Princess Nails is a pristinely clean nail spa on Route 106 in Mansfield MA. I have had the pleasure of having nail tech extraordinaire, Lena, provide me with manicures and pedicures. Lena is very precise with her work. She ensures that the length and shape are acceptable to me. Additionally, she is very caring and sweet. I have an ongoing issue with my left arm and shoulder. Lena constantly makes sure that I am comfortable and also adds either equipment or towels to be sure that I am comfortable. Won't be going back to Princess Nails! I had a Deluxe-Pedicure and was not happy with the results (still have rough skin, etc). I have been a customer at this place for a long time and never had an issue with a pedicure or manicure previously. Brought this issue up with management when I was in the shop which was 2 weeks later (because I had been away on vacation) to see if they could just quickly file rough area/skin down and was basically laughed at as it had been 2 weeks. So basically, I paid for the best pedicure at this shop and realized, while on vacation, the pedicure was subpar....and their response was this for a quick fix to remedy the problem??!! There are so many other places to go to who are customer-friendly, gentle when doing nails, and appreciate their patrons. read more

Dont recommend this salon. The staff was rude and unprofessional. This was my second visit and only went back to give it a second chance. The customer service was horrible so this customer will bring her business elsewhere. With there being so many salons in the area, this is the only one that I wouldnt go back to. The other salons are good but I like to try different ones and when I first went to this one I didnt get a good feeling about how they werent interacting with the customers...only among themselves. Im pretty sure the worker today was saying not nice things to me but I didnt understand what she was saying. I only understand English so when she YELLED at me to "grab your polish and go sit down!" after I accidently knocked over a (1) polish bottle . She said that part clearly in English. I dont think that a good business yells at their customers for accidently knocking something over that was placed on TOP of a rack and not IN the rack! I got my nails done here yesterday 7/20/2020 by Danny and they came out amazing. This is the best my nails have ever looked. He took his time filing and shaping my nails, they look really straight. They are very smooth too and not too thick or thin. The nail drill gets a bit hot but he checks the hotness frequently. The atmosphere is a little bleh, definitely screams 'old people' but its relaxing otherwise. I also got my eyebrows done buy a woman, who looked like perhaps the owner. This place is really cute. I will be my regular spot if i lives close enough. My friend recommend it while I was in the area. She is always talking about how great it is. After my experience I can see why. I got the best pedicure from this place. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was not crowded. It is clean. The staff is provably what makes this place special. My nail tech (wish I remember her name ‍) was very deceptive to my concerns. She took her time in doing my pedicure. I don't get pedicures frequently because I feel I never get my money's worth. My experience here was different. You can tell the techs care about what they do. The price is also average. I just might have to take the ride to go here for pedicures going forward. read more

Will never go back! So disorganized! Sat in one seat someone started my nails then moved to another seat to somebody else. The dipping on my nails was only done a few times compared to the thousand times I've had dips. It was like they were rushing to get to the next client. What a waste. Completely not relaxing. Lina is the best! I've gone to so many places and the dip would pick up well before 2 weeks so when I came here I told Lina and she promised she would make them great. I haven't stopped going back since. My dip lasts 3 weeks and probably could be longer if I let them. Lina takes her time to perfect what she's doing and she checks in to make sure you like them so far. I usually can't make up my mind and she always has great ideas for me to do. I've never stayed with the same salon but I don't think I'll ever leave Lina. They welcome walk-ins but if you want to see Lina definitely call! read more

My gel nails are two and a half weeks old and still look fabulous! ( and this is with a job that's hard on my nails!) They took their time with my nails and made the pedicure relaxing and enjoyable. Went there today for a dip manicure. I picked out a peach color because I didn't want anything too bright. When they brought over the color I said it looked very bright and was told it was only because it was in the jar. As they started to apply it i again said it wasn't the same color and they showed me it was the same number and it would lighten up. Finally after saying for the third time it wasn't the same color they called someone over who said "Ohhhh that 400 must be the old 400 but it's summer that color is nice." Nice or not it's not what I asked for at all. Needless to say I still had to pay full price and left very unhappy. My nails are hot pink, pictures below. I will not be going back. read more

I will definitely be back! This was my first time there and I was trying somewhere new after being disappointed at the place I had been going. I wasn't sure about trying it based on some of the reviews but it was so close to work and convenient that I decided to give it a shot. I really wanted a mani/pedi but was pressed for time so I just asked for a pedi. She asked if I wanted a mani too and when I said that I didn't have time, she said they could do both at once. I got a french on both and was in and out in just under an hour. Sometimes the white line is too thin or too thick but I feel like Nina did it exactly how I wanted it. To begin on a positive note - I usually get pedicures at Princess nails anywhere from 4-6 times a year. In recent years, they did a major renovation, so it seems pretty clean. New massage chairs, mani stations, a really big drying area. They also have a great selection of polish(always the new collections) and, should you request a flower, theirs are normally really pretty and delicate - not tacky. Unfortunately, however, my recent experiences here have been less than pleasant. I was here last Saturday (3/3/12) for a pedicure. It looked as though they were training a few new girls, but my pedi was with someone who I have seen in there for years. First of all, she was really rough with my feet and toes - my experience was painful rather than comforting, and my feet weren't even dry to begin with! The polish came out beautiful, as did the flower, so I chose not to complain. The next day, my big toe was pink and a little swollen. I decided maybe it was because she roughed my foot up a bit and didn't think a thing of it. Monday, my toe was a deep red and the swelling was spreading around the toenail. I made an appointment with my doctor for Tuesday. Tuesday I saw my doctor, who confirmed that it was an infection. I was put on antibiotics four times a day for a week, had to soak my toe in hot water with epsom salt for 15 minutes a day, apply bacitracin with a gauze wrap a few times a day and wear loose fitting shoes. That $30 pedicure turned into a $30 pedi plus $40 in various expenses to care for my toe (copay, prescription, and first aid materials). Not to mention the care was time consuming and I had to remove the polish! Be careful of this place. I intend to post this review elsewhere because I feel so strongly that you should not go here! If the tools were clean and my toes weren't beat up like they were, I wouldn't have had this problem!!! Now I know not to trust a book by it's recently renovated cover. read more

Well I been coming here for a while but not very often.. The girls are nice sometimes and then there other timea theyre so rudeee... My last experience wasnt very pleasant at all... I got burned with the wax in my eyebrow, she cut two of my fingers n then she messed up one nail when I told her to fix it cause I didnt like it she kinda said it was fine that it didnt need to be fix so I just left it like that cause I really cant understand what they say most of the time. The main reason I didn't give this a higher review is that my manicurist/pedicurist was very rough on my hands and feet while I was there. It wasn't a relaxing experience at all and I ended up with a cut on my finger from where the manicurist was taking care of the cuticles. The nail techs are good and the smell is minimal compared to most nail salons, but these positives are outweighed by the Loud and constantly on TVs. I've asked to have them turned off and while they might reluctantly do so, another tech turns them back on not long afterward. I think it's more for their entertainment than for customers. I just find it annoying and takes away from having a relaxing experience. Also, the massage chairs don't always work and aren't the most comfortable ones out there. I've been going to Princess Nails for many years. The owners are great people and make you feel like long-time friends. The staff, although there's been a bit of turnover in the last year, are always wonderful as well. I trust the staff here completely, knowing that I'll be happy with the quality of service received. The only reason I'm not giving Princess Nails five stars is because the atmosphere is terrible. The salon is very run-down and even appears dirty now. If I hadn't been going here for so long, I would turn around and leave if I walked in and saw the state of this salon for the first time today. Everyone who works here is so kind and hard working though--if there is a "salon makeover" reality show out there, these folks deserve it! I'm sure the appearance is driving away a lot of customers, new and old, which is unfortunate. If I win the lottery, I'm renovating this shop for them! Stop in for a wax or a manicure and don't let the run-down atmosphere cloud your impression... you won't be disappointed and will adore the staff members! I have been coming here for over 6 years and I am at the point where if there was another salon in town that had more flexible hours I would switch. They do quality work but the husband and wife that own or run the place do not appreciate their long time customers. I have heard the wife accuse customers of saying something they didn't say or complaining and poking fun if someone wasn't happy with their service. They constantly speak in their native tongue while working on your nails and you never know who they are talking about. I tip well and never have a complaint. But if I voice a concern about anything, a broken nail that needs to come off but it hurts to remove it, or if they cut my cuticle while doing my nails, the wife will later mock me about how I was crying about it. Very odd that they treat their customers like this. I am almost out of there. And I have sent so many customers their way, but no more. read more
