I haven't had my nails done in a long time so I went to king Philip nail salon. I had been there before and it wasn't a fantastic job but it was good enough. This time I had a young man. Very young. Probably not even licensed. He had 2 very long fingernails. It was nasty. He actually touched me with them cleaning up the polish. Yuck! Well it has been 5 days and the lousy gel polish job that he did is already lifting. Probably won't last a week never mind 2. Went here for the first time yesterday at the recommendation of all the good reviews on here. I set up an appt with Eva. When I walked in, it was dead so she took me right away. There were two other ladies working there. I immediately felt super comfortable there. Such a laid back, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. I absolutely LOVE the way my nails turned out. They are gorgeous and perfect! Eva did an excellent job and was very gentle with me! Amazing! I can't stop looking at my nails the next day. It's a smaller salon than most places I've been to (only 4 nail booths and 4 pedicure chairs) but that doesn't bother me. The personal attention you get is worth every penny. I went in mid day having never been before and everyone was so nice and awesome. A man did my nails and he even helped me decide what color would look best. They had to take off my gel first and they put the foil on and then put my hands under a heat lamp, and it made it so that it required a lot less scratching of my nail, which I really liked. I would absolutely go back here, and in fact I think I will tonight. Very clean, very nice staff, and same prices as anywhere else. Updated: I go back every 2 weeks now. The girls here are so so so so sweet. What I also love is that if you say you want just a polish change, they say okay, pick a color! Instead of trying to talk you into a full mani/pedi, more services, etc. They do exactly what you want, and they are so sweet. I would absolutely keep coming back here. read more

Update: I am changing my review from 2 stars to 1. As I said in my previous review, the lady that did my nails left a noticeable gap between the polish and my cuticles that made it look like they had been grown out for 2 weeks when it was only 2 hours. Three days later, my nails have already started to chip and crack and have black speckles that look like air bubbles (?). Truthfully the worst gel manicure I've ever gotten. I've gotten regular polish manicures that last longer and look better than this! Will not be returning. Wish I could get my 30 bucks back seeing how I will have to spend it again later this week to get them done again! read more

My daughter and I were looking for a new nail salon. She saw this with a 5 star and we set out on a Friday Morning about 10:30. The minute she started to turn into the parking lot I knew I had been there before. My daughter went in first as I was finishing up on a phone call. The women growled and said come back at 5:30 which is exactly what she said to me about a year ago. I never went back. When you walk through the door she gives you a dirty look. i walked into the salon with high hopes for a nice full set of acrylics. they weren't able to do them for me for another 2 hours even though there were two people available to help. that wasn't horrible though, so i went to get a gel manicure. prices were great! service was great! quality was not. my nails do not look presentable at all and i can't take it off myself because it's gel. would definitely return but i do not recommend gel marble. read more

Love King Phillip Nails! I first want to commend them for the great job of keeping their clients safe during this pandemic! They have nice partitions up and are making sure to take necessary precautions! I totally feel safe getting my nails done here! I just want to say, I have seen people get mad or frustrated at workers during these times. Please understand that they have to take extra time to do their jobs. They have to have clients fill out paperwork, take temperatures, and take extra cleaning precautions and ensure there aren't too many people in the salon at one time. Please understand that it may take sometime to get an appointment and please remember to be on time for your appointment so that you don't hold up other clients! They are trying their best to take care of everyone during this difficult time! Everyone is looking forward to getting their nails done again, so this is a very busy time for them. In saying that.... I have been going to King Phillip Nails for years! They are always pleasant and accommodating! They are great! My nails are always beautiful and the pedicures are absolutely amazing! I once went to Lowe's after a pedicure, and had a woman follow me around telling me that I smelled so good! She said what is that? I said, I just had a pedicure at King Phillip Nails!
