My experience with visiting Brunswick Urgent Care at both locations has been exceptional. Staff was friendly, waiting area and exam rooms are very clean and modern. The best part of my experience was meeting Cindy Hackbart. She is nothing short of amazing. She took the time to review prior history and medical records, listened to and addressed all of my concerns and made me so comfortable. A personal phone call to discuss lab results and to check how I was feeling shows the individual care she gives to her patients. Terrible experience. Not at all patient-centric. #1 There was a line at the door before they opened, with patients clearly in pain; someone went in 1 minute before their opening time and was rudely told to go back outside and wait. #2 My husband was in major pain and they made him fill out several forms, insurance etc. -- even though he was paying out of pocket and said he would just pay in advance -- without seeing him. #3 We were there out of town, and had to rush to the airport afterwards. My husband accidentally left a personal item at the desk. No matter what we offer to do or pay or sign as a liability statement they will not mail it back to us. We don't even live in the state. They say we need to fly back there to pick it up. read more

On Jan. 18 th I felt sick at a very odd time of the day, it was exactly on a Saturday at 5 pm and my Dr office was already closed. I decided for Urgent Care in Franklin Park for the convenience of being close to my house. I had fever and I needed an antibiotic. As I get to the front desk to register to go in way before o had seen any Dr. the employee asks me that she needs a credit card to keep on file, otherwise I would not be seen. WHAT???? I guess these Drs are not here for the sick , they are there for your credit card. Guess what I did, I asked her to give me back my card insurance and I left the building. I went to Carbon Health where the credit card for payment (not to keep on file )was the last thing they asked me for. Brunswick Urgent care only accepts you as a patient if you have a credit card on file , otherwise they refuse to see you. They don't care about the sick, they care about your credit card first. Been coming to this Urgent Care for a few yrs now and noticed that the receptionists are very nonchalant and borderline rude this is why I decided to find another urgent care when people are concerned about your health rather than $$$. So I came in to get a covid test and give them my insurance card from work and the receptionist says I have a copay. I ask why would I have a copay for a covid test when my insurance is covering 100% of the test and she stated that they were waiving the copay in '20 and '21 but they are charging in '22 because they in the business to make $$$. So I got on the phone while standing in the lobby and started calling other urgent care and found another that you don't have to pay a copay. This place here want to get the copay $$$ plus 100% of the insurance $$$ so they have lost me as a customer and will be telling anyone I know not to go to this urgent car Total disappointment with this place read more

I used to have a primary care doctor. I could never get an appointment, so I wouldn't go. I put my own healthcare to the back burner. That was until I started going to Urgent Care and I met Cynthia Hackbart, APN. She got me interested in my own healthcare. How crazy is that. But it is true! We routinely do blood work, she has me following up on other doctor appointments like a visit to my cardiologist, etc. Following up on screenings. She is now my primary care doctor. Find a place that treats you like a person - that place is NOT Brunswick Urgent Care in Franklin Park. They would not see me because I would not agree to their "new credit card on file" policy which states they can charge you whatever they want directly to your credit card after insurance processes the bill. (Nowhere does it say it will match what the EOB says you owe. it just says whatever charges THEY deem still outstanding. Really? Nice try - but not for me. Please stay away. The only way to get them to be decent is top avoid them until they treat their patients/customers as people. read more

Stopped by here few months ago for a muscle spasm, my deductible for Urgent care is 20$ which I paid up front. A few months later they decided to charge me 100$ for an additional deductible. I checked with my insurance company and they mentioned you're only supposed to pay 100$ for an emergency room (hospital), and only 20$ for urgent care. Clearly they're trying to scam me for another 100$ posing as a "hospital" when its a small building. Stay away. They're scam artists. They sent the bill to a collection agency and it ruined my credit. I also specifically asked the lady what my deductible was and she said its only 20$. Absolutely disgusting and unethical way to do business. read more

I saw APN Adele Schmool during an asthma attack and breathing issues yesterday. I had gone to my general doctor with a sinus infection but have been sick for two weeks. She took her time to listen to me and last night was the first time I got a good nights sleep and could sleep in days. I am so thankful. All the doctors there are amazing. read more

I have been going to Brunswick Urgent Care for years, my last visit was with Dr Phan, I cant thank him enough for his thorough exam. Thanks to his recommendations, experience and care for his patients, he suggested I get a test to rule out a possible cause to my pain. Thanks to that recommendation he was able tell me to go directly to the ER where I ended up needing emergency surgery. Dr. Kap is the best, as are the other doctors there. When seeing Dr. Kap, he is very compassionate and genuinely concerned about my sons and my well being. Avoid coming here. Was told my bill would be one price and I get another bill in the Mail with a completely different amount. Was on the call with insurance and the billing manager for an hour before I gave in and payed because of how much of a nightmare the problem had become. Finance Managers exact words: "you shouldn't just assume to pay what we said at the front desk. You never know what your bill is going to be" If i knew how much more you guys were going to charge, I never would have proceeded as there are cheaper options with my insurance a few miles away. I was extremely impressed by Alessandra, APN and Dr. Phan, and all MAs and techs involved in their very efficacious removal of extremely high volume and severely impacted cerumen. Thank-you so much as I had thought I lost some of my hearing. But this is nothing new for Brunswick. I have been coming here for years, everyone is caring and diligent. The receptionists are also great, not making you wait a long time, and keeping communication open. I have never seen anyone here not at the top of their medical proficiency. My husband went to Brunswick Urgent care in November 2021, the doctor gave incorrect without evaluation and prescribed steroids and Antibiotics without analyzing the patient. It resulted in aggravating situation for my husband and he was taken to hospital. The worst part was after giving wrong analysis, Brunswick Urgent care and its owner - Dr Charles decided to claim money from us for the scan they did. I spoke to Ashley from reception, as others have claimed their staff is very rude. Please do not visit them as they do not have the right knowledge or experience for the practice. read more

Loved my experience there, from beginning to end! The receptionists were super helpful when I called to make an appointment for an allergy shot, since I was having difficulty breathing from seasonal allergies. Getting into the office the check in was very easy and to the point. Within 10 minutes the NP Sean came to see how I was, since he did hear about my difficulty breathing. He was SO PROFESSIONAL and so informative about what my options would be to deal with my allergy issue. The kenalog shot allowed me to be able to breathe normally and I was back to normal within hours. I never understood the need for urgent care if a person has a primary care doc but now I get it. As a grad student at a NYC school I'm basically always left with 3 choices: call student health services to get a referral to my PCP here in NJ, then make an appt and hope she's in; go to the ER where I won't need a referral but will have to deal with red tape later; or suffer. Today I realized there's a better way - Urgent Care. This location is great - clean, airy, and professional. I was seen less than 10 minutes after I arrived and treated for my problem with knowledge and care. Why wait days for an appointment or slog thru the ER for anything less than a crisis? I sure won't. The staff here is extremely friendly and very courteous. That helped to put a nervous sort such as myself at ease. Dr. Cha was extremely professional and caring. He doesn't smile that much but he gives great explanations. They are also outstanding on phone calls; both when you call in and when they need to call you back. A large parking lot is a plus too. Each exam room has a TV set if you want to watch while waiting. There is a large screen TV in the general waiting room. I realize that's not real important in choosing a doctor but it does contribute to the overall experience. read more

This is by far the BEST urgent care in the area. YES waits are long, however that is EVERYWHERE. But I will take a long wait with a professional and caring staff ANY DAY! The admin staff are very patient and professional, and the doctors are amazing! I had a great experience with Dr Chai and Dr Cindy Hackbart is extremely knowledgeable and puts the patient's best interest first. They don't accept my insurance, yet I choose to come here and pay out of pocket due to the fact that their services exceed my expectation every time. Okay, so i have not written a review for this establishment before. simply because I figured everyone in town has been here at some point and they are very good! especially for sinus infection. etc. well my opinion has now changed. I had to get a Covid test (2nd one) for up coming eye surgery. last time wasn't bad in and out in a short period of time. This time however I had to wait nearly TWO HOURS!!! it seems they now take appointments!! Thats BS. why do you think we come to you in the first place. because our regular doctors are all filled up with appointments!! so i walk in there were about four ahead of me the girl said. well ten to twelve or more people went in before I did. when I asked "what's going on?" thats when she told me of the appointment scheduling. again this is BS! yea, it's fine if you have two doctors there. one to take the appointments and one for walk ins. no only one doctor!! I know these places are popping up all over the place and they are probably cutting back to save money. Also a Covid test takes like 15 seconds. why don't they expedite these test and move these people to the front of the line. not all of them. squeeze then in intermittently. actually, what they should do is teach the Nurse how to do the test (I'm sure all the ones at the drive throughs are not doctors) and have her do the test. they really need to take a look at how they are doing business and determine if it's in the best interest of the customer/ patient. this appointment scheduling system is not going over to well. I don't know who came up with that idea. it needs a another looking at by management. once you get to see a doctor, if it's Dr. Phan, your in good hands. the others are good to. though I prefer Dr. Phan. read more

Scheduled an appt online for 3:26 PM. I arrived early but there was a line waiting to check in on the ONE electronic pad on the counter to do so. By the time it was my turn it was after 3:26 and the system automatically cancelled my appointment. When I asked about it I was told I needed to get in line again and wait 2hours for the next available walk-in appointment. Which I did but then decided I wasn't waiting around 2 hours at this ridiculously run facility. The website is no help either because the schedule feature doesn't work so I called to schedule a new time and was transferred to an extension that went straight to voicemail. Good luck getting a call back when you can't even get though to the main desk half the time. read more

I stopped by 8:30pm and after a quick, 5 minute intake with a nice front desk manager, I was seen by Cynthia Hackbart, NP. Despite it being 30 minutes before closing, Cynthia treated me with the utmost patience and kindness. It was not rushed and she asked me comprehensive questions. It was better service than I receive at my primary care physician. They even called 5 days later to see how I was doing. I feel much better physically and I was also given peace of mind.
