a professional manner. Fourth, their equipment is top of the line. The ran a camera through my pipe several times - before, during and after the jetting. The camera image was crystal clear, and much better than what my original plumber used. I was able to look over their shoulders at the monitor and they explained everything they saw, what they were doing and what needed to be done. Fifth, the work was completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to my total satisfaction. They blasted off decades of scale buildup and other residue in the line, taking off rough edges, and smoothing and opening the line so there are no areas that might cause a clog. They left my sewer line in much better shape than when they found it. I could not recommend Hydo-Rooters more highly. read more

Well, Jon saved the day again! I had one of those bidet toilet seats that was broken, and so I removed it for a replacement (heated seat, no bidet). I thought I could handle capping the bidet water line, but it didn't go well at all. After FIVE hours of trying to fix it so it wouldn't leak, I gave up and texted Jon late at nite. He responded first thing in the morning, and came after his first appointment of the day. I was informed that replacement would require them to cut into the drywall, but that they may be able to repair the existing hose bibbs to avoid that - so I opted for repair instead of replacement.
