First time I've ever gotten a pedicure or manicure and not tipped. All the techs acted like it was their fiesta day and they were mad to be there. The paraffin wax I paid extra for had about a teaspoon in the plastic bag and never touched my feet just dried up. The lady that took over for the man gouged my toes until I bled and then just hopped up all done. It used to be a good place. Wasted $130 on my pedi and my daughters full set which she hated but is 15 and the tech hopped up.. all done and she didn't speak up. read more

I absolutely loved my pedicures and nails every time I went to Princess Nails! When I asked them to do my nails a certain way, they did it. Very neatly done, polish covered the edges, no hangnails, evenly trimmed and smooth nails, relaxing pedicure, soft feet...everything was just fantastic! I have been going to this nail spa for almost 3 years. Jasmine has been doing my nails. She does a decent job, usually. She has cried a couple of times because she said my heart wasn't happy, after she did my nails. Btw. She can't read my heart. Well I got my daughter in law going to Fiona, which is the owner. She is the best, but has no personality. Friday I got there at 8:25 am, they opened at 9:00 am. Jasmine is the only one there, she's up and down answering the phone and the door. I am patiently waiting, as usual. When she sat down to start my nails after 9, I told her don't forget and make them thick. (She had told me to remind her two weeks earlier) She started crying and said, "I can't make you happy, You can just leave". I sat there and she said something in her native tongue to the owners, and the husband replied and said Fiona will finish you. She came over finally, and hurriedly did my nails. She didn't have time to put daisies on the two fingers I had asked for when sitting down at 8:25am. And then when I was finished, I was supposed to get 10% off, but she charged me More, I am going to a new place, and if they act like this, there are quite a few more I can choose. read more

Today I had the worst experience. I usually go to princess nails and I have had nothing less then a 5 star experiences. But today, a very run older man swooped me up from my usual person table and asked me to set down at his station. He then began to scold me for having glue on my nails, which is a hazard of my job. Then he got mad at me ripped off one of my nails. When he got frustrated with that he gave me a saturated cotton ball and told me to take off my own nail polish. I asked for my regular person and he lied to me saying he was not there. I told him I saw him and spoke with him when I came in. He then told me he went to something to eat. At this point I told him I'm leaving and left. I have never been so disrespected. read more

I come here every 2 weeks for gel polish only, I have tried other salons but they do the best. ALTHOUGH the owners are super rude. My favorite person is the lady who sits in the middle right up front. Today I went and didn't see her, so I went to another lady who has done my nails before. I went to pay and handed her 28 dollars because I am always only charged 20 dollars for them to take off my gel, and repaint with gel. I am halfway out the door and she comes running out to me saying I didn't give her enough and it's 30 dollars. NEVER had I ever been charged 30 dollars for gel only. I don't know if the lady did this for an extra tip or what. She did an amazing job but I will wait for my regular lady next time. read more

I went here with some friends and we all wanted manicures and two of us wanted pedicures. The pedicures are the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. The women who did them were amazing, my friend and I both agreed. My feet look and feel so, so wonderful. They took their time and really made us feel welcome. Well worth the money spent. However, we are both super disappointed in our manicures. We went for dip nails, which we both have gotten before. The man who did mine was more interested in his phone, which looked like he was watching some sort of security cameras. He sped through the process, definitely skipping layers. It's now three days since I've gotten them done and the picture is what they look like now. I haven't even done anything at all to tear them up. I don't have a picture of my friends nails, but hers are pretty misshapen. I won't go back, and don't recommend going here for manicures. Pedicures, absolutely. read more

I wouldn't recommend Princess nails in Newburgh to anyone. I went for my first acrylic set in over a Year, I first asked for a design the first girl said she does not do any so she gave me the female owner of the store Who did my nails. I don't wear my readers at all times so therefore did not see the error until I left there and looked at the work in the light, She applied two coats, You can see clearly the outline of the second coat not placed properly on top of the first coat, It looked a hot mess. I then returned a couple of days later when I had time, I showed her how each coat did not match up to the other and you can see the outline of the second, She went on to tell me She did the best that she could do and if I didn't like their work then I needed to go back to where I've been getting my nails done at. She then proceeded to paint over that paint job and refused to remove the polish of the work she made an error on. And repeat it to me that I probably need to go somewhere else. I told her that my nails are not professionally done so I expected her to take the polish completely off and redo it which most nail salons would do if they made that kind of error. That is no way to do business and that upsets me that someone would take your money like that and not present a professional job you will find my report with the better business barrel I hope princess Nails is reading this read more

This is a good place for a basic spa pedicure. They always seem busy and the place seems clean. Their prices seem reasonable ($25 for a spa pedi). I've walked in 3 times without an appointment and they've always been able to accommodate me within 5 minutes. As with any nail salon, some technicians are better than others. The females who have done my pedis did a better job than the male who did it once. He was just a touch too rough with the salt scrub. Overall my polish would last up to 3 weeks. Some of the techs aren't the friendliest people; however, at $25 per pedi you're not paying for 5-star service. I'll continue coming here. read more

I went here to get my nails done, I got the guy who sits in the first chair. When I sat down he started working on my nails right away. The manicure was not a good one at all and I was not satisfied with the results. A few things that happened to me while I was there has turned me away from this nail salon forever. I had to ask multiple times to cut my nails shorter and then eventually I was told I was "wasting his time" and then refused to repaint my nails when he put the wrong color on them because once again I was "wasting his time" and then to top off my experience, As he was putting the acrylic on my nails he looked up at me and scrunched up his nose. Then he took the little fan that is used to dry nails, turned it on the highest setting, and faced it towards him. I thought he was just hot, but he continued to look uncomfortable and scrunch his nose. Eventually he told me that, and I quote, "your hands stink and you really need to learn how to wash your hands more" Then he proceeded to turn on yet another fan and turned it towards him. I had put on some sour apple scented hand sanitizer before going into the salon and could only think of that being the culprit of the smell he was talking about. I just want to let everyone know that I did not make a scene during any of this, I still tipped the man, and I have never made a bad review on anything before. I'm just not that kind of person. But I felt so mistreated here that I could not go without saying something about it. Please don't go here, as far as I can see, they are rude people. read more

I showed up on a Saturday at 5:30pm. I wasn't sure what time they closed and was relieved I made it on time. (Door states they close at 7pm) There was a gentleman who I know works there squatting down smoking a cigarette looking at his phone, next to the door. I know he works there because he has done my nails before. I pulled the door to open it and it was locked. Surprised, I asked him if they closed early. He looked at me like he couldn't understand me. So I looked at the door again and asked if they closed at 7pm. He shrugged his shoulders. I said, "you work here don't you?" Again he pretended to ignore me. I asked if he spoke English and he wondered away from me and proceeded to talk to the American guy waiting in his truck next to me (for his gf to come out who works there also; I know this b/c I have seen this guy in the salon on a few occasions as well). Then, as I got back into my car (to drive to a salon that would be open) all the ladies started coming out and leaving. It happens to be Labor Day weekend. Look, I will be the first to admit closing early on a holiday weekend is great! But come on. A simple note on the door or just explaining that they weren't busy and decided to close early would have been A-okay with me. Show some respect to your loyal customers.
