I've been using for years on a sporadic basis. Prices have continued to go up, like everything else. The quality is good to great. My challenge is with communication and shipping. I have sent numerous emails to their customer service dept and never get responses. When calling, I will eventually reach someone who does not speak English well. My last two attempts to reach customer service were related to shipping. Not only won't they gang up orders to ship, but they overcharge. My last order of 100 trading cards weighs less than a pound. Shipping via FedEx home service is $12.74. Print Firm charges $20+. This does not seem to fall in line with their "lowest price" "can't beat us" model. They need a USPS ship option and need to charge actual fees. if there is handling, detail that in the order. read more

I was referred to Print Firm by a friend who used them to print postcards or their business. I had previously ordered my postcards from a local print shop across the street from my business and spent about $530 for 2600 postcards. When I called Nick at PrintFirm, he walked my through their website and quoted me $110 for 1000 postcards or $160 for 2200 postcards. B/c the quote was so low, I figured their quality was probably not as good. I figured I would order $100 worth and see how they turn out. I just received my postcards and was in awe. They look exactly like the original ones I had printed for less than half the price. They also shipped it to me overnight, for $12!!!!! I have used Print Firm for over 5 years, but my last order was printed poorly. I handle printing for several of my clients and my last order of 17 sets of 250 business cards printed with a pixelated logo and wobbly text. I immediately contact them and indicated my client, who is a OPTICS firm, needed to have business cards that had no issues. They have refused to either reprint or offer a credit. At this point they are a liability, don't print with them if you don't have several months to go back and forth about the clean VECTOR graphic not being pixelated. read more

I have been working with this company for some time. Originally, they were located in a run down office building on Hollywood Blvd. Now they have their own building in Canoga Park. They've come a long way! I had to produce postcards for an upcoming show. I downloaded a template from their WEB site, then used Adobe Illustrator to create the cards. I saved the files as .pdf's and uploaded them to the site. The total cost was 1/2 of what Vista quoted. They quoted a 5 to 7 business day turn-around. However, they delivered in 3 business days. I did call and talk to Cynthia because I had a question about uploading the files - and she was very helpful. So, good price, easy to use interface, good turnaround time, on site assistance that friendly and helpful. What more could you want? Highly recommended. read more

Worst customer service on the planet. The manager could care less about customers. My company had letterhead and envelopes printed. About half of the envelopes were not aligned well. When i picked them up I noticed it and left them with the front desk. Instead of listening to my complaint and calling someone the receptionist said "you need to fill out this form". Strike One. I waited 2 weeks for someone to call me. No one did. Strike Two. So I called them. The receptionist said to send an email to a generic customer service email. Strike Three. No response. Sent a second email. no response. After 30 days of waiting for a response from my email and 45 days after picking up the order (i am not exagerating) I get a call from the manager Alex who wants to put the blame on my graphic designer. I asked him how it is possible that only half are misaligned. He says they printed them in 2 batches. So exactly how is it possible to screw up half the order and it be the graphic designers fault? Strike Four. He wants to give me a 25% discount 6 weeks after these envelopes are printed. Are you kidding me? Strike Five. I had them printed at another print shop. They came out perfect btw. and I had them 2 weeks before I heard back from the manager. In fact, when the manager finally reached me by phone, I had already filed a dispute with American Express who had already refunded the amount for the envelopes. Please lets hope they go out of business very soon. They have worked so hard toward that inevitable outcome. read more

I was really interested in using them as a regular print shop for my trading card business. I did a small personal job through them and felt the product was only 75% there: when I talked to the sales person to try and come to a solution, he was very condescending. If they can't handle something as simple as borders on trading cards, it makes me hesitant to send anything else their way. Folks, be wary of their cancellation practices!!! We placed an order, cancelled the same day via email. They wrote back with a semi-acknowledgement, but buried within that acknowledgement was a requirement to FURTHER cancel, basically acknowledge again that we cancelled, by saying 'yes, we cancel' again - you must confirm your cancellation even if submitted in email AND said cancellation is responded to BY THEM! Print Firm is famous. They were the inspiration for the movie: The Human Centipede. The writer of the film must have ordered from Print Firm, received a print job that looked like Helen Keller was working the machine, dealt with their mind-numbingly atrocious "customer service", and was then inspired to connect them mouth-to-anus-to-mouth-to-anus-to-mouth-to-anus. Our story is a bit less cinematic, but just as brutal. We ordered business cards. They arrived badly miscut. They were unusable. We dealt with Alex to get a new batch printed up. He was beyond rude, and reluctantly agreed to a reprint. In a twist that we still can't wrap our head around, he sent us SOMEONE ELSE'S business cards! So now we have two batches of unusable print jobs. This second time around, it's not that Alex wouldn't make it right, but he wouldn't even respond to our emails at all. Not a peep. We assume that he simply couldn't care less about fixing his mistakes, but the odds are just as good that he was too busy playing Truth or Dare in the Chuck E Cheese bathroom. If you want a dirty fight over email, a print job you're too embarrassed to use, and a kiss goodbye to your money, call Print Firm; it's your dream come true. However, if you want poorly cut business cards, or cards for a business that isn't even your own, call me; I've got a ton I need to get rid of. read more

The printfirm.com website touted the many benefits of frosted plastic business cards. It said, "PrintFirm's frosted plastic business cards are even fancier than the white plastic cards." It went onto say, "They (frosted plastic cards) are perfect for handing to high profile current or prospective clients." The sample card shown on the website included a colored background with white text. Perfect, I thought, as it was a design very similar to mine. So, I ordered a batch of the frosted plastic business cards. I was impressed with the communication as they started my job. They let me know that someone was inspecting my design, to make sure it looked correct. And they let me know when my job had been approved for printing. When the cards arrived I was very disappointing as they were unreadable. There was no way these cards could be handed out. I was upset, because I paid a premium for these cards, based on the information on the printfirm.com website. I wrote an email to the firm to let them know that the cards were unreadable. I offered to send a few, or all, of the cards back for inspection. I waited a week and received no reply, so I wrote again. They replied, letting me know that my issue had been sent to the "claims department." After a week, and no communication, I wrote again. They replied, saying that my issue was still with the claims department. Three weeks after my card order I finally got an answer. They declined my claim. They made the following points: 1. There is nothing wrong with my cards 2. Frosted and clear plastic don't work well with business cards 3. They recommend that business cards be produced on white plastic, not frosted plastic. In one sentence they say that nothing was wrong with my cards, and in another they say that they know that cards don't work well on frosted plastic. Additionally, their advice at this time contradicted the claims made on their website about how frosted plastic cards are a step-up from white cards. I strongly advise against doing business with this firm. read more

I have seen The Human Centipede, all three of them, and I must admit, I would probably have enjoyed being sewn mouth-to-anus than put up with Alex's attitude when something goes wrong. When something goes wrong, don't expect them to admit fault and do a reprint, you are basically screwed... or should I say, Human Centipeded. They have main stream the ordering process to there website. I personally didn't like that at 1st but today I gave it a shot a my order has been received and is being processed as I type this review.
