Unskilled and poor quality results. I took my 1970s house plans here for digital scanning. The guy scanned them and the quality was so low you couldn't read the text. He said that's all he can do. I then brought his co-worker over and co-worker said we can try higher resolution. We scanned one page and it was a little better. The guy then asked me to do his job by unrolling the blueprints and flatten all the edges. I told him I'm not happy with the quality and wanted to leave. He said I have to pay him or he won't give me my plans back. I paid with no product and left. I then took the plans to another shop, and they produced crystal clear high quality scan in color with no problems. read more

I wish I could give them 10 stars! Kian & John are truly masters of their craft. I had a number of complicated files/designs that I needed business cards and stationary made of. After going back and forth with a few other designers and business card/print shops, I was extremely frustrated, invested and dissatisfied with this process of getting my stuff done. I was driving by Van Nuys Design & Print and noticed it and thought I would stop in, expecting it to be a complete shot in the dark. Kian sat down with me with my files on his computer within 5 minutes of me getting there and after about 20 minutes, he personally adjusted every single one of my design file to make them print-ready. Awful customer service, I walked in because I was in the area and wanted to view a few examples of the work they do here. The man who greeted me is either just stared at me when I asked for a brochure on some of the services they offer, then I asked for some examples of the work they do to clarify. He gave me some random flyer and continued to stare, finally when I said thanks and started to head out the door he asked for the flyer that he gave me back and continued to glare at me. Great job at chasing away potential customers and not having any material to provide as an example of the service you provide. It's not that hard to provide decent service. read more

Needed to print some business cards right away so i called this printing shop. I was told that my card needs to be " set up" and needs a "set up "fee. I went in and took a look at the sample card and came back changed more. I was told the card is ready to print. Went back again and was told there is another "set up" fee in order to print?! I don't understand what is so called " set up " fee is, because my busienss card has gone through multiple rounds of revisions, and I already submitted successfully on vistaprint for a large quantity printing request. Nor do I understand, why they need to charge set up fee twice, with the first time not even ready to print?!?! On top of that, the guy tried to sell me cheap quality cards, when I asked him about the weight difference, he realized I did my homework and asked some one else to help me.. and finally told me it needs three busieness days to deliver. They try to rip people off with small money, a little here and there. But they don't see the big picture. Business cards is a long term need. I went to another printing store and had it print out the next day, without any questions asked. read more

OK...i go in yesterday and get a print...comes out to 17 bucks. There is a technical issue on my behalf and need to get it reprinted. When i go for the reprint which was needing an extra 2 inches the price magically turned into 35 bucks. OK if this was a male escort service i wouldn't argue over 18 bucks for an extra 2 inches. he took about half an hour to use photoshop which i have a masters in. Apparently he is 600 bucks an hour.
