On my last visit, I wasn't greeted right away because the staff were busy with their own conversation, and only afterward did they ask my name. To make it worse, I later found out that was the district manager, which explains why the service standard feels so low. Willow provides excellent care, but leadership and customer service at this location really need improvement. For the prices they charge, customers should feel valued--not like they're just in an assembly line.

The door chimed when I walked in and the door was unlocked so there was no indication that I was actually walking in the back and not the front. I had to wait another 15 minutes for her to be ready for me. I assume she must have been on a break...which is fine...I have no issues with that. But another esthetician came out while I was waiting and offered to the woman up front to take care of my wax and the woman at the front told her no, that I was waiting for Kayla. Technically I was but I was a new client so I just picked a name when I was booking it online and it would have been nice to be asked "hey do you want to go ahead or would you rather wait". I would have most certainly gone ahead with the woman that was ready for me. Meanwhile, while waiting for Kayla to finish her break, the woman up front had ordered food and proceeded to eat while I was waiting, never having me fill out any sort of paperwork even though I was a newbie to this facility, which she knew because I told her when I checked in. She took a few personal calls as well which was very awkward & well honestly unprofessional. Finally, Kayla was ready...she came to get me and took me back to the room to be waxed. While she was in the room she asked me to disrobe from the waist down, leaving my underwear on. Um WHAT?!? She told me this was standard procedure. Never have I had an esthetician IN the room when I am undressing, nor have I ever had one tell me to leave my undergarments on. Fortunately for me this was my first time at the facility so I ended up getting my wax for free but I would certainly not waste my time going back. The salon is filthy--tools, counters, everything. The first time, the nail color looked fine, but a nail popped off weeks later. I should've known better than to return. Today was the final straw. The man who worked on me--Dewey--showed up an hour and a half late, didn't bother to say hello, and actually picked a tool up off the floor and stuck it back in a drawer. His attitude was nasty from the start. I chose a gel color, and he tried to "match" it with a powder that looked nothing like it. When I calmly said I didn't like the mismatch, he got irritated and acted like I was inconveniencing him. Meanwhile I'd already been soaking my nails in acetone for 45 minutes because another employee gave me the wrong instructions--something he loudly scolded her for in front of customers.
