The St Frances Hospital & heart center of Nassau County, I was told is tops, so I agreed go there…read morewhile I was having a heart attack while visiting in the area. The ER care and attention was good and most of the nurses were young beautiful women. Processing was somewhat quick. What surprised me was the lack of room in the ER and then the lack of rooms. It made me wonder if the rooms were reserved for the wealthy. Don't get me wrong I was glad to be there and get help, but I have never seen anything like it. I was received to a bed in a spot in a hallway. I'm not kidding, I spent the entire night in a bed in a hallway. The good thing was that I was glad to be near a bathroom, that is, until others began using it and not just for number one, if you know what I mean. How is it that such a wealthy and well known place has no rooms for those taken in. I'm just in shock, and I would have left if I were not in such need of care. Well, the hall was at least clean. I felt like I was in some South American hospital that lacked funds. People can speak bad about the Bronx or Westchester hospitals or even Putnam county hospitals, but I have never visited one of these places and been placed in a bed in a hallway. I really don't know what else to say, except I can't wait til the morning sunshine to move on from here. I am so, so grateful for the Westchester, Putnam and Danbury, Connecticut hospitals. I will never complain about them ever again. Follow up: While there I engaged in conversations with other patients. They were more familiar with the Hospital and they had nothing but good things to say about St Frances Hospital and Heart Center. They all said that the hospital is always busy and the doctors were very good and responsive. I guess as always we live and learn. Who would have thought that beds in the hallways was a common thing in this area for this great place.

Woah @ Marie freaking out below bc she can't handle her flu shot lol? Ummm it's a flu shot it…read moredoesn't matter who gives it to you it causes dead arm. Better to have the flu shot than get the flu? Not the doctor's fault... Dr. Patel is an AMAZING doctor for both nephrology and primary care. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found him. I have lupus so I am at a number of different specialists ALL OF THE TIME. (Think min. 5 doctors visits/month - I know bad doctors and good doctors!) Not only does he have an awesome bedside manner, and I mean like hangs on every single word you say and dissects/asks questions, but he's pretty funny if you're clever enough to catch it. I have brought him a list of problems and he actually takes time to listen and understand how I feel, and remembers me each visit down to what I was wearing! He also is WIDELY respected by the medical community, every single doctor/specialist I have seen outside of his practice literally goes "Woah.. that's your PCP?? He's REALLY good." I recommend Dr. Patel with absolute conviction as one of the BEST medical professionals I've ever had the pleasure to deal with and am so lucky to have him as my doctor! Very responsive via. MyChart. Also I am not being compensated for this review and noone told me to write this. I was looking up his phone number and saw bozo Marie's review and had to let everyone know who's looking him up how amazing he is. PS - Getting the flu shot helps with heard immunity so less people get the flu in general.. Bc I am immunocompromised, I am at a high risk for extreme complications from the flu but also am unable to get the flu shot. (yes I am in my 20s and the flu could be fatal!) Please get ur flu shot!

After hearing the constant bombardment of the dangers of not getting a flu shot from the media this…read morepast winter, I finally decided that I should probably get it. I went to the White Plains Hospital Medical and Wellness practice in Armonk NY to get a flu shot by one of their so called "Doctors". The doctor that gave me the shot is called Dr. Tejas Patel. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!! This "doctor" ruined my arm!!!. I can no longer lift my arm above my chest without experiencing a great deal of pain. I always knew that the health care in this country was bad, but my goodness, are these doctors so inept that they don't even know how to give a simple injection without crippling a person?!!! I have spent a great deal of time and money for therapy to help my arm return to normal, but nothing has worked. After researching the web, I found that there are a lot of other people who's bodies have been badly damaged in some way from getting a simple flu injection from their doctors and nothing has helped them either. Isn't it TERRIFYING to know that you better not get sick because you cannot rely on a doctor to treat you and make you well? Normally, I don't get the flu shot, and don't get the flu either, but felt compelled this year only because of the media's constant reporting of the number of deaths, the abnormally strong strain and the high number of people who were getting sick. The media's grim picture of this past winters flu epidemic was so frightening that I was foolishly convinced that is was the best way to protect myself. However, if I had known that there was such a thing as being crippled from getting a simple flu injection, I would have certainly reconsidered, regardless of the health risk associated with catching the flu bug. . THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING A FLU SHOT, OR ANY KIND OF INJECTION AND CERTAINLY DON'T GO TO DR. TEJAS PATEL AT WHITE PLAINS HOSPITAL IN ARMONK NY..
