I give it two stars because the place looks nice, in particular the effect of the LED lighting. Otherwise, management is crooked. Eva promised many things but as soon as the contract was signed, the add-on's started piling up. What was supposed to be a $49 per person ended up $70 plus. Finally, we cancelled, they kept our deposit. Thank God we were able to find another place which was even nicer with an incredible easy going honest management. Had a sweet 16 at this venue. The venue is a nice setting however, not everything that is shown on their website is what they provide for your event. The website shows images of great decor and drapery but they do not provide that for you they recommend you to an outside vendor for that type of decor. So don't get your hopes up with those pictures unless you are willing to pay their outside vendors. They indicated they play videos when i first visited the venue for information and almost 3 months before the party they said they don't and i already had created my vision and idea for the party. Then they didn't say that they have their own agenda that you have to work around in terms of when you serve the food to your guest and if you don't want their time they try to persuade you to buy appetizers. It seemed like it was more them dictating how the order of your events should go instead of working with you to accomplish your vision for your event. They were not flexible and hard to work with its what they say not you. Even though the rep appears like she/he is willing to work with you their main intention is to get their way anyways. Then 3 months before the party the rep tells me i should call one of her outside vendors (event coordinator) . So i listen but due to the event being 3 months away that expense was not feasible. Exactly one week before the party i went to the venue and the event coordinator was there and the rep spoke to me about her again and "convinced" her to give a more reasonable price. So upon meeting her she appeared to want to help and had the experience with the venue. So i took her services because being that the venue rep was difficult and at time sarcastic i knew the event planner would serve as a middle ground to make things run more smoothly. However, everything she said she would do she barely did and although i told her my vision she didn't follow through completely . She didn't decorate according to the instructions given. However, it was nice it just did not go with vision i had in mind. I had given her a guest list to check people and know who to give the thank you gifts to but instead i found myself doing it when people were checking out. I mean without her i would of done it regardless but that is what we paid her for. Many times throughout the event we would find her promoting her services and meeting with other potential clients that were visiting the venue while my event that she was supposed to be coordinating was going on. Nonetheless, the place is nice, clean, well decorated and the platinum tiara package is worth the money . That part was amazing as well as the food . The food here is like a 5 star. All my guest loved the food and the candy bar. they were impressed by that. Got a lot of good feedback on that. However, guest stated that the waiter didn't greet them with the champagne as the package advertised along with the picture at the red carpet. But all together is was great. Lighting was amazing. Overall I would give the place 3.5 stars. Would i recommend to a friend? maybe i would think twice because of the bad behind the scenes planning with the rep of the venue. There aren't enough words to express how thankful and amazed I am with the service at Princess Manor. My daughter had her sweet sixteen here and I have gotten nothing but compliments on how elegant and organized everything went. The food was amazing, the vibe, the music, the staff service, the set up made the night of my daughter's Sweet 16 a dream come true. 1. Princess Manor- This place is amazing for the price. It is located in a multi-ethnic clean neighborhood which is a plus. Some of my guests may travel by train and there is a train stop on the same block as the venue. The train is underground so you don't hear it. The outer appearance of the venue is nothing to brag about. At the end of the block there is a pizza shop -_-. The lobby of the venue is a bit basic and so is their bridal suite but the actual reception hall is amazing! The lighting in the venue is AMAZING! the space is nice and is decorated with amazing chandeliers. There package includes different lighting options and sound system [DJ would have to bring laptop only]. There is also a large projection screen on the hall where you can play a slide show of some images. This is something we are VERY interested in so that is a plus. The two people we spoke with were extremely nice. They close at 8pm and they spoke with us until 8:30pm. They were so nice and warm to us that we didn't realize it was past closing time. The cake is not included in the package which is unusual and you get to come to a food tasting before signing with the venue, also unusual. Places I've gone to give you food tastings once you have signed with them. If we were to have a sit down or buffet dinner wedding on saturday night with 125 people, the cost will range from $8000 to $10,000. Amazing price. Valet parking for an addition $175. So, if you can ignore the pizza shop at the end of the block, this is the place to go. read more

My daughter had her Sweet 16 at Princess Manor on Saturday, January 24th, 2015....The experience exceeded expectations... An amazing experience... The food, drinks and service was excellent... The recommended house DJ-Gabe was prompt, avid professional and his mixing skills and song selection was off the hook...The kids had a blast... The lighting and ambiance was dreamy... Special effects smoke, the jumbo screen to display her pics was a plus... Valet parking service was perfect... Princess Manor pulled it off... The candy station with piña coladas and strawberry daiquiris was delicious... My daughter and my guess was totally satisfied and very much impressed... My fiance and I came to Princess Manor while looking for venues for our wedding reception. We were immediately surprised at how reasonable it was compare to other venues we saw in the area that weren't nearly as nice. Having things like food, decor and alcohol all included was also a huge plus. Eva worked with us to customize our event, there are various add-ons and packages that we used to used to tailor the event the crowd. As the day came closer, Eva & Matthew were especially helpful in answering our questions, reminding us of thing we may have forgotten or not considered and generally keeping everything on point. The event itself was perfect! The staff and crew were professional and focused and kept the evening flowing. Me and my wife were able to enjoy ourselves and not really have to worry about anything - it was all taken care of. The decor, the food and the overall experience was amazing - they even threw in a few surprises for us that really made the night special. Our friends, a lot of them locals, had an especially great time and were VERY excited to finally get to go to Princess Manor. I just had my daughter's sweet 15 on March 16,2013. This place was so beautiful the staff was amazing and so helpful I have to say that the person who assisted me from the beginning of the planning of this special event to the end she was there until the end of our party, her name is Eva and she was so amazing she help us so much and worked with us and our budget. I highly recommend this venue for any type of event, wedding or sweet 16/15 it's beyond gorgeous they have all types of decorations my daughter had a diamond girly with zebra and hot pink... Beyond beautiful , the food was fantastic, I had a mix of Italian and Latin food and I must say that the pernil or pork shoulder was exquisite just like a Spanish restaurant all and all I can't thank you guys enough. I recently had my daughter's Sweet 15 party at Princess Manor. Eva is a sweetheart! The customer service is excellent. Our host for the evening was Matthew and he was on point with every detail. I'm so grateful he was around. Eva recommended the DJ and he was so much fun! The food was delicious...kudos to the chef. The only downside is parking but I took care of it but paying for the valet so my guests would be comfortable. My husband and I got married here on October 1st 2011. It was an amazing wedding! And the reason I say that is because of the outstanding customer service provided by Eva, our banquet manager. Eva got our undivided attention the moment we met with her to see the place. She is such a sweetheart, very understanding and very cooperative. She worked with our budget and since day 1 she showed great desire in giving us what we wanted for our special day. Everytime we met with her we felt special. We felt pampered whenever we went to the catering hall, and this is something that was incredibly hard to find elsewhere. The first time that we went to visit Princess Manor, we didn't think we were going to book the place. Its location is different because it is not secluded somewhere. The hall is actually right in the middle of a block, surrounded by small delis and restaurants. It is in a good Brooklyn location, a very Polish area, but it doesn't have its own isolated space. When we saw this we were doubtful. We didn't know what we were going to do. But the outside is the complete opposite of the inside. The largest room is beautiful. What I loved about the room is the large elegant chandeliers, the mirrors surrounding the walls, the huge dance floor, and the variety of lights available to accent just about any event. The room is very romantic and vintage. I loved how everything looked for my wedding =) I have no complaints whatsoever. The wedding day itself was great. We had nothing to worry about, Eva took care of everything and knew exactly what we wanted and how we wanted it. She had great suggestions as well, always taking into consideration our limits. The food is great also. We chose a buffet style dinner because of the variety of food that our guests were going to have. We also had great dessert options like ice cream lollipops and mini ice cream cones which gave a very fun twist to our day. The service was amazing from the moment we met with Eva to the end of our wedding day. Eva is amazing! You will know what I am talking about once you meet her =) But I have no regrets, my husband and I are extremely satisfied with the way everything went. We couldn't have gotten better. We strongly suggest going to see the place in person, and not judging it from the outside. And please ask for Eva! Trust me, she is such a sweetheart! Thank you Eva for everything! Where do I start. If I had entertained some of the negative reviews, I would have lost out on one of the b\et venues in Brooklyn. I hosted my daughter's sweet sixteen at the Princess Manor and the event was SPECTACULAR. Eva and Matthew are just amazing. They make sure you get your money worth, from decor to the food, ending with the sweet treat table. I DEFINITELY recommend anyone to host their event at the Princess Manor, you won't be disappointed. read more

I just had my sweet 16 here and everything was really nice! I took the platinum pakage and it had the flashy lights included. They even had the hot pink color i wanted for the decoration and i was so happy. it was really fun. read more

My niece Latavia Cave had her sweet 16 there last Saturday and several kids showed up there w/o an invitation. Apparently the kids that were invited took a picture of the invitation and shared it via text. These kids were not invited and it's unfortunate that parents would drop their kids off to an event they were not invited to. Why wouldn't you ask to see the invitation? Why would you not see the parent of the child who's having the event and make sure your kid was being dropped off at the right place. The guest list was given to the security and he had all right to reject any uninvited guests. The security had a shield not a gun. This establishment has been nothing but helpful to my family and it's sad that a parent of an uninvited kid would post a review as untrue as the one she posted. The Bible says to train a child in the way that they should grow and they shall not depart. The review I saw is not a true portrayal of a trained child. When kids see parents react in such manner when they know they are wrong they will continue to do wrong. read more

I had my sweet sixteen here about two months ago, and I have to say everything went great! The event coordinator, Ewa (pronounced Eva) was so helpful. There was never a moment that I doubted she had everything under control. The maitre'ds and waiters were extremely courteous and accommodating. At one point, I had a small technical problem when the slideshow I had provided was not being played at the right time. I told my maitre'd. She apologized and it was fixed in a flash. Other than that, the food was delicious, and I could literally have any type of food I wanted (Italian, American, Hispanic, Polish, etc.) The room was decorated beautifully with some very nice linens (which were included by the way.) But the thing I like best about this place is the LED light show. Between the lights and the music almost everyone at the party was up out of their seats dancing.
