I was able to do all the paperwork conveniently online before my appointment. Her approach to dentistry was a very refreshing outlook where she looked for the why & ways to prevent issues and approached dentistry with the whole body view in a holistic way. She explained everything in an extremely easy way to understand and digest. She was understanding of my concerns and what my goals were for my teeth. Her "comfort menu" offered at the beginning of the appointment was helpful in creating a relaxing environment (I've never seen this before). The overall office was top notch. They gave a full tour of the office instead of just taking me to my room which was so comforting. She had many alternative methods in her way to approach dentistry including ways of taking X-rays including CBCT. The new initial patient exam was informative & she explained the results in detail and how I can improve my dental, airway & sleep health. She tested my oxygen levels and airway as I was having breathing issues during sleep. Explained next steps in helping me with my airway and sleep. I elected to get Invisalign & the equipment she used (I believe called iTero) was comforting and quick to get instant feedback (no impressions needed). Everything was done right there on the spot and she showed how Invisalign can make my smile the way I want. Dr Artani offered traditional & alternative ways to getting fillings and explained me my options. I will definitely be bringing my kids here as well after Dr Artani explained about HealthyStart which will help my kids with early guided growth and sleeping/open mouth breathing issues. Front desk was friendly & helpful in processing payment and made it convenient to schedule any additional appointments needed. Ample parking available and located on the first floor. But now that I've tried another dentist in my new location, I can firmly say that I'll be driving the 1.5 hours away just to stick with Tyl. There are two types of dentists- the kind that are just in it for the money, and the kind that you really trust. Dr. Tyl is the latter- he made such reasonable recommendations and even recommended against doing certain work that other dentists have tried to convince me is an "emergency". The office is beautiful and the receptionists and hygienists are just beyond nice. It's just a perfect office. The only drawback is that they aren't in any insurance network, but it really doesn't make a difference since most dental insurance pays the same for in-network and out-of-network. It just means that I had to pay some nominal fee, like $10 if I remember, for each cleaning. I can live with that! I faced outrageous treatment when I took my daughter who chipped her front tooth to this doctor. It…read morewas a costly job so initially I was relieved when the friendly staff told me that they have a credit plan that they can offer me and that they offer to all their regular patients. However, once the doctor who had not heard my conversation with the staff glanced at me from down the hall everything changed. He walked over to the the people at the front desk and let them know that he could not offer me any credit. Suddenly, the offer of credit that the that his staff had offered was withdrawn. I had a history of paying him in full in the past for smaller jobs so there was no logical reason for this reversal. I believe I was denied the service that they typically give "all" their patients ...remember that's what the administrative staff told me ..because of the color of my skin. I believe they withdrew the offer because the doctor saw that I was black. The timing was almost immediate. When I confronted the staff with my beliefs they just laughed at me and said that I was ridiculous but could give no other logical explanation. If you are someone doesn't wish to support businesses that treat people differently based on their appearance stay away from this guy.

All I can say is wow. Typically going to the dentist for me is about as enjoyable as spending a day…read morescratching nails against a chalkboard. I think I just found my favorite dentist. Dr. Altomare was so pleasant and friendly. I was able to make an appointment the day of because my tooth was bothering me. When I got there I filled out the forms and was invited back right away. I didn't request it at the time of my appointment but I was about due for a cleaning so I asked if I can have that done as well to save myself another trip. Dr. Altomare took the time to listen to all my concerns and asked thorough questions. He adresed the problem and then advised me that he was going to proceed with the cleaning. So usually cleanings aren't that pleasant for me either and are typically followed by a scolding session of how bad my teeth are, how I should get a cleaning every 3 months and basically be appalled at my poor hygiene. THIS doctor however did none of that. He did an amazing job cleaning my teeth, I didn't even flinch once. Instead of scolding me he actually provides useful advice - that i should switch to a sensitive toothpaste because my teeth are sensitive. He then proceeded to discuss my treatment "options" which aren't really options but definitely didn't bully me into a series of services I didn't need and didn't create mass hysteria over how urgent everything is. I have been putting of my fillings for YEARS because I didn't want to deal with dentist but I eagerly made another appointment for the same week to come back and get it resolved. 10/10 would recommend to anyone
