This is a wonderful salon with high quality service professionals. The staff and service are always punctual. I am glad that I found this nail salon. Since I moved here last year, it has been my favorite nail salon and the only one that I go to when in the Raleigh area. If anyone gets a chance to go there: I would recommend two artists there named Mike and Lindy. These are two very courteous, honest, and thorough professionals. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. I would give negative stars if I could. The service was horrible. Before I could pick a color (for a gel manicure), the woman doing my nails snatched my hand away to start filing my nails. Then when I finally picked a color (which took twice as long with one hand) I asked if the color was clear (I was looking for a matte white- pink), and she assured me that it wasn't. She painted one nail and it was VERY clear. I said something about this and she assured me that after two coats it would be better. Sure enough, after two coats it was not better. I said that I wanted a color that was more matte, not clear, and she said that she had told me not to get it because it was clear but I insisted on getting it!! I was appalled. Oh and after 5 days one of my nails peeled off ( gel usually lasts 3 weeks for me). My friend who was with me and got a French pedicure (for her WEDDING), and they didn't put a top coat on her toes which she didn't realize until later that day. I will never patronize this establishment again!!! My real nails look fake. I have product around my cuticles and the side of my fingers. I also was disappointed in the chatter and laughter in their language, then one tech says while they are laughing "no refund no return" then the male tech repeats in English. Not sure what that convo was about but they all laughed. I think this is the worst service I ever had. Once I came home and put on my glasses I saw how awful they look. Tried this place twice. Never again. Its clean, and the people are pleasant but I think my fingernails look worse than they did when I walked in! Completely uneven and not shaped at all... i told the nail tech I like rounded tips, what i got is neither rounded nor square just ugly and misshapen. This place has gone way downhill. Stopped by for a natural nail manicure on the way to work last week. Should be 30 minutes tops. The nail tech was an older lady with short hair, pleasant but could not speak one word of English. Her hands were shaky and her vision was impaired such that she missed wide swaths of my nails ... Many times I had to tell her to go back because she missed a spot completely. She also seemed afraid to actually trim my cuticle so she would grab it with the cuticle trimmers and PULL it. I had to pull my hands away from her several times. I have very thin nails and she was sawing back and forth so aggressively. I told her to please do it lighter and she smiled and started sawing again. I had to take her hand in mine and show her what I was going for. She refused to stop buffing my nails after I told her it was enough. So now I get to have my nails split and break for the next 6 months until the damage she did grows out. Total nightmare. And since she couldn't see some of the nails are visibly darker than others. It took AN HOUR. read more

Today was my first visit to Mani Pedi Nail Spa recommended by a friend. My nail tech was Lynne and I explained to her that I had been with the same person (at another salon) for years and was no longer happy with the way she was doing my nails. They were too thick and though I've told her many times I wanted oval nails, she insisted on filing them as square as a chicklet. Lynne did a beautiful job filing down the old acrylic and shaping my nails. She stopped periodically to ask me if I liked the shape. My nails are beautiful and I will be booking my appointments with Lynne from now on. The salon was very nicely decorated and quiet as it was Monday. Lynne also oiled my nails and gave me a nice hand scrub to finish off before I left. I get shellac on top of my acrylic so they were instantly dry and the scrub felt wonderful. The only thing good I have to say is the girl who did my design did a good job. I paid $40 for a gel manicure and they didn't even rub lotion into my hand. They didn't file the sides of my nails so now that my skin isn't stuck to the gel polish I have sharp sides. I tried this place because I was near and thought what the heck why not. This place was AWFUL and I would never ever go back. As soon as I sat down for a pedicure the woman asked me 3 times if I wanted gel, after repeatedly telling her no, and yet she kept asking. She rubbed my foot so hard with the pumice stone that she actually cut me on the side of my foot and it bled and left a cut. As my manicure was drying I noticed she had gotten polish all over my fingers and when asked to correct this she told me "it would wash off when I washed my hands." I paid over $40 for this. THE FRONT DESK PERSON IS VERY RUDE!!!!! She needs to believe in treat each other how you would like to be treated. Karma comes back and she is not going to know what hit her until its too late. She tries to make you feel stupid as if you do not know what you want when she answers the phone. The nail technicians are very nice and she treats them very badly. Today I heard her tell one of the nail technicians to SHUT UP IN A VERY loud tone. The owner needs to hire someone at the front desk that knows what customer service is all about as well as someone who knows how to treat the other employees. Very nice on the inside. Almost fell in love with it upon entry. Had an appointment and was served immediately. They serve complimentary beverages to those who get pedicures. Prices are a bit high, but I guess it's worth it. They have pedicures with different scents etc. for $10 more than the base priced/regular pedicure. The regular $30 pedicure included a hot stone massage on your legs and feet. The nail tech who did my feet turned the whirlpool off in the middle of my pedicure, then turned it back on about 5-7mins later. Didn't appreciate that and she didn't greet me or speak to me during my pedicure. I doubt I will visit often. A $30 pedicure is just as good as a $20-$25 one and in my opinion, pedicures I've gotten before visiting this location, were better. Nothing really special or extravagant about this place. I've gotten the same services and better treatment for $25, elsewhere. I gave it 2 stars because I thought the interior was really nice and their pedicure chairs were actually nice and comfortable. Another con about the place, only 3 people can dry their hands/feet at a time. Definitely an inconvenience. 5% discounts are granted daily if you pay in cash. And they have a happy hours discount, Wednesday - Thursday 1-3pm, $5 off pedicures and $5 off gel fill ins with French. They also have free wifi. read more

Finding time to get pedicure done with two kids is so difficult and this place is very close to work so I thought I could get a pedicure at lunch time. I was not at all happy. It was very amateurish. From the callus treatment to the massage everything was lacking. When I asked for more pressure during my massage I was told for that I need to go to a massage place. Seriously!! With a flight cancellation stay over, I decided to find the closest nail salon to this Awesome Fairfield Inn by Marriott (see my trip advisor review) using...what else?....Yelp reviews. This salon was the winner. I ultimately became the winner with a really great tech named Lindy. She and I discussed my nail situation of separating acrylics that needed fill ins. She reshaped and revamped my nails with a beautiful gel manicure that made my nails look fantastic. I never tried gel but a client next to me had them and after our discussion, Lindy took off the old stuff (with drill and lift...didn't hurt) and applied the gel regimen. I am thrilled with the results...too bad she doesn't make fill-in calls to Long Island. I will definitely return to this salon if I ever get back to Raleigh :) Give them a try and tell them a Yelper told you to. Clean and very spacious establishment with plenty of pedi chairs too. Unimpressed. I came here with my mom, me to get a pedicure, my mom to get a foot massage, which is attached right next door. First, I made an appointment for 3pm. I wasn't asked to sit in a chair until 3:15pm and didn't have anyone helping me until 3:35pm. What's the point of an appointment if there's nobody going to be ready to take me right when I made the appointment? The person who did my pedicure was nice, but she didn't offer me the complimentary beverage that I heard other women asking their customers. She just seemed unhappy and didn't want to be there. She did an okay job, massage was great, but I found the polish to be different than the OPI nail polishes I've used before. After I finished getting my toes painted, I was at the dryer for AT LEAST 20 MINUTES. (I sat there longer than I usually do because my mom was finishing up her massage) When I figured it would be dry, as I was getting up, the nail polish got messed up. I have never had a pedicure mess up after drying for that long. The lady was nice enough to erase the polish and re-paint my whole toe. Then, again, I sat there for another 15 or so minutes and got up and left when my mom was finished. When I got home, again, I saw that my polish had messed up. Weird. I will write the same thing I wrote about the manager that I wrote for the foot spa. He's rude, uninterested, and has a stern look all the time. He doesn't greet any of the customers, doesn't thank them for coming in, nothing. I don't know if he is the manager, the owner, or whatnot, but he definitely needs to work in the back. Keep looking is my only advice if you are looking for a good nail tech. I paid $65 for a full set of ombré nails only for them to pop off like press ons during my vacation. I called and Allen acted as if it was something that I did for these $65 nails to pop off within exactly 6 days. He stated he would need to see the nails in order to fix them, luckily for me I kept the ones that I could find. I went back to the shop expecting to either get a refund or for them to do what I had initially paid for. The only thing they offered to do was basic acrylic and gel polish, which does not cover the $65 I paid. This was my second and last time at princess nail bar. I will not be going back and if you want nails that actually last the 2-3 weeks that they're suppose to I suggest you find elsewhere as well. read more

I've been coming here for years but today was this first time I felt less like a customer and more like a "speed bump" for someone to get over. The pedicure was unpleasant, very rushed, and half done. When I requested my sandals to be put on before painting (like they usually do), I was told "it was too hard for me to paint them". She gave me their sandal and I soon asked when she intended to put my sandal on because I had a feeling the polish would mess up. She said "it's no big deal" three times. Of course, after they were partially dried, she tried to put the sandal on and sure enough, they were a mess. She had to redo them. I know it's hard to believe but sometimes the customer is right.......she learned that lesson through a less than stellar tip. I may give this place a break.... read more

I'm a big fan and regular of this place. My favorite tech is Michelle. They are all very personable, but she always takes great care of me. It is very clean, they do offer "happy hour" deals and if there is a chip, you can always come back up to four days later to get it fixed with no questions asked. I've been going to mani pedi for almost 4 years and the main reason is because of Sara. She is methodical, caring, kind and considerate. Sara's gel manicures will last on me for 3 weeks, the only reason I have to return is because my nails are too long. Sara gives great leg massages during pedicures and she also waxes my eye brows. I have been satisfied with your work in the past but this past time I felt I did not receive the service that I should have gotten. My nails did not whatsoever turn out the way I wanted them to. I went to get my nails done and the day after one of my nails broke. I went to get it fixed and I ended up being there longer for one nail then it took for a full set. They made me wait for ten minutes until I got a seat. Then as a buffer had me dip my nail in alcohol as I had to watch the lady next to me get her nails done. I was sitting there for about 45-60 minutes with my nail in alcohol. When the lady finally helped me she used a sander to take off the polish so the alcohol wasn't even needed. She was the one who picked out my color the day before. She asked what color I picked but I told her she picked it. She pulled every pink and tested them which took about 30 minutes. She didn't even find the right color but I was so tired of waiting and being there I said it was fine. Then she only did one coat. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! There is a reason why this place only has less than 3 stars. I would highly discourage anyone getting Sarah T (her name according to the receipt I received). The water was lukewarm at best and when I had to ask multiple times for it to be warmed it was not well received. This was my first time so I had asked her about the free hot stone massage "special" that they advertise on their website only to be spoken to like I was an idiot- saying they give hot stone massages with every pedicure. I did not appreciate the tone she held with me the entire time and especially did not appreciate the lack of care she took in providing a pedicure instead of paying more attention to anything but my feet. Lastly, she knew it was my first time (after I had asked about the hot stone massage) and literally spent 90% of the time she had the hot stones by her feet, putting lotion on my legs and barely even used the stones. (I did note that 4 of the other pedicure technicians spent more time using the hot stones). I of course at this point did not feel comfortable asking for anything because of her already sour attitude. Instead, I leave this comment in hopes others can avoid her. read more

Amy does my pink and white and I have gotten compliments on my nails nationwide. They have added a bar and for the best Mohito I have had what a great relaxing splurge. I am from NY and I just came here with My daughter for some special mother / daughter time. Vivian was my tech and she was very nice. I had mani pedi and a special warmed honey sugar hand treatment that felt wonderful. My mani seemed to take a long time to dry and then I had multiple smudged nails :( but I was quickly offered a redo. I didn't have time so just had some clear coat applied. I just moved to N.C. from Boston and decided to try this salon as it's close to my house. Upon walking in I was greeted pleasantly and handed a price brochure. I was totally shocked to see that they charge to remove gel polish! I have never heard of that. They set me up in the pedicure chair, the guy brought his stuff over, sat down and then out of nowhere picked up his things and disappeared into the back. No one said anything to me. Ten minutes later another guy came over, started the water and without a word began the pedicure. My feet barely soaked 1 minute. I asked that he not cut my toenails, just shape them. He cut them all. I asked that the white line of the French manicure be thin. Twice I asked that it be thinner and when I asked a third time he told me it was good. It was not at all what I wanted. He was rude and didn't listen to me at all. Within a few days, I had an ingrown toenail from where he clipped it when I asked him not to.
