It was the first time I came into A Nails for a pedicure or manicure. I brought my granddaughter to celebrate her birthday with some basic gel nails. We weren't happy with the outcome for her and part of it was due to the nail tech Amy up selling extras to a 13-year-old well I was unaware receiving my own pedicure. No one passed it by me who would be paying for the service. I was relaxing in one of the most comfortable massage chairs I had ever encountered at a nail salon. I very much enjoyed my pedicure and was satisfied with the gel, nails and expert cleanup on a difficult toenail. It was time at the register where things went bad. My granddaughter's nail job was probably one of the worst I had seen, and I never would've accepted it myself and the price tag was almost double what I had expected to spend due to all the extras. The salon owner was not present, and I did not want to cause a ruckus and ruin an experience that a few other folks were having getting their nails done. I figured I would address it direct to the owner afterwards. I also did not want to embarrass my granddaughter. She would've been mortified. So, after talking to Amy and politely letting her know, I wasn't happy and she offered a redo for my granddaughter, but I was not comfortable with having all that done to her and spending all that time again. I did pay the bill and its entirety and planned to contact the owner the following day. And after all, I was satisfied with my pedicure. I owned a service related business myself for many years, and I felt comfortable handling it this way. So, this is where the experience flipped back to good! I contacted the owner and refused to have my granddaughter's nails redone and instead requested a refund for her nails only. The owner and I chatted it out back-and-forth and came to a satisfactory resolution. I was very impressed with the determination to make sure that an experience with a child would not happen like that again as well as the owners determination to do the right thing with a refund. Everyone deserves another chance and I'm sure Amy has been schooled additionally on technique and making sure she has the approval from the person paying the bill. Overall, I want to wrap up with the salon has plenty of good plaza parking, the waiting area was nice, the electronic check in system was techno current and easy, and there were many polish choices. A-Nails is one of the cleanest salons I have encountered. Their air return system was exceptional, and you did not walk in and smell the gasping smell of chemicals. That really matters to me! Especially when I'm bringing in a 13-year-old. The pedicure chair had an easy to manage control, delivered a relaxing, comfortable massage and my tech treated me with a gentle yet skilled exfoliation on a foot that had been badly damaged in an accident. The gel nail polish she applied is still holding up two weeks later. Next time I am up for a gel pedicure I will go back. I will look up my text name and update this as soon as possible. I can't help but notice that I remembered the name of the tech that screwed up on my granddaughter, but not my own who did a good job. Negative feedback sticks in our heads more than positive. I think the owner understands that bit of marketing strategy. The owner is doing everything she can to run a good business and everyone deserves a second chance, including Amy read more

My neighbor, husband and I stopped in for some pampering. The service started quickly and we were offered beverages. My husband and I was getting a pedicure. We opted for the second one on the menu which was $49 without gel and $66 with. The woman doing my husband's nails wasn't pleasant at first and complained about how thick his nail was. He told her she could cut it down and she started this long story about people suing for ingrown toenails and ACTUALLY said "We are not doctors", which was rude!!! We tipped and left, but I won't be returning. The bottom of my feet were still dry and I had to lotion them myself, whereas the other nail tech put oil and lotion mixed on my husband's feet to ensure they were well moisturized. They kept asking me if I wanted a manicure, but after how she treated my husband I politely declined 3 times. It was giving money crab energy instead of real concern or care for my wellbeing. read more

The nail salon was nice. My service, not so nice. I had beautiful nails when I walked in. I needed a fill and a couple nails had lifted. I walked out with short, horrible looking nails. During my visit, the tech tried telling me that I had a fungus on two nails. I knew it wasn't fungus. She even had another nail tech tell me the same. I explained to them that it was green because water was trapped between my nail and acrylic when I glued the lifting nail. I was shocked that they did not know this. I will not go back. I dont feel they are knowledgeable of nails. I also feel the tech had a horrible attitude towards me. read more

The only downfall to getting my nails done today was having to wait a long time. I've had the most difficult time finding a nail salon near me that does my mani and pedis to my liking until I found A Nails! I had an AMAZING experience! I came in today for a fill-in and gel pedicure. My nail tech Amy took her time reshaping and filing my nails to a more natural and flattering shape, (even without me having to ask), because the set I came in with was so bulky and wide. I like short natural looking nails. Nothing crazy! The salon was very spacious and clean with big plush pedicure massage chairs that are perfect for relaxing. I almost fell a asleep. Never ever again! My friend and regularly go to different nail places and as we are both nurses our nails do not last. Went in , no greeting, just what do we want. Was practically empty and we asked to sit next to each other and that was denied. Then we were thrown two very limited books of colors and neither of us got the color we asked for. The numbers we picked were either not available or they made a mistake but carried on anyway. She picked silver and got royal blue I picked copper and they said wasn't the color I picked etc. Rude and only interested in money that day. Not good business as I will tell everyone I know not to go there. Came out with unbuffed acrylics that say it's 45 dollars and nails sharp enough n jagged enough to cause someone serious injury and on top of that charged me a two dollar ' surcharge' for using my credit card! Told me to bring cash next time. No TVs on only elevator music, dirty equipment, lousy attitude and had to ask for a tiny bottle of water twice. Beware. We wasted 140 bucks! You live and learn. I am beyond disgusted how I've been scammed by this nail salon. I would not recommend this place to anybody. They know exactly what they are doing and have made me waste my time, money and gas on 3 occasions now by not keeping my appointments. Telling me they'll make it up to me and give me a free pedicure, then when I go in for the free pedicure they charged me $20 MORE then what I normally pay. Absolutely TERRIBLE business and service. i've been looking for a new salon since moving here. The salon itself is very clean and pretty. Unfortunately, I asked to get a pedicure and a manicure and as my manicure was being done, they asked if I wanted my nails cut down and I said no cause there's an extra charge for that, I just wanted to fill which should've been $48 with gell. I asked if they had a transparent pink to go over my fill so it would be somewhat translucent and I was told they didn't have it. It wasn't until I got up and found money on the ground and gave it to the owner that the owner said that they did have it, and handed me a bunch of translucent colors. I sat back down after the first coat on my hand and I said I did not like it and I asked if I could change it. I was told the color looked bad because of the color of my nail underneath so instead of arguing I let them finish and canceled my pedicure. I went to pay and they still charged me an additional seven dollars for the length of my nails, My nails are not long nor was this listed as an extra charge. When I challenged it the story changed and said the fee was for shaping my nails, which they did do nor told me there was a charge for it. i'm not gonna spend more money at a place that doesn't care if you like what you walk out with and charges you for things that you don't get or ask for. read more

I would not recommend. Very aggressive staff. I walked in with no appointment so I was not expecting to be immediately seen. She told me a chair to sit at but I went to the wall to select a color. Another girl who was with a customer told me the chair number again and I asked how I was to pick my color? She handed me a book which is fine I just didn't realize. Anyway as I go to sit down I realize she's talking about me and I heard her client say "I just don't think she heard you". So this was a bit off putting. Either way I went and sat down. Looking around I realized that there were other customers seated without any water in their bowls. Given my time allowance and my already unsettling experience here I decided to just leave. It wasn't the day for me. One of the employees chased me out to my car and rapped on my window. She then proceeded to give me a dressing down for 5 minutes about not telling them I was leaving. All I could think was if she'd given half this energy inside to communicate their habits and possible time frame I would've likely stayed. I'll never go back. read more

I came in last week to treat myself to a pedicure for my birthday and feel like i got scammed. There are zero prices listed anywhere in the business or on-line. I was asked which lotion i wanted to use but I thought it was just a smell preference as when I asked what the difference was she never mentioned the prices. , and they were just different scents. I picked out color and they gave me gel. i'm used to specifying if I want a gel pedicure but they gave it to me without asking first. When i went to pay it was $74.!!!!! I know i take some of the fault as I should have asked about pricing before starting. but never would i have imagined it would be that much, and after reading the reviews it seems they do this on purpose. they give you the most expensive service if you do not specifically tell them you just want a basic. read more
