The owner told me he fell into financial hardship so I paid him the entire amount before he finished. He promised he and his crew would finish that day. I even gave him extra money to come back and finish the work because he underestimated how many days he would need to rent equipment he couldn't use because of the rain. He did maybe 60% of the work and never returned. The work they did perform I found later wasn't don't right - everything grew back - I had to have another company come out only to find he never put paper under the areas he mulched. He didn't pull any of the roots out as promised. I have a contract but the point is mute. It was an expensive lesson to learn. I am posting not to get anything back at this point and I am certain they will not return now to finish the work. I want to be sure no one else has the same situation occur. Disappointed.
